"These little things are so cute. Their parents must be so happy to see them. I want to have a baby as cute as this." Kaye mumbled on and on while tickling the little turtles who got out of their shells already.
"You can only give birth to a cute baby if I am the father." Ivan responded throwing a playful wink at her.
Kaye turned around only to find out that some people were looking at them with mischievous gaze.
Her face turned red from the embarrassment instantly. "Don't let them misunderstood us." Kaye whispered softly which was enough for Ivan to hear.
"Fine. Fine. I won't let them misunderstood us." Ivan responded but his hand wasn't doing the same. When Kaye stood up, he snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
"What are you doing?" Kaye was on alert mode since some people were still staring at them.
Ivan smiled as if he didn't hear a thing that she said. "Let's have lunch. It's already past 2 o'clock."
"But I am not hungry yet." Kaye denied since she still wanted to explore the place. In truth, she was really hungry.
"Will you come and eat with me or do you want me to carry you?" Ivan threatened knowing that Kaye would never choose the second choice.
With a sulking face, Kaye followed Ivan to the nearest restaurant. Ivan ordered for them so Kaye could take a rest first. She was busy looking at the pictures he took from their adventure.
"I like this." Kaye showed him a picture of them together which was taken underwater with the beautiful corals around them.
"I like all the pictures we got." Ivan commented while looking at her, not on the photo.
He took out his own mobile phone and moved closer to her. He slung his arms around her shoulder to pull her in slight hug. "Kaye, smile for me." He called to get her attention.
Kaye saw the camera that reflected their action. She raised her head and smiled at the lens. Just as Ivan clicked on the shutter, he turned his face and placed a kiss on his temple.
It was captured by his phone and Kaye saw that loving gaze from his eyes, too. She was really confused with his actions sometimes.
"I like this the best." Ivan said without letting her see it, but Kaye knew what he meant.
Ivan was still fiddling on his phone when their food arrived. After posting it, he placed his phone on the table so they could start eating.
Kaye realized that out of 10 dishes which Ivan chose, 8 of them were her favorites. "You still remember what I like?" Kaye asked in disbelief specially that she and Ivan was out of touch for the past years.
"How could I forget them. I used to cook these foods for you when we were young." Ivan responded while getting a braised eggplant for her.
The restaurant didn't just offer seafoods but a variety of food that everyone can enjoy.
"Thank you, Ivan." Kaye said with so much gratitude. She was really thankful of this man in front of her.
"Let's eat. Then we'll explore their bird sanctuary after." Ivan said before shoving a spoonful of rice in his mouth.
"You're the best." Kaye exclaimed before she started eating as well. Her plate was turning to a small mountain since Ivan kept placing different foods on her plate.
"I don't want this to end. I haven't explored the whole place yet." Kaye murmured when she found out that they'll have to go back tomorrow afternoon.
"I agree. Well, let's explore what we can." Ivan retorted to make her feel better. As much as possible, he wanted Kaye to enjoy their stay at the resort for this short vacation.
Kaye continued eating with Ivan until quarter past three in the afternoon. They continued their exploration towards the bird sanctuary.
It was a really nice place with the resort as the main attraction but it was more of a preserved place with so many animals being protected by the Department of Natural Environment and Resources.
Kaye and Ivan paid for their entrance fee which would be used to expand the habitat of the birds.
"This place is huge." Kaye commented while looking around the place. The screen that covered the place was hundreds of meters high, with so much space for the trees to continue growing. The area was so big that even the resort would fit.
"Well, our trip is worth it. Don't you think so?" Ivan asked her, who was busy looking around the place.
"It's beyond worth it. It's amazing!" Kaye exclaimed, excitement and surprise were evident on her voice.
"Let's go over there." Ivan held her hand as they passed through the crowd, going to a huge nesting place. There were so many large birds that were guarding their eggs.
"Look at that!" Kaye called out to Ivan when she saw a large Macaw. "It looks like a parrot but it's not. It's a Macaw."
"You learned a lot with your biology." Ivan joked at her but his hand was busy taking pictures of her.
"I want to have a pet bird. The blue bird would be nice." Kaye said giving Ivan a wink.
"We can get one once we're back in the city." Ivan agreed with her, well you can say that Ivan would agree with whatever she wanted.
"You're spoiling me so much. Let's go over there." Kaye pulled Ivan towards another area with so many peacocks.
They continued exploring the area until dusk. Ivan had taken so many pictures of them already. Kaye on the other hand looked so happy like a child on a field trip.
"I never joined any field trip before." Kaye whispered in the wind which Ivan caught with his ears.
"I'll bring you to places that you'll enjoy. Let's make up for the lost years we had." Ivan gave a gentle squeez on her hand which he had been holding for a while already.
