On a sunny day in the Kabuki district, Katsura was currently in front of the Odd Jobs home with a bag of goodies in his hand.

*ding dong*

Katsura pressed the doorbell and said, "Hello! It's Katsura."

A few seconds go by, with no reply.

Katsura clicked his tongue and said, "Nobody home? And time is of the essence."

*fwish*

The sliding door opened, as Sadaharu used his paws to pry it open, coming face to face with Katsura.

Katsura, "..."

Sadaharu, "..."

The two stared at each other, with Katsura not knowing what to do.

"Ex-Excuse me. Is Hiroto and Gintoki home?" Katsura asked Sadaharu. Sadaharu continued to stare at him as Katsura continued, "Well, I brought some sweets and french fries as a token of…"

Sadaharu continued to stare at Katsura, as he still wasn't sure what to make of the situation. "... I'll just leave them here then. Enjoy."

*chomp*

Sadaharu bit down onto Katsura's head.

"Uohh." Katsura echoed, with his head inside Sadaharu's mouth.

Coming out from behind Sadaharu, Hiroto who looked as though he just woke up yawned and said, "Zura? What are you doing here?"

Katsura's voice echoed back, "It's not Zura. It's Katsura."

Hiroto leaned on the doorframe and asked, "So? What are you here for? Gonna apologize for last time?"

Katsura pried himself out of Sadaharu's mouth and said, "I brought some sweets and french fries as a token of peace." Katsura said, handing Hiroto the bag.

Hiroto took it and said, "What? You think that just this is enough to make me forget about the trouble you caused for us?"

*crunch* Hiroto started to eat the french fries.

"Just so you know, *crunch* I won't be that easily, *crunch* bought," Hiroto said. "Man, what are these? They're so good."

"Is Gintoki here?" Katsura asked.

Hiroto walked back inside and said, "Nope. They said they were leaving for a job. They told me I should come with them, but I was too hungover to do anything."

Hiroto plopped on the couch as Katsura sat opposite of him. "So, I'm guessing that you didn't come here just to bring me and Gin and snacks?"

Katsura laughed and said, "Haha, whatever do you mean? I am only here to express my goodwill towards you."

"Hmm?" Hiroto eyed Katsura with a suspicious glance.

Katsura said, "No need to be suspicious of me! It's not like we're currently investigating a large Amanto crime syndicate that's been selling drugs here on Earth."

"Huh? Drugs?" Hiroto said.

Katsura then spoke up, as though he was reluctant to. "Well, since you're so interested in it, I'll tell you."

Hiroto waved his hands and said, "Wait, I didn't say that I wa-"

"The Harusame space pirates." Katsura spoke anyway, saying, "They're the largest organized crime syndicate in the Milky Way. Their main source of income is from the sale of illegal drugs. The very tips of their tentacle have reached Earth."

Katsura crossed his arms and continued on, "We can't rely on the government police. They're totally corrupted by the Amanto. We hoped we could do something on our own."

Katsura looked at Hiroto and said, "Well, since you know more of this area then I do, have you heard of anything lately? Any disturbing rumors?"

*crunch*

Hiroto at the last of the french fries and said, "Nope. I don't try to stick my nose into those sorts of things. It always ends up getting too messy."

Katsura nodded and said, "I can respect that side of you."

*beep beep*

"Hm?" Hiroto turned to the phone on the office table and answered it, "Hello?"

"Ah, Hiro." Shinpachi's voice came from the other side. "We got our next job, we have to find a government official's daughter who's probably out clubbing. We're going to a club that she frequents quite often, can you meet us here?"

"Ehhh, fine," Hiroto said. "I'll meet you guys there, make sure you don't accept anything from strangers now." Hiroto then hung up the phone and turned to Katsura.

"Well, it looks like we'll have to cut our meeting short. I've got a job to do." Hiroto said, putting his empty scabbard on his hip.

Katsura looked at Hiroto's empty scabbard and said, "You still won't use a sword?"

Hiroto walked to the front entrance, saying, "I just sold off my sword, the scabbard was worthless, so no use in selling it."

Katsura shook his head, saying, "I'll come with you then since I want to talk with Gintoki as well."

"Suit yourself," Hiroto said as the two left the Odd Jobs home, with Sadaharu fast asleep under a table.

Walking towards their destination, it was starting to get darker, as an orange hue from the sun setting lit up the town.

Katsura turned to Hiroto and asked, "Hiroto, after the war ended, why do you stick around with Gintoki?"

"Hm? What do you mean." Hiroto said casually.

Katsura continued, "You're our senior and looked after us back before any of this happened. You could've done anything else, or even join Takasugi on his twisted path. Just so you know, he's still hellbent on getting you over to his side."

Hiroto then said, "Is this your attempt at trying to get me to join your group? Sheesh, you guys never stopped pestering me. Not then, and not now."

Hiroto looked at the sky and said, "I don't want anything to do with all of that. We all have our lives to live. I just like to go with the flow, drifting along in the wind and picking up other stragglers left behind."

Katsura looked unsatisfied and said, "How is that fulfilling?"

"Hahaha, not everything in life has to be fulfilling. Just being able to eat, and sleep would be enough for me." Hiroto laughed, "Although all of you changed from back then, in my eyes, you're still the same kids who wouldn't leave me alone."

"We're not kids anymore," Katsura said.

"Yeah yeah, whatever you say, Zura," Hiroto said.

"It's not Zura. It's Katsura!" Katsura shouted.

*crash*

"Arrgghh!!"

A sound of a window crashing and Gin's familiar voice sounded out from an alleyway beside the club Hiroto was supposed to meet Gin, Kagura and Shinpachi in.

*boom*

Hiroto and Katsura ran towards the alley to see Gin and a plump girl with tan skin with blonde hair laying on a pile of trash that saved their fall.

Katsura turned to Hiroto and said, "Was this the club you were supposed to meet them at?"

"Yeah, what's wrong?" Hiroto said as he lifted Gin up, with Katsura taking care of the girl.

"This is one of the clubs that the Harusame pirates use to sell their drugs," Katsura said, picking the girl up with strain.

"Dammit, where's Kagura and Shinpachi?" Hiroto said, looking around.

"They most likely have been taken in by the pirates." Katsura then quickly added, "There's no use for you going inside there now, they most likely already moved her. I can show you later, but first, let's take care of Gintoki."

Hiroto nodded, as he followed Katsura, taking him to one of his bases.
