Chapter 21: Choose the Best

April 22, 2020 10:01pm

I want to honor President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He gave an excellent talk on this matter. Two of them in fact namely: "Good, Better, Best," and "Focus and Priorities."

He is most definitely a man called of God. I encourage you to watch those talks on YouTube after this short article I'm about to write for you. Feel free to drop your thoughts in the comments!

Anyway, we must forgo that which is good to choose the better things in life and ultimately choosing the best options. You can see the works of His hands by those that follow Him and are called to serve.

Men and women such as President Oaks. Some choices aren't so obvious it may seem at times, but always remember to pray for clarity. He will answer.

I promise you that you will feel that burning in your bossom and you will know that the choice you make is even the best choice. For example: I use to play a lot of video games (not that video games are evil, not at all) but I was addicted to escaping reality.

One day, yes, I was playing World of Warcraft and thought to myself..."Wow, (punny a?) no but seriously. Dang!

I thought look at how many hours I spent playing this when I could have been learning how to sing or something. Instead of leveling this fake identity I could have been leveling my own strength, cooking, or even prayer level. Yes I fit Runescape in there as well, haha.

Anyway, I was a big nerd and am I still a big nerd? Yes, but I'd say in a better way. I've turned to others.

Just as the Savior was on the cross, He still turned to others while He suffered. Remember what He told the thief? He was teaching His gospel still as He hung there in agony.

He bled and died a sacrifice for sin. So if this innocent man worked His whole life in the service of our Heavenly Father.. How much more do we need to labor, even us all being debtors?

We have a lot of work to do. If you need to talk just add me to Facebook. Under Brad Copeland. Just let me know who you are and that you are one of my readers.

I'm not a licensed therapist but I have true life experience worth more than a piece of paper in my opinion. But if you ever need me, I'll try to respond to you in an orderly fashion.

Even though I'm an ENFP personality type I still somewhat like to be organized haha. I love you guys. Keep choosing the best choices out there!

You are going to make it!
