Familiar Faces

The students piled up on the corridor of the buildings. Someone in one of the buildings shrieked after seeing Timotheo and shouted:

"Call the cops. Hurry! Or the Anti-Ex."

The university that time looked like an arena. It was like a match of millenium was being held because of the number of watchers. The students were puzzled about what's happening as of that moment. But they knew the fact that someone was hurt.

Meanwhile, another match was about to start. The two armed men were staring at each other trying to calculate each other's move.

"Why are you here, Rein Tokugawa?" Zero asked, killing the silence and still alert of attacks to come.

"It's not time for you to ask questions." said Rein, standing straight and walked towards Zero.

The distance between the two fighters was not that far. That's why when Rein made two steps, Zero rushed to him, swinging his death scythe.

Zero thought he was about to slash or even hit Rein. But that's a wrong presumption of his. Rein dodged Zero's attack.

"You are as hasty as ever." Rein said, before hitting Zero's death scythe handle.

Zero almost dropped his weapon. Good thing was he managed to take a good hold of it, enough not to get it out his hand.

Zero back off a bit. Rein took the opportunity to run in front of Zero in such speed. He swang his katana from the right to slash Zero's body.

Zero disappeared suddenly. He was swallowed by what looked like a black hole by the time Rein's katana was about to reach him.

Timotheo's friends were strucked in awe. They never saw someone disappeared in that way. Especially into the black hole thing. Even the audience was amazed by what Zero did. And they all wondered where Zero went.

Rein smirked as if he was used to see such supernatural thing.

"Oh, right. You got that gift. Almost forgot." Rein said.

Zero appeared suddenly beside Sam who had been standing like a soldier since Josef activated some sort of spell.

"Hey, buddy. we gotta retreat." Zero said to Sam, soaked with the rain drops.

The rain was stopping when suddenly an armored car parked in front of the gate of the university. A man in a camouflage uniform got out of the vehicle and entered the gate.

Rein was shocked to see the guy in camouflage. He thought that was such a wrong time seeing him.

When the guy's foot landed on the school grounds, everything felt like the gravity just got increase. They felt like their entire body was being pulled to lay flat on the ground.

Timotheo that time was unconscious because of the battle he got into. Dave and Marie, still tied up, were terrified by the presence of the guy in camouflage. So did Josef, Shyla and Fate while Zero and Rein were somewhat cautious. And Sam, in his entire life, never felt such fear that time. He wanted to bend to this powerful guy but the urge of fighting him was also in his mind.

"What's going on here?" the guy said in a military tone.

No one answered.

"Oops I'm sorry. Is it hard to move?"

He lifted his gift. All of them were relieved. Immediately, Zero used his gift. He pushed Sam to the somewhat like a black hole. Before he entered the hole, Zero looked at Rein and said.

"We are not done here yet. Tss."

Rein just looked at Zero as he disappeared. Men immediately ran from the gate when the two disappeared. The guy who entered first went to Dave and Marie to untie them.

"You're lucky you're still alive." He said to Dave.

"Thanks, Col. Greg." Dave said.

Dave ran to Timotheo and so did his friends as Col. Greg followed.

"Timotheo!"

Timotheo was still unconscious. Marie cried and so did Shyla. Josef felt somewhat guilty. He felt so useless. Shyla knelt to check Timotheo's body.

"He's heavily damaged." Shyla said.

"My healing gift as of now will not suffice to tend his injuries."

Col. Greg looked at the situation. Upon looking, he right away called all his troops there to pick up Timotheo and take him to their camp where he could be nursed properly.

As the troops did what they were told, Col. Greg looked at Timotheo's friends and felt their worry.

"Okay kids. You all come with us. Just make sure you're gonna behave."

The students in the university felt relaxed after seeing the Anti-Ex. They had been watching what's happening since the bell rang.

Rein was hesitating to come. But, he thought it would be such a waste of time to come with them.

Col. Greg stopped and asked Rein:

"You sure gonna come?"

"Yes."

"Just so you know, you are still being investigated"

Rein started walking after hearing it. Col. Greg looked at his back coldly as he walked.
