"Now" Evan said, turning back around to the husband and wife, both hands on his pockets. He pointed the two unconscious bodies behind him using his thumb. "Help me carry those two back".
Both of them stared in disbelief, thinking that they didn't heard him right. The buff guy spoke, "Are you saying that you want us to....."
"Carry them?" Evan answered, putting his hand at his pocket again. "Yes, since I think we already know...." He paused, looking up at the light blue sky beyond, the sun shoning its light anywhere it could reach. "That you don't have any choice now"
"How-how did you know?" The wife asked, her voice stuttering everytime she spoke out. "Tha-that we're being observed?"
"After seeing how Miranna used an observer back at the inn" Evan replied, summoning his bow and aiming at the sky, determined to shoot what the buff guy and the wife couldn't see at all. Evan shot a highly pressured arrow by using the air that is surrounding them. He materialized it in his mind to concentrate the air around them into an arrow, then shot once.
"I knew something is watching you two, always". After a couple of seconds, something blew up in the sky, as metal remains started to fall down to the ground. He repeated this process four more times till he knew there is nothing watching them anymore. "Now that no one's watching" He said, his bow diminishing to blue dust, till it is no more. He offered his right hand to the buff guy, signifying of help towards him. He smiled again. "Will you help me get Miranna back?"
The two were both staring at the teenage boy in front of them, as they never saw someone that strong in an early age as his. He also didn't have a Chronos to begin with, making the buff guy a bit suspicious and curious about the boy's innate talent.
"I-I know we aren't in any position to ask" The wife said, her words still stuttering from fear. "But, how can you summon a weapon without a Chronos even? And how can you sense something so small that even both of us can't see?" She asked.
"Luck maybe?" Evan replied, still offering his hand to them.
"B*******" The buff guy thought to himself, knowing that there is no luck when it comes to that guy. He already knew he has a secret behind his power, but never asked him. Instead, he accepted the boy's offer and stood up to form a handshake to him.
"Then, we'll accept the offer" The buff guy said, feeling the soft and rough hand of the boy, which he can't understand why it felt that way, but it is. The only thing he knew is that this boy would help both of them in achieving their goal, the only task that ever made them got stuck with the jerk in the first place.
"But, I want to add something else to offer" He said, which made Evan grin in interest and curiousity.
"What is it then?" He asked.
"Save my daughter" The buff guy gripped the boy's hand harder, but Evan didn't flinched nor groaned in pain, he only returned with a stronger grip on par with the buff guy.
"Deal" Evan replied, both of their hands raised up and down in approval, and both of them let go.
"I didn't tell you who we are right?" The buff guy said, carrying his wife in a back carry, making the lady embarrased and feeling herself hot in the face. But, she knows that she won't even have the strength to stand, after witnessing what that boy can do, even with only a bow.
"The name's Zacharius, or just Zach for short" He answered, making his wife's position a lot more comfortable, making sure her wife is strongly gripped around his neck to ensure she won't fall. "And the lady behind me is my wife, Castriel"
"Nice to meet you" She said, her fear slowly diminishing as she now knows the boy is on their side.
"Well, nice to meet you to, Zach and Castriel" Evan replied, walking back to the two who are very much looking dead at this point with the wounds and all, but they're merely unconscious. Evan carried Ezekiel behind his back while Zach with Pierre.
"Let's go home then" He said, walking back to the direction towards the town. The sweat around his clothes making him a bit irritated, but nonetheless, it was good that he made it in time before the two were killed.
>:T
"D*****!" Avilius shouted, pounding the table while seeing that all the screens were pitch black. He was overjoyed a moment ago when Zach and Castriel manage to defeat both of them, but that boy. That single white haired boy, made them surrender in an instant. If it wasn't for the one that he has in hostage, he'll definitely be a lot more irritated than he is now.
"Ummmm, boss?" Someone said behind him, panicking a bit at seeing his boss's rage just a while ago, but still urged himself to speak. "What are we gonna do with the girl?"
He tore the room apart, destroying the remaining screens, tossing the table that he broke in half, and the chairs where his former employees had once been. The guy just stood there, thinking if he's still going to live after the things he is seeing right before his eyes. He thought of leaving and just about he is opening the door, his boss spoke.
