There's a reason for everything ;)

"I'm going!" Olivia's sister yelled and then I could hear the front door close.

Currently, I am sitting on the kitchen table, enjoying breakfast. Who would've thought that I had my p*nis on Oliva's ass right here not so long ago… in the dream.

I raised my head from my breakfast and my eyes met Olivia's.

It seemed that she panicked and turned her head down to gobble down her breakfast. She was surely thinking about her "Vivid Dream"! I smirked evilly at her actions and asked: "Did you sleep well?"

"Hmph! You don't need to know!" Oliva got up from her seat and headed towards the door but stopped as if she thought about something.

"I changed my mind. If you want to know, come to my room at 10 tonight." She said before running off.

I blankly stared at her figure. Damn! Am I going to get some sweets tonight!? Surely that's the case, right? I sat there on the table, wondering about what Olivia was indicating. Perhaps she wanted to continue our "Session" from the dream!

"Not enough time! I'm going to be late again!"

On the alley of the street market near my family's duplex, I dashed about wildly. I weaved back and forth in the middle of the crowd that could drown a person. As the time is only 7:20 AM, there are still a lot of people going around to buy fresh groceries at a good deal. Sadly, this is the shortest route to my school, so I have to take it because school is going to being in 10 minutes!

This had occurred because I was daydreaming a bit too much about what Olivia wanted me to do tonight…

"Ah!! These aunties should at least make way for people like me who want to take the shortcut to school!" I am quite depressed about how there are so many people and complained in my head. The majority of the crowd were just haggling over the prices of groceries, and they were making moving around a bit hard.

"There is still ten minutes!" I glanced at my phone and breathed out a sigh of relief. If I increased my speed, I would reach class before it begins.

Just when I was preparing to rush all the way to school, I saw a crowd of people gathered in front of a fruit stand, looking at something.

Because I am running late, I was planning to ignore whatever is happening, but curiously, I gave it a quick glance.

As I turned towards the direction, I saw a grey-haired old granny lying on the ground. She clutched her chest, and she appeared to be suffering from a heart attack. But.. the people surrounding her didn't seem to have any thoughts of helping the granny. Instead, they were discussing among themselves.

"This is probably a scam. It's happening quite lately around here."

"Cough… Cough... Why don't you people help her? She looks like she's fighting for her life!"

"Do something! The old woman might not be able to hold for long!"

"Right! Someone call the ambulance!"

"Dude! We've tried calling for the ambulance for a while now and it's on its way. But someone needs to bring the lady to the main street. Vehicles can't enter the market street."

"The main street is kinda far, though! Will this granny make it?"

"This looks a bit sketchy if you asked me…"

Listening to all of their words, I understood what these people were afraid of. They were afraid of being swindled. What if they help the old granny, yet she blackmailed them with the fact that they're responsible for her predicament? Have you even seen how tiresome those swindlers are? Such incidents were appearing on the media lately, so what if they became victims instead of heroes?

I stopped running and turned around to help the granny. No matter the consequences, I did not want to regret later that I did not do anything to help.

"Aren't you afraid of being deceived?"

"Shut up! It's a good thing this youth is doing a thankless job! What if this granny really needs help!?"

I disregarded their comments. I just couldn't ignore the old granny if others aren't willing to help. Although I'm an indecent man as it could be seen from the previous night in the dream with Olivia… I'm not a heartless person.

"Granny, please endure for a bit more. I will bring you to the main road for the ambulance!" I picked up the granny with my arms and dashed towards the main road, opposite from my school. The apples from the bag she was carrying rolled on the cement.

Without any delay, I dashed towards the main road.

"Move!" I yelled at the aunties who're blocking the way.

On the way there, I sweated buckets and panted heavily. As I'm not a fit person, running while trying to be careful with the granny took a toll on my muscles.

I looked down on the granny, and her face was pale. She gripped my sleeves and tried to gasp for air. Seeing her, I knew that this was no joke. It's a real emergency!

But soon, I could hear the sound of an ambulance. As I turned around the corner towards the main road, the ambulance drove past the old granny and I.

Screech!!!

The driver stepped on the breaks.

"Is she the old lady from the street market!?" The paramedics asked as their team quickly came to assess the old granny.

"Yes!" I breathed heavily as I answered. Although it wasn't a long time, I was still exhausted!

"Thank... Thank you… young man." The old granny, who was being tortured, struggled to open her eyes and thanked me.

"Granny, don't speak. Just hold on and don't waste any energy, you'll be alright." Hearing me say that, the granny closed her eyes and let paramedics take over.

"Take her to the ER! Young man, are you this grandma's family member?" The paramedic who arrived checked the granny's condition before asking me.

In response, I shook my head. I didn't know who the granny was.

"That's fine. We'll contact her family members later. Just rest assured!" The paramedic said as he headed off with his crew.

Looking at the ambulance rushing away, I felt relieved. It's a good thing that the granny is now in expert hands.

But seemingly thinking of something, I turned my phone on and looked at the time.

7:27 AM

There's no doubt about it. I'll clearly be late for the first class. Unless I can teleport there, I would not be able to make it in time.
