Waking up

"WHAT THE HELL YOU DID TO ME!?" Evan shouted, tucking in his white blanket in front of him, acting like a lady who's chastity was forcibly stolen from her.

"Don't worry" Ezekiel replied, pointing at Miranna who has been staring at him for quite a while after he woke up. "That b**** won't lay a finger on you while the three of us are here".

"My, my" She answered, going in the room with her eyes closed and her hands on her chin. "What a harsh way to introduce someone"

"DON'T MY MY ME YOU...." Evan was suppose to say, before getting interrupted by Ezekiel.

"Now, now. We shouldn't cause a ruckus on someone who just woke up" Ezekiel said, while Evan looked beneath the blanket and only saw a plain white shirt and black pants. He searched his whole body and suddenly realize his necklace on his neck, holding it on his palm.

"Oh right, about that" Ezekiel added, staring at the necklace with interest. "Where did you get such a unique diamond?"

"What do you mean by unique?" Evan asked, looking at both Ezekiel confusingly and at Miranna weirdly, wanting to know about the necklace that suddenly showed itself.

"I mean" He paused, trying to think on a way to word it clearly, knowing that he has something very rare and priceless at his hands. "Diamonds are only considered a myth in these times, and is considered that the one who has it, is blessed with power beyond one could ever imagine"

"You really think so?"

"It's only a rumour after all, and besides" He moved closer to him, raising up his hand and trying to take a look on his necklace. "It never showed when we met a month and a week ago" He was very close on getting the necklace, until Evan moved away, instinctively dodging Ezekiel's hand from getting a look.

"Dude, why you dodging?" He tried to grab the necklace again, moving closer to him.

"I don't know" He dodge again, this time, to the right. "It just happens"

After that, a lot of afterimages were seen where Ezekiel tries to grab it, but Evan manages to dodge it everytime, not even once did he caught the necklace. Ezekiel got tired, and thought of a new idea.

He grabbed Evan's shoulder, which to some reason he didn't dodge, and then tried to grab the necklace again.

He got punched right in the chin, as both Miranna and Evan are surprised to what he did.

"THE F***" Ezekiel cursed, as blood dripped from his nose while rubbing his chin, feeling the pain he sustained from that punch. "Why you hit me?"

"I've had this strong gut instinct to punch you once you got closer" He replied, then started to bow to him as a sign of an apology. "I'm sorry".

"COULDN'T YOU HOLD IT IN?" He replied, grabbing Evan's collar and moved his face closer, beet red from anger. He also started to point at his chest, which Evan didn't understand why but didn't interrupt him. "AS I'VE TRIED TO PROTECT YOU FROM THAT LUSTFUL WOMAN TWENTY FOUR SEVEN!" He pointed at Miranna, who has been leaning at a nearby wall, whistling and minding her own business for a while, waiting to get a chance to catch Ezekiel off guard.

"You're chin and my fist felt really good" He answered with a smug face, smiling at him and teasing him a bit more. "Can we do it again?" He said while tilting his head.

"WHY DON'T I DO IT FIRST YOU F*****....."

"Ok, yes, stop now" Miranna said, pulling Ezekiel back by holding both his shoulders, enjoying the moment of the prince struggling in his arms, while finding a way to make him past out and violate Evan, or so she thought.

"I had a dream about Avilius" Evan said, not minding any pleasantries and headed straight to the point. He knew that he must talk this out, knowing that his questions will be answered much faster this way, as he already got a clue just by hearing Pierre and Miranna's name.

Both of them instantly stopped, as Miranna let Ezekiel go, and stared at him suspiciously, analyzing from the top to bottom.

"What do you mean by Avilius?" Ezekiel asked, oblivious to the dark past both of his saviours had thirty years ago. He looked at Evan with full attention, listening to any word he will say, as it might give information about the *so-called-traitor* that both Miranna and Pierre called him.

Evan recalled all of the events he dreamed about, telling them every detail as so they could help him out and relieve him of the guilt he feels now, killing an innocent man

"Thirty years huh?" Miranna answered, looking out of the window, seeing the morning sky as bright as it have been, remembering the horrors of their captains betrayal. While Evan waited for a reply, Ezekiel stared at both of them, angry of him getting left out again.