"Stay" He said, calming down a bit after thrashing thr whole place, making the guy close the door and stand while sweating buckets.
Avilius walked to the left and right over and over again, until he thought of an idea that might change the odds in his favor. Since, after losing his two most strongest minions, he has been thinking of a plan on how to turn them both against the boy.
"Bring their daughter here" He answered, making the guy jump a little and replied in many "Yes boss" "Right away boss" and left the room in a hurry to fulfill Avilius's order.
"Not what I thought when those two chase both of the boys" He said, looking at the dark wall in front of him, while sitting at the remaining chair he didn't destroy yet. "But, let's see what will you do once your daughter is in the fray". After that, he laughed and laughed, excited about the coming battle a week from now. He calmed himself a bit and looked at the picture of the boy again, a lot more crumpled than last time.
"This will be interesting"
>:T
"So" Ezekiel asked, pointing at the brown haired lady and a buff black haired man right in front of him. "This two are our allies now?"
"Yeah, pretty much" Evan replied, eating a small bar of cheese, which he grabbed in the nearby food stock in the kitchen, knowing that no one would argue since they both save them from getting killed back then.
"Ho-How did you do it?" Pierre asked, staring at the two pair and Evan suspiciously ever since he woke up from his long slumber. He had been sleeping for almost a day starting yesterday when the fight happened. He just opened his eyes once morning, gone out, and see the guy who almost killed him with a lady, eating at the dining table while Evan is eating cheese.
"Well, its a trade secret that no one must know, right Zach?" Evan replied, elbowing Zach a bit for him to help keeping what happened a secret. After the fight and the journey on the way home, Evan made both Zacharius and Castriel keep it a secret to both Ezekiel and Pierre once they wake up.
"How would we know they wouldn't betray us the moment they could?" Ezekiel said, clenching his fist in anger on how useless he had been in the fight. Making Pierre fight on his own, and to his surprise, Evan finished it, but he doesn't want to tell what happened.
"Yeah, that guy almost tried to kill me and that sucker move of a dart coming from that lady over there!" Pierre answered, also irritated on how he could've almost won the fight, if it wasn't for the girl who shot him a paralyzing dart that originated from the Vermite's poison.
"Just trust me you guys, I already did the necessary steps to ensure that" Evan replied, eating the last bit of cheese and is happy that no one scolded him for doing so.
After a bit of thinking, while the two sat on the chair, so anxious that they didn't finish their meals yet, both Ezekiel and Pierre decided to trust Evan. It made the husband and wife relax and continued to eat the meals that were left.
"Thank you for the meal" They both said, as the lady stood up and washed the dishes they both used, while Zach remained behind.
"So, what's your plan?" Zach asked, wiping off any crumbs that was left in his mouth.
"Well, that would be....." Ezekiel said.
"You'll be in the front line along with that big guy over there" Evan pointed to Pierre, who has been sitting in the couch ever since, forming a card tower in the table despite his big physique. When he heard his name, he looked at the dining room, only to feel that his tower has fallen apart, which irritated him much more.
"And your wife will be coming with us" Evan finished, leaning at the kitchen counter while the scrubbing of dishes is heard from the sink, where Castriel is.
"And the best way for this plan to succeed" Ezekiel added, feeling a little bit of jealous on how Evan is taking his role being a leader. "Is for you to draw as a plan of the place".
"My wife can surely fix that, as she is the brains of us two after all" Zach replied, feeling a bit anxious about how everything has been going ever since, and about what will happen to their daughter. "But can tell us all about what to do...."
"Excuse me, as I need to talk with my friend Evan here for a sec." Ezekiel said, as he pulled his friend to the door, opened it, threw him in there, and closed it.
"Such a weird prince you have here" Zach said, while he continued to watch Pierre on what he's doing, while he saw a man fall apart again after finishing his card tower, it fell apart because of the vibration from the door.
>:T
"Okay, I understand that they follow you now" Ezekiel said, while holding both of Evan's shoulders. He still couldn't shake the feeling of suspicion in all of this, especially towards Evan. "But, why can't you tell me what your plan is?"
Evan held one of Ezekiel's shoulders and talked in a calm way. "You'll know why soon enough" He pushed Ezekiel away and went again towards the door. "Just..." Evan gripped the knob "Trust me on this, and I'll explain everything after the problem is done" He opened the door, went in, and closed it with a bang.
