"So, what's this discreet message Lady Aka gave to you?" Someone asked, a familiar voice.
"Let's wait until we get to the house" A person said, both of them walking, with the guy carrying a small boy on his back.
"Why does this seem familiar?" Evan said, as he walked along with them, trying to get their attention in anyway possible, but failed miserably.
"BIG SIS, MARCO, HEY, TALK TO ME!" He waved his hand in front of them, trying to push or stop them, but his body and hands only pass through, as they went their way towards home.
"We're here" Clarisse said, as she unlocked the door to the house and ushered Marco to come inside, Evan followed.
"Still the same house as always"
"You can put the boy down in his room"
"Sure, Milady" Marco replied, grinning at the teasing he did. Clarisse then blushed, her face turning as red as a ripe tomato.
"So this is what they did while I was unconcious" Evan said, sitting in the chair at the dining area, watching them and not uttering a word, as he felt it was incredibly useless if they can't hear nor see him.
"Can you please stop that?" She shyly said, as she went to the kitchen to prepare some food for her guest.
"No can do Milady. As it is proper etiquette to respect the one I love" Marco answered. He just finished putting the boy to bed and placed a blanket on him, then gone outside of the room to talk.
"I see" She replied, carrying a tray with foods and drinks to accompany the long night ahead of them. She sat on the chair and placed the tray on the wooden table.
"Now, what is it you wanted to discuss?"
"Let's get started shall we?" Marco said, also sitting at the chair to the opposite side of Clarisse and grabbed the wooden cup filled with hot tea and sipped, then placed it gently back down, his eyes dead serious in the moment.
"The boy must now know the first part of his prophecy, and the training he must do for him to have any chance at defeating the emperor once again".
"But" She paused "He is still only seven years old!" She shouted, "Can't it not wait for until he is old enough to carry the burden?"
"No, it must be said, before your death comes to a close" Marco looked down at the wooden cup's contents, his heart now filled with pain as he has no ability nor way, to stop her foreseen death.
"CAN I ATLEAST KNOW WHEN WILL I DIE!?" She shouted, surprised and scared about her coming death, but still chose to talk about the task at hand. "AS SO I'LL KNOW WHEN WILL I TELL HIM WHEN IT'S TIME?"
He never spoke, as he has already known when her death is, but cannot spoke of it because of the oath he swore to his master.
She cried and cried until her eyes bawled out and cannot cry anymore, tossing anything that she can throw, releasing the pent up anger of knowing that her inevitable death will come, and that she will not see her little boy grow.
After she has calmed down, she spoke in a shaken, moderate town. "Continue"
"A brave death, that is all I can say" He wiped her tears using his own two hands, the black gloves still worn. "But I can only say what I'm allowed too, and thus, I will now speak of the message she has sent me"
"For when the time is ripe
Pain will fill the boy's heart
As he swore till his death
That the dead will be avenged"
"That is only I could say for now, as of the training" He paused, looking at her eyes, now dried with tears and glaring at him for quite a while now. "The training will begin when he is twelve years old". Her body, tensed and scared before, now relaxed and calm after a long night.
"It's fine for me, atleast he could still enjoy what childhood he has left" She said, Marco sighed in relief.
"Let's call it a night, shall we?" He said, as his equipment now slowly turning to dust.
"Fine by me" She replied, both her armband and his now turning to skin and flesh.
"The time will come when I will tell him everything" She said. "For now, let's enjoy what peace we have"
"Agreed"
>:T
His sight, now covered in darkness after he witnessed their discussion in a house they once called home.
The scenery changed again, it directed to the moment right before the horde's attack. He saw right before him the moment where Clarisse and Marco fixed the invisible barrier. After he listened to them talking and Marco trying to flirt to his big sis, which he accepted at this point, he then felt something firing a fire's breath in a distance.
"GET AWAY!" He shouted, but they never heard him. They went on with their talking while fixing the barrier itself.
"I SAID.." He tried to push them both, but only fell into the ground, realizing that he cannot intervene, but still tried anyway. "GET AWAY!"
He tried and tried to get their attention. Pelting rocks, dirt, and everything he could thrown, but nothing worked. He looked up to see the fire heading straight at down. He ran towards his big sis again, seeing the same fear she felt while sensing a massive attack towards them.
She pushed Marco back and uttered a chant silently, as Marco had white blocks down in his legs going up through his head. He still ran towards them, trying to save his big sis, as he panted because of exhaustion, but never stopped.
The last thing he saw was the same, infectious smile her big sis had, before a fire breath decimated her and the town to ashes.
Then the scenery changed again.
"No, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!" He punched the ground over and over again, until blood spew on his knuckles, but no pain nor regret, can ever save his big sis.
