Chapter 12: Conquering Depression

April 21, 2020 3:35pm:

It isn't easy folks. Some people will try to tell you to get over it, but is it that easy? No, not at all.

Some people just don't understand the demons you are fighting, but the cool thing about it is Christ does. He has suffered even as we have suffered and sometimes I'd say we have suffered as He had.

Remember I told you to never give up and never surrender? This isn't your time, your destiny means you will conquer your demons with our Lord Jesus Christ. How can He help us?

We can gain empathy through reading His story. His own people received Him not, spit upon Him, smote Him, and eventually He was crucified. The most important thing to remember is not only did He suffer on the cross, but He put upon Him self the transgressions, pains, and afflictions of us His people.

He did this so that He would know how to help us. To help you. Yes, even you. The Savior loves you!!

Depression can be overwhelming but remember that you have angels on your right hand and in your left to bear you up. That is God's promise to us. No matter how hard it gets.

Another thing to remember as I have mentioned before is that every injustice we face in this life God Himself will bless us 100 fold for every single thing. And He gave us His son so that we could have an example to live by. If we are to become as our Savior then we will have to face difficult trials just as He had.

Perfection is obtainable and it's a process. We must trust the process by following God's commandments in order to receive all the blessings He has in store for us. Which ultimate blessing is perfection.

The Lord has promised us through His death and resurrection that we will obtain perfected bodies free from pain, free from hunger, and free from even depression. Beautiful, glorified bodies that we will never be ashamed of. Trust the process.

I'm grateful for you reading thus far and I hope you can find peace as you read your scriptures and through praying. Praying to know what the next step is through any hard time. The peace that you so desire.

Peace will be granted, just have faith and continue through patience.
