"No wonder I've never seen this guy. Only Miss Kaye would be able to reel this guy in and we never knew that our miss is taken!" Marie spoke her realization which made everyone nod their head in agreement.
"They're a perfect match." another woman spoke with a dreamy eyes.
Kaye turned towards them which made them scrambled on their desk to get back to work. Kaye chuckled looking at her employees with flustered and guilty faces.
"Come on guys. What are you doing? It's lunch time already. Let's eat." Kaye was hugging her teddy bear as she walked towards their dining place.
"Uhm. Miss Kaye...is...is it alright for us...to join? I mean...if it's regular day it's fine...but you have..." the youngest girl, Lianna, spoke with so much nervousness. They didn't know what kind of man the guys is, so they didn't want to disturb their time.
"What are you mumbling there? He's fine. Let's eat already." Kaye pulled Marie with her while Ivan went to her office to place the flowers.
They followed her to their dining area in silence since it was really awkward for them.
Ivan came in later and sat beside Kaye. He helped Kaye with the foods and plates. "By the way guys, this is Ivan, my childhood friend." Kaye introduced Ivan to them which earned her a few raised eyebrows.
"Not childhood sweetheart?" Lianna asked in bewilderment since the interaction earlier were like lovers who didn't see each other for years.
"That's my status for now, but I will be her sweetheart soon." Ivan spoke with a teasing tone. Marie wriggled her brows and some of the girls whistled. "Nice to meet you everyone."
"Nice to meet you miss Kaye's childhood sweetheart." Lianna teased which made Kaye flicked her forehead. "Ouch! Miss, that's the second time today." she said while rubbing her forehead.
"Stop it. He's going to get married soon. Your teasing won't work." Kaye spoke calmly but everytime she said those words, her heart would bleed.
"Who the hell is getting married? Did I propose to you already? I'm not aware." Ivan said to ease the atmosphere and that is to erase the idea of marriage from Kaye's mind.
"And you, Ivan, stop putting words on their heads. What if you'll really get married? What would they think of me? This idiot." Kaye punched his shoulder lightly but the broken pieces of her heart was cracking once again.
Ivan caught her hand and held onto it. He sat beside her after arranging all the food. Their linking hands were under the table. Kaye tried tugging it back, but he won't let it go.
"Let's eat everyone. I've got so much food today." Since her other hand was held by him, Kaye used her free hand to scoop some food and place it on his plate. "Eat now. You can take a rest in my lounge later." Ivan whispered to Ivan.
"Okay." Ivan responded with a bright smile. His trip to her office was worth it. He ate in a slow pace and would sometimes put some food on Kate's plate.
Kaye didn't touch her food since she wasn't left handed and food would just spill on the table.
"Why aren't you eating?" Ivan asked shamelessly. Everyone turned their heads to Kaye which made Kaye glared at him then to their linking hands. "Oh. Let me feed you."
Kaye could only make a face-palm at Ivan's remark. She thought he would let her go, but she was wrong.
"Open your mouth." Ivan raised a spoonful of food to her mouth.
"You're shameless." Kaye spoke before eating the food he offered.
Her employees laughed at their sweet interaction, making them less nervous in Ivan's presence.
"I fed you most of the time when we're young. Why are you being shy now?" Ivan asked while choosing another food he could feed her.
"That and this aren't the same." Kaye complained with a pout on her lips, making her cute and adorable.
"What's the difference? That time, I fed you. This time I'm feeding you. It's the same. It's still you." Ivan responded with a relax manner but Kaye was rolling her eyes at him.
"I was young but I'm a grown up now." Kaye reasoned out again before eating another spoonful of food that Ivan gave.
"Oh. But you look the same to me. You just gained some height. Stop complaining already." Ivan shoved another food on her mouth to stop her.
"You don't have to be shy miss Kaye. Your childhood sweetheart enjoys feeding you. We can all see that." Lianna said with a teasing tone again which made Kaye blush. Kaye wanted to smack her but she was too far from her reach and she was held by Ivan, too.
"Lianna, I'm reducing your bonus." Kaye threatened her young employee but Lianna just frowned.
"Young miss you can't do that. Just because you're shy and I hit the bull's eye doesn't mean you have to reduce my bonus. It ain't fair." Lianna spoke again with bravado which made Kaye chuckled.
"Whatever." then Kaye turned to Ivan "Stop holding my hand or I won't let you sleep in my lounge later."
"You don't have to use that to me. Either I'm holding you now or not, I would still sleep in your lounge." Ivan whispered on her ear.
Kaye pinched his thigh, making Ivan flinched in pain. "Why are you pinching my thigh?" Ivan asked in a loud voice, making her employees turned to look at them.
"Stop your mischief or I won't see you ever again." Kaye stood up in annoyance. She didn't want Ivan fooling around with her in front of her employees knowing that he would leave her soon.
Ivan sighed in his heart. He wanted to claim her but after what happened in their vacation, Ivan was careful with her but he would tease her time to time as well to see her reaction.
"Alright. I'll stop. Don't be angry, okay?" Ivan tugged her hand to make her sit beside him again. He was acting childish but it didn't matter to him.
'This guy loves our young miss.' That's what everybody was thinking when they saw how Ivan was acting.
'Our young miss likes him.' That's what they thought after seeing the look in her eyes.
'But why is that they don't see it?' Everybody looked at each other's eyes with meaningful glances. 'Both are dumb and dense.' That's the answer.
