Horror Castle

"Oh! Hellkitty!" Harith clapped his hands, Nana was amazed, but Granger and Guinevere only snorted.

'Mister Helcurt works here? Woah! What a fitting job!!'

"Weeeelcome visitorsss to the Land of Dawn Fun Park'ssss Hoooorror Casssstle!!" Helcurt announced dramatically.

"Oh. He really likes ceilings huh?" Guinevere mumbled but Granger heard it and chuckled lightly.

"Prepare your soulssss because today marks a new era for thissss horrying place! You will be experiencing 4D jumpscaressss! HAHAHAHAHA! TREMBLE!"

Helcurt's scary laugh still echoed despite their cart was far from him now. The LED screens on the walls alerted everyone to not touch anything or they might get hurt.

"Ooh! I'm so excited for the new monsters!" Nana exclaimed, Harith agreed.

The whole tour, all visitors except Granger, as usual, screamed in horror. The two Leonins kept making fun of each other, everytime, after the scares of the Abyssal Monsters. Now, they were finally at the last part of the tour.

"You're a scaredy cat, Harith!" Nana giggled.

"Nah-uh! Says the one who hugged me earlier because of the spider webs!"

Harith stuck his tongue out. Nana became red all of a sudden and started hitting Harith screaming he was 'stupid'.

"Kids are so cute! Pffft!" Guinevere couldn't help but adore the two Leonins sitting infront of her.

"Hmm? Quite so..." Granger replied looking at giggling Guinevere.

'Would have been nice if Harley was there with Harith! And Lylia with Nana!' Guinevere imagined in her head at the potential ships.

Then suddenly, like dejavu, their ride plummeted down and the lights dimmed. Guinevere grabbed the person beside her instinctively as she shrieked. Their ride was moving so fast so was Guinevere's heart beat but slowed down a moment later.

Guinevere sighed in relief when the cart stopped.

"Oh my! I'm sorry Grangey! It won't happen ever again, I swear!" Guinevere immediately withdrew Granger's arm after hugging it dearly for the fear of her life. Granger only patted her head, a gesture telling her it was okay.

The LED screens lit up and they were instructed to walk towards the dark hallway with their seat-buddies.

"Hmm? This is new...stay close." Granger warned the other three.

The moment they stepped inside the dark corridor, the floor trembled. Was it an earthquake? Nonetheless, it successfully incited panic, causing most of their fellow visitors to flee.

And it didn't help that the walls have scary claws appearing here and there. Guinevere stood there frozen. People were pushing and grabbing each other's clothes so they could flee from the narrow space. When she snapped away from her trance, she was no longer seeing familiar faces.

Panic started to bud in her internal organs.

'Oh no! Where are they?'

Guinevere desperately looked around for a familiar white streaked hair.

People were squeezing their way, not minding if they pull people's hair or clothes. Then Guinevere suddenly got pushed hard to the wall where a sharp claw was, and if it wasn't bad enough, the claw was stuck from going back inside its post. It scraped her shoulder, which tore her sleeves and her blood started seeping out.

Guinevere grabbed her wounded shoulder and tried suppressing her urge to cry out in pain. It was the second time she got hurt from outside the arena. The pain outside the arena was much more painful since they were not protected by the battlefield's system.

To cause even more stress and panic, the lights one by one broke. It made the silhouette of the claws look more daunting.

She couldn't help but remember her time at the Dark Forest when she tried to find Lancelot and attempted to bring him home. The feeling of being alone in the darkness was unbearable. She felt a chill in her spine, her hands clammy.

As fear crept inside her heart, she was pulled by a pair of strong hands. She suddenly felt warmth and smelled the all too familiar scent.

"Breathe, Guine, relaxe. We're here. I'm here..." said a familiar deep voice.

Guinevere looked up and she immediately recognized that it was Granger even though her eyesight was blurry. She didn't notice that she was already crying and have struggled breathing.

