"HAVE YOU BEEN HERE ALL DAY?!" Zoey shouted as she came in. Luckily for us she hadn't seen Rose, nor May's half demon form. However, May was still in Isha's lap. "AND YOUR WITH A GIRL LIKE THAT! YOU DAMN PERVERT!" She stormed forward.
As expected, Hank had tagged along behind her, more than likely having suggested coming here. Isha narrowed his eyes and moved his body between Zoey and May, pulling her into a better position for her safety. The old man gripped the handle to his cane.
"That's rather a rude thing to say. And for all you know she could be older than the two of us." Hearing Isha say this, May puffed her cheeks and pinched him. "Now why are you here. I ignored you for a reason."
"WHY AM I HERE?? OBVIOUSLY I COME OUT OF MY WAY TO APOLOGIZE AN-" Isha put his hand up, stopping her.
"Apologize for what? Something you already apologized for? Something your just going to do again? You see the thing about apologizing is that normally one should learn why they're apologizing and not do it again. Otherwise it's just lip service. Meaningless and a waste of breath."
Zoey froze a bit as Isha stated this in a flat voice. It's a good thing it was a Sunday, otherwise the club across the street would be livelier, and more people would watch.
"I suggest you leave." Mr. Ilan directed at them, staring them down. "This is the second night you've done this."
Hank and Zoey both looked a bit taken aback. Isha gave a smile towards the old man, patting May's head. Hank straightened his back and puffed his chest out, stepping towards Mr. Ilan.
"What did you say old man?!" As he got closer to Mr. Ilan, Isha set May in the seat and stood up, getting between Hank and the old man.
"First things first, only I get to call him that. Second thing, this is his building." Isha stared at the slightly taller man. Hank glared down at Isha, clenching his fist as Zoey watched. She wouldn't say anything now, as she feared Hank herself.
"You don't get to tell me what to do. Now move aside before I teach you a lesson in this old mans place." Hank growled, raising his fist threateningly. "Now choose move before I knock your sunglasses off."
"Didn't I already tell you?" Isha stepped to the side and went to kick him. Hank tried to swing, however he was actually slower than Isha anticipated. So Isha just kicked him in the side and jumped back, sending Hank crashing onto the floor a few feet away. "Only I call him old man." Isha stated again.
Hank was a panting mess on the floor, having the wind knocked out of him when he fell.
"Wh- how are you… that fast…" He managed out between pants. Zoey had her mouth covered, not saying a word.
"I'm not. You're just slow, now get out before I get serious." Isha growled back. Hank forced himself to his feet, stumbling a bit before being supported by a chair. Isha didn't think he really kicked him that hard. Maybe Hank really was just all talk. It felt like his foot could have gone right through him afterall.
"C'mon Zo… let's get… outta here..." Hank ordered to her, making her help him walk. "Let's just… forget… that freak." He spat bitterly, glaring at Isha as they walked out.
Isha sat down back down in his chair, May getting off for him, with a sigh. He stretched out a bit and chuckled to himself.
"Was that really all it would have took? Just pushing back like that. I mean I thought he'd be a better fighter than that." Isha smiled a bit nervously at the old man and May.
"Isha, it's not that he was week. You're possessed now. You are far stronger than an average human, even without being able to access most of your power yet." Isha furrowed his brow at Mr. Ilan's words, however the door opened with a jingle as a group of people came in.
"Yo dude! How did you move like that? Do the sunglasses help?" A young guy with his brown hair spiked up asked. The group that followed behind him consisted of people who watched the little scene from the club entrance. There were six all in all, four guys and two girls.
"Ya, that was like, super-fast you know? Like, are you a professional? How do you dye your hair to look that natural?" A red head in skimpy clothing asked, getting a bit too close for Isha's comfort, about to sit on him. Seeing this, May jumped onto him instead.
"Please don't crowd the young man. If you're not here to buy, then please exit before you're met with the same fate." Mr. Ilan announced to the group, his eyes narrowed.
"What? This mans here wouldn't do that to us, right my dude?" A blonde male with lip piercing's put his arm around Isha as if they were good friends. Isha cracked his knuckles in response.
"Oh don't worry, I don't discriminate. The girls will be treated as roughly as they guys." At his words the two women soon made there way out, the guys in tow.
"What a jerk-off."
"Not like we cared anyways." Two of them muttered as they left, attempting to slam the hydraulic door. Isha sighed as May stuck her tongue out at the group.
"I don't get why people are like that." Isha thought out loud, patting May.
"There will always be foolish people in the world Isha. People who only like others for looks or certain actions." Isha nodded and waved his free hand.
"I know that old man. I just wish there were less of them." Mr. Ilan laughed a bit at Isha's words, starting to wash the cups.
"Everyone is foolish at one time or another. No person can honestly say they've never acted foolish. For example, you just attacked a normal person without the thought that being possessed would have given you super strength and reflexes compared to him." Mr. Ilan chided Isha.
"But he was goi-" Mr. Ilan cut him off with a swift hit to the head from his cane.
"I can very well handle myself. Then there's the fact of you trusting us as easy as you did. That was not only foolish but naïve. Had I still been a catholic exorcist, I'd have slit your throat while sleeping." Isha was about to say something but closed his mouth, looking down.
"All I'm saying is you need to look at your actions before judging others by their own." The old man patted Isha's shoulder. "You dropped your guard to easily to us, do work on that. I was going to mention it earlier, but that was a perfect example. Anyways, it's getting late now, you should head home soon."
Isha nodded and set May down in a different chair, standing up.
"Before I go, what's the best way of controlling my power and possibly getting more?" Isha asked, staring at the old man, head tilted. Mr. Ilan thought for a bit, May staying silent in her seat.
"That would be best discussed with Rose. But as far as I can say, training and practice will help you control your power. As for gaining more? Consume the souls of demons. Soon you'll become one, and the more you consume the stronger you get." Isha nodded at Mr. Ilan's words. "Now stay safe on your way home and be sure to come here tomorrow. We'll discuss more about you working here."
"Right. I'll chat with Rose on the way home then." Isha nodded with a slight smile. "I'll also do my best to be more cautious. Now I'll see ya later." He waved goodbye as he headed out the door, May and Mr. Ilan waving back as May went back into the kitchen, or possibly up the stairs to bed herself. Isha his scarf up higher as the wind bit his nose, starting his trek home.
"So you want to get stronger huh?" Rose started, her voice coming from somewhere on his left.
"That's right, so get talking missy." Isha replied, smiling a bit in her direction.