After calming down, he opened his eyes again to see himself in a place with bright light, and as he looked right in front of him and saw his big sis now crossing over the light.
"No, big sis, don't go" He weakly said, as he raised his bloodied hands, the blood dripping down to the floor, as he tried to reach her, but he cannot.
He tried to stand, but he had no strength.
He tried to crawl, but he lost the ability to control his hands.
He stared. His body now lying on the floor, only capable of moving his head.
He tried to shout again, but this time, no words ever came out.
He watched as Clarisse walked into the light out of her own choice. She walked and walked until she finally reached the gateway.
Before she took a step forward, she casually looked back, and saw a boy, crumpled onto the floor, bawling his eyes out.
She then spoke, her last final word before she goes. She also waved her hand up to the air.
"Bye bye, Evan"
>:T
"NOOOOOOO!!!!" He shouted, lifting the upper part of his body from a futon, the towel on his forehead fell onto the floor.
"I see your awake" A man said, sitting in the nearby doorway, looking outside. He has orange hair and orange eyes, and is wearing a black shirt and pants.
"Marco?" He asked, as he checked his surroundings and felt very curious and scared at the same time. He looked down the blanket to see him wearing white clothes. He then remembered his sister.
"Oh yeah, I just had a dream about big sis Cla...."
"SHUT UP!" Marco shouted, as he punched the wall on his side, leaving a large hole, and it left Evan to stay quiet.
"I'm sorry" He apologized, staring at the morning sky again. The breeze waving his hair and clothes. "Just, don't remind me of your sister okay?" He calmly said.
"Okay" He replied. He tried to remember what he dream, or nightmare, he experienced and remembered the memories of the last and the ones he just knew now.
It stayed quiet for quite some time and became very awkward, until Marco spoke.
"I guess you remember what we talked about, right?" He asked "The prophecy and stuff"
Yes, I did" He answered, as he just noticed how much he was sweating before he woke up.
"Alright then" He stood up "After you eat, come outside and I'll show you something" He then gone outside and closed what Evan thought atleast, is a door. He stood up and fixed the futon he was sleeping into, and placed onto the side, while checking the placed he is now staying in.
The place itself isn't too big. It felt more like a traditional era vibe for him, and it made it oddly comfortable, as if he liked the idea ever since. The floors is like walking onto ground, but without the inequal footing and dirtyness of it, and it is colored in what he seems is light green. The walls were in multiple squares, the dark wood on the four sides, and the white in it, indicating it was a square wall type. With the door having the exact same design, but the squares are much more smaller and on the bottom, while there is only white at the top. The room though looked like it was made in hay or wheat. He never really knew what it is.
He looked around to see an oil lamp on his side, a small nightstand for clothes and other essentials, and a small table with a cushion to sit on. A tray filled with food and tea is placed onto the brown table. He walked into it and sat at the cushion. He drank the tea first, and blew the contents, as he forgot to blow first because it is super hot. Then, he ate the food served in a plate.
"DELICIOUUSSSS!!!" He said, happy for eating for the first time in a while. "HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE I ATE DELICIOUS FOOD!?"
"one week"
"What?"
"You've been sleeping for one week, that's why you felt as is if you never ate delicious food" Marco said, as he opened the door again, glaring at him. "EAT FASTER WILL YA!?" He shouted.
"YES SIR!" He replied, and chowed down at the remaining food at his plate. Afterwards, he grabbed the tray, opened the door, and gone outside.
The morning sun shone its light while he hid in the roof's shade. He looked around to see a lot of equipment placed onto the ground. A spear, a sword, and lastly, the bow.
While trying to find Marco, an arrow blew right off him and was mere inches from hitting his head, but shot at the wall instead. His face turned pale, losing much of any feeling in any part of his body.
"Good, you finally finish" Marco said "Come over here, I'll show you something"
He slowly walked towards where Marco is, still holding a wooden bow and an arrow case behind his back, fully loaded. He reached him, still feeling nauseous, while feeling that he might throw up the delicious food he ate a while ago.
"Sit" Marco ordered. Evan looked everywhere and saw nothing to sit on.
"Where"
"JUST SIT".
He sat immediately, thinking that maybe he should really throw up to end all of his suffering.
"As you can see around you, there is a bow, a spear, and a sword" He pointed to the weapons behind his back. "I want you to pick your first weapon you want to try"
"Hold up" He thought to himself. "Just woke up, ate, and had a life and death situation mere seconds ago and this man now wants me to choose a weapon" He clapped in his mind "How wonderful this place is" He wanted to say to him, but looking at how he has been staring at him, probably not.
He stood up and looked at each of the weapons, then went towards and hold each and every one on his hand. The accuracy and fragileness of a bow. The tenacious and sturdy role of a sword. Or a medium ranged, heavy spear. He didn't felt any relation towards the three weapons and felt as if something's missing, till he realize the weapon he used the past week ago.