"Ezekiel, please leave" Miranna said in a serious tone, glaring at him with all she has. He was about to argus, but, remembering that face of hers made him shiver down his spine. He went out of the room, and closed it in a bang.

She sat at the bedside where Evan is, and made use of the opportunity and felt his legs behind her. Then, she started to talk about the past, the terrible past they both endured, until now.

"Thirty years ago, our captain, Avilius, started to act strange. Giving suicidal missions, bullying most of the weak willed among us, lowering the morale of the entire unit. He would immediately kill any person who didn't followed his orders, scaring any recruit that would ever join our ranks".

"One day, on a reconnaissance mission, we finished on our mission to give intel to the rebels who wanted to dethrone the king, as Avilius was one of the command leaders who didn't side with the monarch, and wanted to rid of him in any way possible. Coming back, a third of our troops were instantly slashed into half, as we all knew who was capable of doing such a powerful technique".

"We ran away towards the captain who reported us back to the leaders, branding us as with treason, even though he was the one who ordered us to do so".

She started to cry, tears flowing down her cheeks as Evan felt an ache on his heart, pitying the girl who saw her subordinates get killed by the person they trusted the most.

"Yes, he became an pyschopathic leader since then. Yet, we trusted him as a father, knowing that he wouldn't put any harm to our unit and would gladly give his life for our safety".

She wiped the tears trickling down, her mind and soul remembering that terrifying day like it was yesterday.

"Both me and Pierre were left after that massacre, but, he made us live for some reason, turning his back on us that forced us to retreat, leaving our dead comrades behind"

She smiled earnestly, after knowing the truth of his actions. The horrible past he endured and the sacrifices he made, just so they could both live and someday, create the chance to dethrone the king.

"Ezekiel will be our light and hope that we will use to overthrow that dictator down the sky".

"Why is he that important you two both look up at him....."

"Shhhhh" Miranna silenced him, lifting up his shirt and feeling in his well toned abs through the two years of training. "That will be a secret for now". Evan shivered in pleasure and in fear, knowing the fate that awaits him because of his curiosity.

"TIME TO LOSE YOU'RE VIRGINITY BOY!!!!" She said, lifting up his shirt and then hugging him very hard. However, she only felt something soft in her arms. Only then she realized that she was actually holding a soft, white pillow that Evan was resting his head in for a month.

She was about to throw a tantrum, before she sniffed the pillow in front of her, making her smell Evan's scent, forgetting the anger she held within.

"I'll go by with this, thank you very much" She said, while indulging at the bed Evan slept, reminding her of everything about him.

>:T

"That B******" Ezekiel said, walking out of Evan's room in anger, then went out to the streets to find something to clear his head of the countless times he's been clueless.

He gone inside a nearby inn to where they first ate, remembering their first meeting and cursing himself to why he instinctively came here in the first place. He sat at a nearby table and ordered a cheesecake, knowing that Evan will be angry since he ate his favorite food without him. The order came right at his table, and just as he was about to eat, the plate is snatch right in front of him, going at the right side. He summoned a knife at his right hand, thinking to himself to how he will butcher the b****** who stole his food.

"Hey buddy" He said, looking down at the table while hiding the knife at his hand. "Do you seriously want to die?"

No one answered.

"I see you have a death wish then" He raised the knife to his right, and faced the thief who stole his cheesecake, suffering the full blow of his wrath. "READY YOURSELF FOR A BEATING YOU F*****....."

"Yo!" Evan greeted, just finished on swallowing the cheesecake whole. He burped as he rubbed his stomach in delight, as he just had an enjoyable treat after being asleep for a month. Ezekiel threw the knife on the ground, which then turned into dust, and punched Evan right at his stomach, making him fall to the ground.

