Chapter 11.1

Both sisters walked arm in arm to the house. Throughout the ride, Tina briefed her sister on how her first date went, including meeting the family.

"Did you tell him about granny?" Lina asked worriedly.

"Yes, I did. I did try not to paint her in a bad light, however. She's still our grandmother," Tina replied, releasing her sister's arm to open the door.

"When do you plan on telling everyone at home about your boyfriend?"

"Soon. Since I already met his family, it's only right for him to meet mine."

The sisters chattered until they got to their respective rooms and bid each other goodnight. The first thing Tina did was whip out her phone to text her boyfriend.

"I'm home now. What about you?"

After sending her update, she thought back about the dinner with Jeff's family. The "marital home" Sia had mentioned was still stuck in her mind even after Jeff explained. If he got the house to start his family, did that mean that she could design the house to both their likings?

She smacked herself for her silly thought, 'his input is the most important. No mixing of business and private affairs,' she thought to herself.

Her phone rang, drawing her out of her thoughts.

It was a video call. It was their first time doing this, so she was a bit nervous. Still, she picked it up with much delight.

"Hey," the voice came through the phone, making her heart trembled. They had just seen each other some minutes ago but seeing him through the little screen made her miss him so much.

"Hey," she replied shyly.

"I miss you, so I wanted to see your face. Now I miss you even more."

Tina examined the man through her phone. His skin was smooth and clean. He had his hair pulled back and was sporting a simple t-shirt. His eyes were bright, and if she was in front of him, she'd see her reflection in those beautiful eyes. He didn't keep a beard, which she loved. She was able to see his defined jawline. That was the most attractive part of him, so she liked touching it a lot.

During the past few days, she discovered new things about him, and they made her like him even more. If they could stay like this for a long time, she'd be satisfied. Extremely satisfied.

Maybe because she wasn't saying anything to what he had said, Jeff called out to her again.

"Babe!"

That address definitely snapped her out of her admiration.

'Babe?' Throughout the evening he called her Tina. Where did the 'babe' come from? It was sudden, but she didn't hate it.

"I miss you too," she said back in a tiny voice.

Just as she was about to talk about him coming to see her family, she saw two heads pop out from the screen. Not long after, she was looking at two women and Jeff was nowhere to be found.

"Oh my dear girl. Granny misses you so much. Next time, you should spend the night," Sia's voice could be heard as she smiled at Tina.

"Yes dear. You can stay in Jeff's room. We are open-minded individuals. Plus, the top floor is his, so you don't have to worry about being interrupted or disturbed by us," Mrs. Strider chimed in as she stared at her daughter-in-law lovingly.

Although she was shocked at first, she quickly adjusted her mood and smiled at them.

"I'll definitely drop by soon to see you, whether or not Jefferson is around," she replied sincerely.

"Very good, very good," Sia nodded.

"Well. We'll be expecting you. Make sure you keep in contact. You have our numbers now," Mrs. Strider said.

"Yes, I do. I will make sure to keep in touch," Tina nodded happily.

"Okay now. We'll leave you to keep chatting. Goodnight."

"Goodnight," she waved at the two women. Soon Jeff showed up on the screen again looking dissatisfied.

She giggled. He looked cute when he was asleep and when he pouted. Her man was just so cute.

"What's wrong?"

"Looks like there are two more people to fight for your attention with me," he sighed helplessly.

"It was you who wanted to take me home. You can't complain now," she righteously pointed out to him.

"And I do not regret it one bit. I'm glad they love you just as much as I do. I think I love you a little bit more," he smiled.

"Just a little bit?" she replied cheekily.

"A lot more!"

Could love ever happen that fast? If you were to ask her what attracted her towards Jeff, there wasn't a definite answer. His presence, from the first day, made her feel good. The feeling of familiarity made her feel like they belonged together. She doesn't know what the future holds for both of them, but she was willing to try and be with him. Whether it was liking him or loving him, she was very willing.

"I love you a lot more too," she said gently.
