No One

Zi Xiang turned his neck, the world he knew spun around him as sick churning filled his stomach there was only the grass and the expansive sky above. Standing alone trapped in a inescapable field it was like Zi Xiang was the only person in the world. everyone had abandoned him and left him to die alone.

There was no goal for him, no smoke in the distance no lights in the sky. The only thing left for Zi Xiang to follow was the setting sun on the horizon. He had turned his back on the sun and Zi Xiang knew the sun would abandon him as well he was all alone in this world.

Behind him there was nothing the world was dead silent no one was coming.

Facing the distant horizon Zi Xiang's vision slowly started to blur the, sky turned from blue to yellow, then red and orange eventually the sky dimmed back into a dismal blue. Expressionless Zi Xiang watched the afterglow slowly fade as a droplet of water rolled down his face then another and another unable to hold himself back Zi Xiang lowered his head facing the ground tears. flowed down his face, staring from his eyes then his checks rolling down his chin, where they dropped down onto the grass. *pit-pat

The grass caught them on their leaves the tears slowly trickled down the stem all the way to the base, touching the soil they slowly disappeared absorbed into the exhausted soil.

Hopelessness filled Zi Xiang there was no one coming to save him he was completely isolated. Zi Xiang hesitatingly took a step backwards he wanted to go back and find if there was anyone was here to save him. But before he even took the second step he stopped himself.

He was unable to go, in a field with the freedom to go anywhere Zi Xiang was restrained by nothing but himself he was trapped he couldn't go back suddenly the grass he treaded through to get here was like barbwire he couldn't take a step without hesitation piercing deeper into his flesh every step he took.

Eventually Zi Xiang completely exhausted himself he could barely stand anymore, he began to get dizzy and every muscle in his body softened collapsing on the ground Zi Xiang looked into the sky the sun had just set and darkness began to consume everything. A moon had risen in the sky approaching from the south.

Through the tears Zi Xiang could see it rubbing his eyes to see it clearly it really was rising from the south it was much brighter than the moon usually was. Looking closely the it was shattered into multiple chunks, that seemed to be pulled back together. Observing further something was orbiting the moon a rusty, reddish submoon.

Zi Xiang stared up at the moons in shock, observing for awhile he noticed a few other distinct changes, the constellations the North Star, Polaris and a few other notable stars were gone. Different stars instead colored the sky noticing a few there were multiple prominent stars and unlike on Earth there was no light pollution the night sky was perfectly clear.

Zi Xiang began to laugh, he started to laugh a dry exhausted yet oddly pleased laugh.

*Hauh Haa Haa Haa

"This place is insane the stars are gone the Moon is gone the whole sky is fake! Nothing is real huh."

Zi Xiang started to laugh to himself again.

An overpulled grin contorted his face.

He gazed up at the sky watching the Moons and the stars.

"Hey maybe I should name the Moons and Stars here, there isn't anyone else to name them and since am going to die anyway I might as well!"

"I should call the big Moon Mos and the Small one Dos"

"HEY WHOEVER'S OUT THERE THOSE TWO BIG LIGHTS IN THE SKY THEIR NAMES ARE NOW MOS AND DOS IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT COME OVER HERE I'LL F*CKING EAT YOU ALIVE!" Zi Xiang screamed at the top of his lungs the sound traveled through the quiet night, Zi Xiang began to start laughing hysterically amused over what he just said and the strange sky he just kept laughing

and laughing. Until his attention got attracted to something else "HEY COME OVER HERE WISE GUY I DARE YOU!" Zi Xiang pointed at a star and started insulting it between laughing and crying.

After a few minutes he stopped, his eyes where bloodshot and, his throat was sore and completely patched, his body was too tired to continue.

Zi Xiang was unable muster up any more emotion like everything had drained out of him.

Utterly apathetic Zi Xiang stared back up at the sky suddenly he just felt empty. He didn't feel sad about being lost and didn't find the moons or stars amusing anymore. He didn't know what to do anymore feelings of depression, anxiety, and hopelessness ate away at him from the inside. And Zi Xiang just let them he didn't bother getting rid of any of the thoughts or try and cheer himself up hell he even felt alright with just dropping dead on the spot he just couldn't bring himself to care anymore.

Shivering from the cold Zi Xiang just let himself freeze he didn't bother putting on his jacket or do anything to keep himself warm he just didn't have the desire to. After nearly thirty minutes Zi Xiang got irritated from how much he was shivering finding it incredibly annoying he finally decided to put his jacket back on. He carelessly grabbed handfuls of grass pulling it up from the ground forcefully the friction from the grass left a few cuts on his hands Zi Xiang unbothered continued until he had a decent amount of grass he placed it under himself and above himself. Sliding into the grass he had something of a crude sleeping bag.

Closing his eyes Zi Xiang went to sleep.
