"So only sounds affect them, huh."
"Shido-sensei there's more, those people are planning to move out and get on the school bus to get out of here." A boy reported hurriedly looking ragged and with bleeding legs.
"No they won't." Shido said pushing his glasses up, "Let's go and make sure to not make any noise."
The students followed him out of the classroom as they carefully checked their surroundings. The students following Shido moved swiftly and stopped when they notice Marikawa's group.
Shido grabbed the boy who told him the information, "You did a good job collecting the intel, but you're bitten aren't you?" Shido smirked pushing the boy further, "Would you help us one last time, after all, you're meant to die anyway."
The student wanted to escape from his grasp but looking at his classmates and the teacher himself, he couldn't deny them, after all, he was indeed bitten. "Please help us, Isobe-kun."
"Yes, Sensei."
"Good, your contribution wouldn't be forgotten, Isobe-kun." Shido said patting his back as he told him the details of his plan.
The boy nodded and like he was told he rushed towards Marikawa's group screaming and shouting as the zombies began following him. Saeko frowning knocked the guy out throwing him a bit back but they were completely surrounded now.
"What should we do now?" The fat one asked
"Do you guys hear that?" Marikawa said as all of them gathered their attention towards the gate as a boy walked in playing songs on the bloodied phone he had on his hand.
Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too
I'm on the highway to hell
On the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
"Is he insane?"
"Ryota/kun?" Both Saeko and Marikawa spoke seeing the blond walk-in dancing.
"Ah, here we go again." Ryota stretched waving his sword around, he was pretty much covered in blood at this point, after all, the carnage outside the school was a little difficult to get through. With a smirk, Ryota threw the phone he found in between the zombie hoard coming at him completely moving away from Marikawa's group.
Ryota rushed in the hoard with his sword, slicing the confused zombies head like butter clearing the way. The song still played intently as the zombies who reacted to nothing but the sound ignored Ryota who was moving quite quickly dropping zombies left and right. Just with his skill, he was good enough to deal with the zombies but his Mystic eyes made it even easier as he didn't even have to put too much strength into it.
Dancing to the beat of the rhythm, slicing and kicking left and right, he was done killing all the zombies hoarding in that area as the song ended right as he sliced the last zombies head.
"That was quite nasty," Ryota complained shaking the blood off of his sword as he looked at the group looking at him with a shocked expression. "What never seen a good looking guy before?"
"I have never seen a monster like you before." The fat guy said, "Who are you?"
"I am Arima Ryota, nice to meet all of you." Ryota said with a friendly expression as he turned towards Saeko and Marikawa, "You guys aren't even going to say 'hi'? or I am glad you're safe?"
"You never told me you knew how to use swords and where did you get that?" Marikawa questioned,
"Oh it's mine, quite the beauty isn't she?" Ryota said passing the black blade from one hand to another, "It was a gift but quite a handy one."
Marikawa not sure where he was keeping the sword all this time nodded for now as she would surely ask him later.
"Guess the kiss did work, huh?" Saeko chuckled, "Didn't think we'll be having that date so soon. Let me introduce you to our current group."
"Miyamoto Rei"
"Takagi Saya"
"Hirano Kōta"
"Takashi Komuro"
Ryota nodded as he saw the other groups of people behind them. 'Oh they were supposed to die, weren't they? Guess I jumped in a bit sooner but why did that kid chase after them, as if he was trying to get the zombies towards them.'
"Oh, these are-"
"No need." Ryota said cutting of Takashi, "You all look strong but they-- well I'd rather not say that for now. Let's leave."
Takashi didn't say anything much and just nodded while the other group looked a bit annoyed. "How's the situation outside?"
"I've dealt with almost all of them for now, but I won't know if these zombies from the inside started gathering out."
Though they wanted to question how he did it, they had left it for now as escaping was what really mattered.
They carefully walked out of the door as they looked at the quiet school ground with dead bodies lying all over the spot from what they noticed the zombies head were smashed with rocks and only a few were decapitated. Their curiosity increased more but they still swallowed it back for now.
"So you're calling me them zombies?" Saya asked as she pushed her glasses up,
"Yeah, haven't you watch the movies. The dead wake up and bite each other turning others to zombies." Ryota said, "What were you calling them?"
"Of course, I have I am a genius." Saya said in an arrogant tone, "We've been referring them as just 'Them'"
"Smart!" Ryota commented nodding weirdly immediately forming a dislike to the arrogant girl. The girl wanted to continue but Takashi stopped her.
"I never knew you had such good swordsmanship, Ryota-kun," Saeko asked walking beside him.
"Well it isn't really that good for now at least, it's just a new style I've created." Ryota said bragging a little, "It's like a form of mix martial arts."
"Your movement was unpredictable, I'll give you that." Saeko nodded as she was about to ask something Ryota beat her to it,
"There are some questions I can't answer so it's better if you don't at least not now."
Saeko nodded, "As a man, it's okay to have some things to yourself."
"Get in quick! We don't have a whole day." Marikawa said pouting as she pulled Ryota into the bus.
"Wait for us too!!"