"Ummm, if I may ask?"
"What?"
"Is there any daggers available?" He asked. He waited for a long, awkward minute. Thinking if his audacity can kill him by glaring alone.
"May I live for a longer life" He thought, hanging for his dear life.
"I don't actually" He throw the sword right at him and it almost hit him, just by a mere inches again. "Just use this sword for now, as I need you to learn a lot of things for atleast three years".
"I think I'll be dead" He thought again. But remembering the lives lost because of him, his big sis, and....
"I'll do it" His eyes now dead serious, losing any life and energy it had a couple of seconds ago. He picked up the blade and gripped is handle very hard.
"Good" He summoned the black gloves and equipped it. "Come"
"No teaching? Anything"
"Let me see if you have any talent at all"
With that provocation, he charged on with full might, raising the sword up above his head.
"What kind of a charge is that?" Marco thought, as he readied himself on handling his attack head on. As Evan attacked and slashed Marco on top his head, he grabbed it using only his hands covered in gloves.
"This isn't one of those games you know..."
Evan kicked him in the chest twice in full blows, and only managed to push Marco back a little.
"You seriously think so?" Evan said, releasing the blade on his hand and distanced himself away. Marco threw the blade away on the side as they heard the clanging sound of the sword on the ground.
"Good" He praised him. "Choose your next weapon then"
"I already did" He replied, picking up the bow and some arrows on its side. "Its never bad to be a little stubborn right?" He then shot an arrow and was supposedly targeting Marco's head, but it hit the back of the tree instead.
"Too slow" He walked towards the tree and grabbed the arrow on its bark. When he faced Evan again, there is already four arrows fired.
"Seriously" He caught the four arrows on his hand and dropped it to the ground "Is that the best you can do?" He said, trying to awaken anymore power and talent hidden inside the boy through provocation and emotions.
The boy grabbed another arrow behind is back, only to realize it was already empty.
"I'll give you enough time to pick the spear if you want too" Marco said.
"Don't get too cocky, or that face of yours might shatter in an instant" Evan said, as he walked where the spear is and grabbed it. It then multiplied itself into two and launched towards Marco.
"Really, getting all that talent from your father, it must be really nice"
"What do you mean?" Evan asked.
"I mean" Marco grabbed the two spears "Who else will you get that talent except from your father himself?" He threw both of them instantly and it speed went up much faster, hitting the little of Evan's cloth while both the spear and him flew towards the house.
"Maybe I should've been more careful" Marco thought. He ran into the big broke hole from the door in the house, and saw a hanging Evan into the walls, with the two spears keeping him from going down as it not him, but little of the clothes his wearing inches from the actual flesh, on his waist and left leg.
"Thank goodness your fine" Marco wiped the sweat on his forehead as he removed both spears on Evan. "I'll surely be dead if I injured you".
Evan fell to the ground unscathed, then he stood up and met Marco from eye to eye. Imagine a giant looking down his children,
that 's what would describe them.
"I never knew I had this power before..." He said "And what do you mean this power belongs to my father?"
"Well actually" Marco thinked that maybe he can share some of the child's personal info about himself, and after some pondering, he told him. "Your father is an expert in every weapon that the five nations speacializes on, and he also has the power to summon them individually or use them in order without straining too much of his body" He thought to himself again and looked to the child "Oh no" He realize "I got carried away"
"And yes you did!" A cute voice said behind the door.
Marco facepalmed himself and thought "Thinking that the worst person that could ever visit if actually here"
"You know I can read thoughts, M-A-R-C-O" A beautiful woman behind him said, wearing a simple red dress and red boots while carrying a basket full of food.
"Sorry Ma'am" Marco prostrated himself towards her. While Evan was left confused on what's going on.
"Oh my, oh my, look on what you did to the boy!" She said, carefully placing the basket to the ground, and running towards him to hug him very tight.
"How cute he is!!!" She giggled, her soft skin touching him everywhere while he is drowning in her....
"I see you're still a pervert as always, Evan"
"Excuse me" He paused, still trying to break free from her grasp. "But, who are you?" She released him.
"Oh right! I forget about the amnesia once you go to the white space!" She kissed his forehead, and red lipstick stain now stayed there. She slowly hold his face "Now you'll remember who I am"
The memories that is selected for him to see are now returning to him. He felt stupid after not recognizing who she is. Feeling that it should've been natural remembering.
"Let me repeat my" She coughed "DISTURBED VISIT"
"SORRY MISTRESS!!!" Marco said as he continue to prostrate himself to her.
"Good morning Evan"
Evan thought for a second, before greeting her. After a while, he kneeled himself to her as a sign of respect
"Good morning, Lady Aka, goddess of fate"