"YOU BLOODY B******" He shouted, arousing the people's attention while the innkeeper told everyone that it's only a daily occurence between the two, as they've been his customers for a long while, and also he wanted to enjoy his entertainment to when they always come in his inn. "HOW DARE YOU STEAL MY CHEESECAKE"

"I SHOULD BE THE ONE TELLING YOU THAT" Evan shouted, standing up and putting a hand on his stomach to somehow ease the pain he is feeling at the moment. He used his right hand to point at Ezekiel. "EATING ONE OF MY FAVORITES WITHOUT ME!" He glared daggers at him in disappointment. "AND THAT SIR, IS CONSIDERED A SIN!"

Ezekiel punched him again in the face, wanting to wipe off that pride of his. After Evan fell, he grabbed him by the collar again and showed his fist at him. "OR DO YOU WANT ME TO SINSIN YOU TO THE GROUND YOU WHITE HAIRED F*****"

"TRY IT THEN" He looked up to his face, teasing him to punching him as he already had a plan in mind. "OR ARE YOU WUSSY?"

"YOU B****" Ezekiel replied, readying his fist at him to deliver a blow, before someone called them from the inn.

"Oy!" Someone called, a buff guy came in from the inn and walked behind Ezekiel, towering over him by a lot of inches. "I need you two, now"

Ezekiel turned around and saw Zach glaring at both of them in anger, making him remember that one time he instantly got useless by a single blow, and then he suddenly let go of Evan, dropping him to the ground.

"Hello Zach!" Evan greeted, happy and disappointed that he came to early, as he wanted to let Ezekiel feel the pain of hitting his punching a wall in full force. However, he still greeted happily, knowing what happened a year ago because of underestimating the opponent too much. He didn't answered and dragged them both out of the inn, still in a angry glare since then after his wife died.

Both of them felt the friction on their butts, as their heads felt the concrete ground beneath and had a bumpy road before they finally have gone back inside the broken down inn.

They were both thrown down into chairs, as Zach sat on his own and started to speak.

"Tell me" He asked in a deep, intimidating voice. The weeping, sadness, disappointment, and anger, all visible at his face at the moment. Loosing his wife for their ends while his daughter was still missing, made him angry for the past month, as most of the answers were all kept by a person who was in a coma.

"What happened during that night" He paused for a second, trying to hold in on killing the two of them for their incompetence, resulting in her death. He continued, "And where. Is. My. Daughter"

Evan then started to recall the events that happened during that night. On how they went in, devised a plan on searching, gotten split up, Evan's futile attempt on distracting them, Castriel's sudden betrayal that broke off the supposedly early escape, how Evan came in, going in a secluded location, the time that she died, and how Ezekiel manage to defeat Avilius off. Cutting the vital information of him equipping red armor.

"I see" He only answered, before punching the nearby wall and leaving a big crack in it. Serving as a release of pent up anger and guilt as to why he didn't came faster. "I COULD'VE STOP HER DEATH!" He shouted, relieving himself of the pain he held on to for the past month. "SHE WOULD'VE BEEN SAVED IF I WERE FAST ENOUGH...."

"I'm sorry" Ezekiel apologized, bowing his head in grief and guilt for not being strong enough to stop her early enough.

They let Zach scream in anger, before calming down and asked the next big question for Evan.

"Now" He repeated the question again. "Where's my daughter?" He moved closer to Evan and cornered him to a wall, making sure that he was close enough to kill him before he got the time to meld to his surroundings and teleport.

"WHERE'S MY DAUGHTER!" He shouted, while Evan looked at the door, waiting for a signal for when she was coming in. Someone knocked on the door, which meant his guests came.

"Right on time" He said, pointing at the closed door in front of him, as Zach let him go and hurried to open it.

What he saw before him was their daughter who was lost a year ago. A small little girl who was tormented over and over again, before she was saved by Ayako.

Zach hugged her very tight, while the girl didn't receive it back. Instead, she only stared at the man before him, confused as to why he acted close to her.

"My daughter....."

She tried to pushed him away, which made Zach let go and look at his daughter to know why she's pushing him away.

"Is something wrong?" He asked.

"YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER! WHERE'S MY FATHER?" The girl asked, tearing Zach's heart apart.
