First-kiss

Days had been going normal as usual, Kise was going school like every other day, with him practicing sword fighting on a regular basis as much as possible and the usual weird eye contacts with Akane in class. Kise had again long forgotten the key that was returned to him but this time he was at least wearing it as a locket.

It was Sunday and with no school, Raku had invited him to hangout. Kise rejected his proposal as he had recently got a modeling gig for a new clothing brand and had to head out for a photo shoot.

"Thanks for your hard work!" Kise bowed to everyone as the photoshoot was over. 'Now what do I do?' he thought to himself.

The job ended sooner than he had expected and now he the whole day free. "Maybe I should join Rakucchi and have Ryuu spar with me. I really want to test my strength now that I have got the basics down."

Kise headed out of the studio making his way to Raku's place. He walked around with a smile on his face, as people walking past him gave him different types of looks. Especially women, some would only stare at him but some were daring enough to even throw a wink and make gestures at him. Raku noticed a couple of young girls taking his picture secretly but he didn't bother since his agent had asked him to do so. The more free publicity he got the better it was for his career after all.

As he was looking around at all the different stores, he recognized a familiar person walking inside of a shop.

"Onodera Sweet Shop, huh, I guess it's time I had a talk with that brat. It's been bugging me that she still doesn't remember me."

Entering the shop, he saw a woman grumbling angrily on her phone as she angrily hung up. Her anger quickly shifted towards Kise who was just smirking at her.

"What's a brat like you doing here?" She said in an annoyed tone, "Go suck on a lollipop."

Onodera came over to see what the ruckus her mom was causing as she recognized Kise. She was about to stop her mother but Kise beat her to it.

"Nanako-san, it seems you're still grumpy as usual." Kise said coming closer, "But since you still look so beautiful, I won't mind it."

Nanako was annoyed with how the brat was casually talking with her, but as he came closer, she noticed the blonde hair and golden eyes as she figured out who the brat really was. She grabbed his ears and pulling it she said, "It seems you're still cheeky as ever."

"Ow! Ow!! Nanako-san you're going to rip my ear off." Kise whined.

Seeing their interaction between the two, Onodera who was frozen in place became more surprised.

"Sigh! I heard about it. Are you doing okay?" Nanako asked finally letting Kise go.

"Yes, though it was hard at first, I managed to pull through as I figured mom would want me to be happy," Kise said.

Nanako nodded with a gentle smile, "So how did you find this place and why didn't you come sooner if you knew about it?"

"Oh! I saw Kosakicchi, enter the shop and figured it was your shop from the name." Kise answered, "We're also classmates now, so I quickly recognized her."

"How come you never told me about him?" Nanako questioned Onodera who was still confused as to why Kise was calling her so intimately using her first name.

"Because I didn't know." Onodera said shaking her head, "I am sorry, but do we know each other?"

"How can you forget about me?" Kise said grabbing Onodera's hand, "Did you forget about our promise? I am your fiance-"

Onodera looked as if she would faint any second as Kise went closer towards her before Nanako smacked him in his head, "Don't bother her, you brat. You still have to pass my test, if you want to marry her."

"Mom!!"

"I am just kidding!" Kise said rubbing the back of his head, "But I am still sad that you forgot about me Koasakicchi. After you stole my first kiss, that's too shameless of you."

"Fi-First ki-kiss!" Onodera mumbled trying to get herself together, "You're joking again right, Ryota-kun?"

Expecting Kise to agree to the fact that it was a joke Onodera looked at him only for Nanako to ruin her hope, "You still remember that!"

"Of course, I do. Sleeping beauty, wasn't it?"

"I can't stop laughing now that I think about it," Nanako said as she laughed some more holding her stomach.

"Just call me Kise." Kise said ignoring the current Nanako who was on the point of tears, "I guess you still don't remember, but we used to go to the same elementary school."

"I am sorry, I still can't properly remember," Onodera said apologizing to him.

"No worries, after all, it was only for a short while as I soon moved back to the US." Kise said as he extended his hand, "But we used to be really close friends, especially since Nanako-san and my mom were friends as well, so I hope we can be the same again."

Seeing his honest expression Onodera nodded as she shook his hands, seeing him up close, Onodera had to admit that Kise was quite good-looking. A small blush formed on her cheeks as she asked, "Di-did we really ki-kiss?"

"Yes." Kise nodded seriously, "I don't know if you remember it or not, but we had a play in school, where you played the sleeping beauty and I was the prince. Well, I was supposed to just kiss you on your forehead but being nervous I ended up actually kissing you."

"I still remember Kosaki being so shocked, that she stayed frozen the whole day," Nanako added as she gathered herself.

Onodera was lost in her thoughts as Kise began poking her cheeks, "Kosakicchi, you there? You don't have to be so embarrassed you know, we were just kids after all."

Onodera snap out of her thoughts as she nodded like a robot, "I apologize, Ryo-"

"Kise." Kise corrected her.

"- Ki-Kise-kun, but I have some work to do."

"Oh sure," Kise nodded, "Now that you know we're friends, don't ignore me in school."

Onodera nodded as with stiff movements she rushed back in the kitchen.

"It must be good to be so young." Nanako shook her head.

"Nanako-san, you look young enough to be my sister. If we were to head out together, people might confuse us as a couple, you know." Kise said in a charming tone

"Now I remember why I liked you!" Nanako laughed patting his shoulders, "So what have you been doing lately?"

"Well, I am still adjusting to this city. Oh and I just got back from a photoshoot, modeling for a small clothing brand." Kise said, "If things go as my agent has planned, I might get better gigs after this."

"It's good that you could at least put your good looks to use. Wait here," Nanako nodded as she went over the counter and returned with a bag, "Take this with you. It's my treat today but you'll have to pay the next time you come over. Don't reject me-I've filled the bag with your favorite sweets."

Kise nodded at her words which sounded more like a threat than a good-will. "Well, I'll be leaving now but I'll come back later. I still have to meet little-Haru, after all."

"Come back any time you want." Nanako smiled, "Haru is out with her friends, so why don't you come over for dinner sometime.

"I'll be glad." Kise nodded, "See ya!"

"Well at least, he is the same as ever." Nanako chuckled as she shook her head, "You really did give birth to a good son."