After that, Ezekiel's untrustworthiness towards Evan grew, but decided to follow him anyways, trusting the one who saved him from getting eaten by a Scorpix.
>:T
"First things first" Castriel said, drawing parts of the place in paper "We need a lot of Vermites for their poison"
"What about the possessed people?" Ezekiel asked, worrying about the innocents they fought yesterday.
"I asked Pierre about that" Evan replied "And it seems there is a way to dispel it" He sighed, knowing that the solution to it isn't easy as it seems. "But, only people with high skills in magic are the ones who can dispel it. Right now, Pierre is still searching within the city...."
"Actually" Ezekiel answered, happy that he can finally be useful for once. "I know a Mage around here who is skilled in dark magics and alike" He stared at them, thinking of whether to say it to them, as it's a big disadvantage for him if she came...
"Yo!" Someone said from the door, a girl dressed in a pink dress with frills down to her thighs. Her long pink hair going down to her back, while her pink eyes has been looking directly at Ezekiel ever since she came, recognizing who he is.
"EZEKIEEELLLL!!!!!!" The girl shouted, running at him in full speed and headbutting him to his stomach, making him fell from the damage. She sat on top of him and rose up and down on his stomach. "Do you remember me Ez?"
"Hahahahaahaha" He nervously laughed, while both Castriel and Evan looked at them, confused about who she is.
"Do you know her?" Castriel asked.
"I have no idea" Evan replied.
"About her" Someone said on the door, which made both of them turn around. They saw Pierre filled with scratches from his face, arms, and legs. "She's Miss Ayako, Ezekiel's older sister"
"Wait" They both said, looking at the Ayako hugging Ezekiel very tightly, suffocating him in the process. They both looked at Pierre again. "THEY DON'T LOOK ALIKE!" They both shouted in disbelief.
"Ah, about that...." Pierre scratched the back of his head, thinking of how he would explain the long, long history of the Reige family. "By the way" Pierre searched around the room looking for Zacharius "Where's Zach?"
"Ahhhhh" Castriel replied "He's hunting a lot of Vermite for now while Ezekiel, Evan, and me started to devise a plan on how to get inside in secret.....Hold on" She paused for a second, thinking of what she forgot, and remembered. "HOW CAN YOU SAY THEY ARE SIBLINGS WHEN EVEN JUST FROM HAIR AND EYE COLOR ARE LARGELY DIFFERENT!?"
"About that, its a family secret that only the most trusted of the family can know, and are bound to not tell anyone" Pierre replied, his heart beating faster as the topic is something that shouldn't be talked about in the first place. One small mishap and it may take his life.
"Oh okay" Evan answered, then he stood up and went to the siblings, patting the sister in the back to call her.
"I think you shouldn't do that..." Pierre said, but it was too late.
"WHO DARES TO INTERRUPT MY TIME WITH MY CUTE LITTLE BROTHER!?" She said, punching randomly from behind her and hitting Evan right his chin, making him faint.
"I should've just punched him back then if I knew it was that easy" Castriel said, looking at how weak Evan is, but then he remembered what he did and her whole body shivered.
"Ah, actually" Pierre replied, stuttering a bit "He did the right thing to fake faint"
"Why?"
"Because once Ayako's into it and you disturb her, she will hurt you throught scratching, punching, or many more ways till you faint" Pierre answered, seeing how many scratches he sustained after meeting her in the town plaza.
"Oh" Castriel said, fixing her chair to face the two siblings, letting Ezekiel deal with it on his own while Evan slowly crawled away.
"Help. Me." Ezekiel mouthed at them both.
"Haha, Karma" Evan said, standing beside Castriel and Pierre, watching the brocon release her pent up emotions.
"Let's watch till they finish?" Pierre asked.
"Agreed" Evan and Castriel said, getting a bit of popcorn on a bowl and watched on how Ayako rubbed her face to her brother.
"Popcorn?" Castriel asked
"Sure" Pierre replied, grabbing a bit from the bowl and ate some.
"I'll. Get. You. For. This." Ezekiel mouthed again, before suffocating again in Ayako's sisterly love.
"Yes yes, now carry on" They all said, seeing the all might Ezekiel getting devoured by Ayako's love and affection towards him.
