Chapter 38: Preparing for the Lord's Second Coming

One of the talks of the Day: Preparation for the Second Coming -President Dallin H. Oaks

This is the time for God's people to prepare to meet God. This is the time to perform our labors. What are you doing to prepare?

I know the Lord's promise of coming back will be fulfilled. I know it for I have seen Him, He had carried me through my car wreck last year. He saved me from a fully inflamed vehicle and I am forever indebted to Him.

We are so blessed to be alive during a time such as today. Even though this Covid-19 ordeal is going on, we shall prevail! You have my word.

It's important to follow the Lord's counsel through these times of trial. Look up President Russell M. Nelson. He is our true and living Prophet and He converses with the Lord on a daily basis.

We have that same power and honor as we obey. I promise you, you will see the Savior. He is, again, anxiously preparing us.

It will be a glorious day. The Savior is awesome. Great sense of humor, understanding, and protective.

I was molested when I was younger and saw my twin sister r**** when I was only 4 years old. I know that word can trigger some people, so I censored it. Anyway, I don't blame God.

I don't blame the person that did it, I blame pornography. As hard as it is to forgive, I forgive my half brother. This is not the sense of humor I was trying to mention.

God does not find this humorous or that it had to happen. My brother exercised his agency and he will have to answer for it. How he got caught is that my sister ended up having a seizure from the trauma of it all.

Initially, I blamed myself when I was 4 years old. For not being able to protect her. Even my grandmother told me I should be ashamed of myself.

I didn't understand it. I don't know when I realized it wasn't my fault, but I know that Christ is the one that made it right. I'm not to blame.

If you are a victim of such a thing, you are not to blame. It is not your fault. The Lord understands.

Honestly, it has made me a stronger person. Why? Because I chose to rise above it and to learn from that tribulation.

God didn't allow it. We will have justice. You will have justice.

At the same time we must forgive and forget. As hard as that may sound. You must recover from your losses and press forward with faith in Jesus Christ.

I believe in you, the Lord believes in you, and you should believe in yourself. All will be made right. I apologize for going on this rabbit trail.

About the second coming, He will give us justice at His coming as we are obedient. You will vanquish your foes. It's just in His timing.

Love is required, we don't shed blood for the sake of violence. We shed blood for the sake of our defense.
