Chapter 23: What Would the Lord Have Me Do?

April 23, 2020 11:45am:

Is there somewhere the Lord has been trying to lead you towards? Maybe a prompting to help someone? Or maybe even a career change?

It is important to have a plan in place for your life, yes, but sometimes the Lord will call us else where. Remember that saying? "When we make plans the Lord laughs."

Just like our mortal parents when we were younger. Do you ever remember them laughing before them telling you no? It's because most parents, I'd hope, would want the best for you.

We must respect our elders. They have valid experiences that we don't have. Never under estimate your elders.

It works hand-in-hand, but ultimately we should not only learn from other people's mistakes. Successful people learn from other's successes.

Hopefully that makes sense. It should. Are you following along?

Awesome! Remember, I believe in you. Anyway, back on track. What would the Lord have you do? Love one another as Jesus loves you.

I have mentioned this in a book entry before, but loving yourself should also be a commandment. Stop beating yourself up. You made a mistake, let it change you.

Let it transform you into that beautiful butterfly. That beautiful person you are meant to be. Again, change isn't cheap brothers and sisters.

Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of Heaven and we are making daily sacrifices with our choices each moment of our day. Forgo the good and better for the best things in life.

Family, friends, the things that matter most often revolve around the people we care about. Give your parents a hug, say I love you more. As Thomas S. Monson would say.

Lastly, remember..

"Never allow a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved."

We all want and desire love. So let love start with you. :)
