Chapter 8 : The Secret

It was like a hot seat.

I & Earth was in closed record room.

Earth has lists of questions to me that I need to answer immediately.

Most of the questions are about cultured, laws & known people of my time.

Some questions were about animals still present & biography.

Common technologies like cellphones & communications beings used was also asked.

I answered briefly & quickly.

"Okay, that's for today. I still need precise answer. You are only giving me 50% of information." Earth said as he closed the record room.

Let's take a sleep & tomorrow prepare for your body examination at Dr. Ralphs clinic.

It was in this night. I felt another body weakness. It feels like my body wants to give up. It felt so hard to adjust into the environment for I don't know the reason.

We are lying down on our body & I know that Earth was sleeping.

I looked into him. I do not want to tell him about my situation because he might give me to the time guard. I want to stay more days with him.

I am being bad but when I hold his hand, I felt secured as I sleep soundly.

I wake up. I know I gained energy even a little.

I saw Earth well cloth in white metallic thing.

"Wear this one." He gave me a cloth which was same appearance as him. Except that it was in dressed type.

I wore the dress & ponytailed my hair.

Finally, we went outside the condominium. I stayed there for 4 days.

It was a 4 days of spreading the lavender scent also & 4 days of boring days with the technologies.

When we walked outside, I was like a 3 year old child. I pointed lots of thing to Earth & asked.

"What is that?" I pointed to a transparent glass with lighting at the tall building that seems like pathways.

"That's the pathway of electricy. That was Crome tech."He explained.

"That one?" I asked about floating circles.

"Used by people who doesn't want to walk but has no hovercraft called as holedeck." He explained.

I asked a lot that makes him not answer.

He showed me his floating car which he called as hovercraft.

I was amazed when I ride on it.

"Oh there are lots of this." I said while looking to some on the sky road.

As we traveled, I saw that Earth was totally different now.

"What that?" I pointing to the far away floating land.

"That's the floating city which was 100 kilometers away from here." Earth said.

"It was my dream city. I want to settle down to that place."Earth even added that makes me want to go there too.

"Earth, I want to go there too." I said to him.

"We will go there soon." He said as he smiled to me.

"Polar Lore landed." A voice from his cover craft said.

"Wow. Is that a snow?" I asked when we landed.

"No. That's dust feather.

We entered the closed clinic.

"Finally, you & the time traveler." Dr. Ralph said while in the front door.

"Where is your girlfriend?" Dr. Ralph asked. He smiled when he discovered that I was wearing the red metallic shoes that he had seen before.

Earth puts his arm on me as he introduce me to Dr. Ralph.

"She's the time traveler from year 2020. I will be here for whole day. Please take care of her as you examined her body." Earth said.

"Sure." Dr. Ralph replied.

"I have nurses inside. Kindly Miss year 2020. Go inside & change cloth."Dr. Ralph said nicely.

I went inside as I am being guided by some cyborg nurses.

"She's my girlfriend by the way." Earth whispers to Dr. Ralph.

"I knew it." Dr. Ralph laughs a little.

For 4 days I stayed at the temporarily closed clinic of Dr. Ralph. They examined my body by entering a big white hole that detects the inserted technology of my year.

They found four items but didn't remove it as they think that if I lose one of the 4 items I might die or will never return back in my time.

The 4 items are seen in my eyes, lenses have little chip, second one seen was in my right wrists, it was in form of digital clock that looks like counting, third one is a small chip on my ankle that seems like a voice recorder & lastly a small digital clock like again at my left leg that seems like counting backward.

Dr. Ralph, explains everything to Earth & also me.

He asked me if I know it but I said that I do not know the functions though I know them already.

The lenses is used for visual recording, the wrist digital clock is my time traveler monitoring device for returning back, the digital clock at my legs is also a time traveling device & lastly the ankle chip is really a voice recording device.

Finally, my checked up was done.

I went inside the hover craft while Dr. Ralph is talking to Earth.

"She's not telling everything about the devices on her." Dr. Ralph said.

"I know it." Earth replied.

"Is she not also telling about her body's condition?" Dr. Ralph said.

"What do you mean?" Earth asked.

"A time traveler of her time will find it so hard to adjust in our environment." Dr. Ralph explained a little.

"She seems normal & energetic." Earth said without any doubt as he looks to her on faraway.

"Okay. Bring her again here incase that she'll break down. I am willing to help your girlfriend." Dr. Ralph said that touches Earth's heart.

"Thank you Brod. You are a true friend." Earth smiled to him with a shaking manly hand movement.

"Hmm... I can give you an advice. I've read the initial medicine for a time traveler's sickness. Kiss her on lips to share your energy. It will lessen her lost energies. She'll manage to adapt to our time."Dr. Ralph said as Earth went out.

"Thanks." Earth said.

When Earth entered the hover craft, he touched my forehead of then checked me.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Oh, yes. I'm 100% good." I said happily said.

"I thought you need my kiss to be alright." He said in a kidding voice with a serious face that makes me silent.

"We are still at Polar Lore. Let's do fun things here." He said to me.

It was very fun at Polar Lore. It is the place where we can touch little fireworks in our hand & can put our thinking into holograms.

We also had eaten raindrop cakes & cotton candies that still exist in his time.

"Wow. Fruits! It was here!Apple!" I pointed to the big electronic billboard.

"Do you want some?I'll buy it." Earth said to me.

"I want to cook. I want to serve you my foods in my time." I said to him.

"Okay. Then let's look for your possible ingredients." Earth happily said.

We had brought a lot of possible ingredients.

We went back to his condominium.

I miss Bobow so much. So I firstly looked at him inside the house.

"Oh, it doesn't smell good here. We're not here for 4 days." I said while using 4 cube balls that makes Earth feels so dizzy with the smell.

"You've used a lot." Earth said to me as he looks that we only have 11 remaining of lavender cube balls.

This night our food is no longer tangerine bay. I cooked veggies chopsuey. Actually it's not the same appearance of my chopsuey at year 2020 but the taste is same.

"Hmm... Yummy..." I said as we eat together.

"Yummy." Earth said while eating in a feeling of not liking the taste.

"If you want I will cook every night for you."I said to him.

"I'd love too." Earth responded to me.

We went to bed together.

I can feel my body is getting weaker. I might soon will not wake up.

"Earth, whatever happens please don't bring me to the time guard." I said silently while looking to him on the bed in a little distant.

"I won't give you. Stay with me. Cook food for me. Be incharge in making my place smell like lavender & eat food with me." Earth said that makes me happy.

"I will... I want to stay with you forever." I lastly said as I fell asleep.

Earth touches my face as he looks at me while I'm asleep. He can feel that my temperature gets too hot.