"Fuck! Your shoulder! Tch. Asslot will kill me." Granger was enraged at the sight of the wound.

"I-I'm okay, Granger..." Guinevere muttered feebly.

"No, you're not. Sit down."

His voice was commanding and firm, making Guinevere nod in compliance. Guinevere sat down on the cold floor and rested her back on the claw-less wall. The tmfloor no longer trembled. Her wound stung from below her collar and became even more painful towards her left shoulder.

Granger's violin case magically appeared and then he opened it. He pulled out his first aid kit. Without a hitch, he professionally cut her sleeves before the blood dried out. It would be really painful if it did.

Guinevere couldn't help but feel embarrassed because left shoulder and left clavicular head was exposed. The three long strikes of wound actually extended up to that part of her chest. She clutched her shirt tightly before any wardrobe malfunction happen.

"Don't worry Guine, I won't peek." Guinevere could feel he was smirking behind his mask.

"W-What are you talking about! Perv!" Guinevere swore her face was as red as tomato now. Granger's eyes were twinkling at the girl's shyness, he let out a soft chuckle.

He then disinfected the wound and then applied a bit of pressure with a decent and sterile gauze pad, which made Guinevere hiss in pain.

"Bare for it, for a while Guine. It's almost done..." Granger said softly then he dressed her wounds with sterilized bandages.

Once done wrapping the wound, Granger took off his jacket and wore it on a red faced Guinevere. She was stunned! Upon zipping it up, Guinevere finally found her voice.

"I...um...thank you... Granger. You even dressed this ugly wound. I-I will bring your jacket back, as good as new! I don't know how to repay you...I..." Guinevere choked up, her words becoming fainter by the second.

Granger carefully hugged the trembling girl, successfully avoiding the freshly dressed wound.

"Shhh...No need to repay me, Guine. I will always help a friend in need. Come on, we need to find the kids and get out of here. I'm seriously going to have a talk with the manager."

Granger put back the first aid kit to his violin case and made it vanish. It was a simple trick he learned during his training of becoming a Demon Hunter.

Thankfully she didn't loose too much blood and the wound was not deep. Or else, he would wreak havoc because of this fiasco.

As the two adults walked on the now dimly lit hallway, they heard distinct voices not far from where they are. One was crying and the other, the girl, was hissing angrily. Then a sound of debris falling can be also heard.

"I will be angry if you poke me again! Stupid claws! Harith? Are you okay now? I have destroyed the claws. Shhh...don't cry or I'll cry too!"

"Nana? Harith?" Guinevere called out to the two Leonins who were hugging each other.

"Miss Violet! Grangey! Waaaah!" Harith and Nana immediately ran up to their spot.

Both Harith and Nana clung to Guinevere's leg and burried their crying face on her skirt.

"Awwe~ were you two scared too?" Guinevere patted both their heads using her right hand. She couldn't lift her left arm because of the wound.

"Yes. But I destroyed the monsters' claws because it was poking us!" Nana told her the reason why there were broken life-like claws on the ground.

"You did well!" Granger commented and led them out.

Once the four of them got out of the Horror Castle, Guinevere's stomach growled. Though embarrassing, Guinevere was glad that it lightened up the mood as they were laughing because of the unexpected sound.

"Oooh! Let's buy hotdogs and Brainfreezers!!" Nana suggested.

"What are those?" Guinevere was curious what kind of food those were.

"I promise you, Miss Violet, they are delicious! More yummy than burgers!" Harith jumped at Guinevere's left side. Granger was fast to stop Harith from touching her shoulders.

"You two, accompany Miss Violet and buy food for all of us okay? I'm gonna have a talk with the Horror Castle's manager. I'll meet you guys at the Brainfreezers stand." Granger said.

He then walked back to the horror castle with swag. The back of his black shirt had a symbol that made everyone know he was the best marksman in the entire Moniyan Empire. And that he's not one to be messed with.
