*Flashback*
"Ben!"
Kira screamed as she saw Ben fall down. The moment Ben hit a rock, Kira's face stiffened. She then ran to him, worried.
She tried all means of waking him up, but he never did. When Kira asked Pat to call the nurses, all he did was stand there, grinning. He then let out a laughter in response to Ben's incident.
"Ahhhh, how amazing!" He said.
His eyes gleamed and smiled as his mouth smiled with them. His eyes widened as he smiled. It was the face of evil. He slowly went closer and closer to Kira and grabbed her. She pushed her by the wall, and intertwined his hands with Kira's. His eyes were filled with lustful intent. He slid his other hand from Kira's cheek, going closer to the lower parts of her body. Kira slapped him in the face in response to this.
"This is not how the student council president is supposed to act!" She said in an agressive manner. She carried Ben by herself, assisting him by putting his hand on her opposite shoulder. Their pace was slow, since Ben was too heavy for her. When she entered the halls of the school, she screamed, "Help! There's someone unconscious!"
When the nurses rushed to them, their bodies stiffened as they saw a girl carrying a boy covered in blood. Without wasting a second, they called the ambulance. While waiting, the nurses tended to Kira's wounds and cleaned Ben from the blood. They asked Kira to explain what happened. If she didn't, she would be accused for all of it. She explained that there were zombies in the opposite side of where the events took place. The nurses didn't believe this, so she took them to the corpses. When they arrived, they covered their mouth to prevent them from vomiting as they saw two corpses covered in blood.
After a while, the ambulance arrived, and they quickly transported Ben to the nearest hospital. The nurses then told the school president about this, and he issued a report about what happened.
After this, Kira went back to playing the game. She thought about how ironic the game was especially since it happened in real life, and she saw it with her own eyes. She just stood there, thinking about what would happen to Ben. It would have been okay since it was just a faint, but Ben hit the rock, and from the sound itself, she knew it was going to be a big problem.
She jolted as she felt a tap in her left shoulder. She heard the words, "tag! I got you!"
Kira put those thoughts aside for now and continued playing the game.
It was dismissal the same day, and all the students were exhausted. Some complained about their bodies aching, their wounds, and their losses. Some rejoiced as they flexed on winning their first games in the first month of the school. A group of students surrounded Kira, her classmates in particular, and they talked about the fun they had during the games. Smiles formed on their faces as they talked about it. Kira forced a smile.
Before leaving, Pat called her. He said he wanted to talk. They went to the student council office and talked there. It seemed as if Pat wanted to give her something. This time, he didn't have lustful thoughts. His eyes were sincere, like the world depended on whatever he gave to Kira. The thing he gave to her seemed like coordinates to a place. After a brief talk, Kira left the room and decided to go home.
She walked by herself going home. The street she walked in was not the same for her any longer. She shivered to the thought that zombies would jump at her and infect her.
She walked small steps going home, in fear that she might alert zombies. As she stepped on a twig, she jumped and shrieked as she heard it snap. She covered her mouth and scanned her surroundings. She then continued walking.
The same road, the same environment, but Kira became anxious. This was the first time she had this feeling of complete fear. Her heart thumped so loudly that she could hear it. She shedded sweat, and it traveled from her forehead to her chin, down to the ground. When she reached home, she sighed it relief. She quickly opened the door and locked it.
She went back to her room and laid down. She looked at the barren, white ceiling as she laid on her bed that was decorated pink. The smell of the air from the air conditioner calmed her down. She thought about everything today, and hoped that everying was just a dream. She was just a regular highschool student. Why did she have to go through this much?
As she closed her eyes, she couldn't help but imagine a zombie feasting on her. She couldn't sleep. Her eyelids became weaker and weaker and they wanted to close, but the gore thoughts about zombies came rushing to her. She was shivering from the cold filling her room.

It was the next day, and not one second did Kira close her eyes. She did her morning routine, then went to school. She walked to the school slouching. Her eyes were weak, and eyebags formed beneath them. She looked pale, since she didn't get any sleep. The thought of Ben still lingered in her mind, and she can't get rid of it.
Kira's eyes opened widely and her jaw dropped as she saw the school. It was so... quiet. She checked the time to see if she was early, but it was already time for classes to start. She wasn't informed that there were no classes.
When she entered the school, her nose took in a very foul odor, enough to make her want to vomit. As she walked closer to the halls, she noticed marks on the walls. The moment she went in, she fell on her knees.
She saw bodies lying on the floor, their skin ripped apart. Holes on their heads were seen. The chairs were torn apart, walls were demolished, and blood covered the floor. Her body fell in despair. She murmured silently that her words couldn't be heard. She then heard a slam on the wall on her right, and she flinched. She thought of escaping, but her legs wouldn't cooperate. She was just there, looking at the dead bodies in agony.
She then averted her gaze to the classroom where she heard the slam. She saw a shadow going outside the room. Out of fear, she covered her eyes with her hands. The moment she heard a familiar voice, she relaxed.
"H-Hey, what's up?"
"Pat... Murphy?!"
