This chapter is a bit short, mostly cause I'm experimenting with a new style of writing. There is still some story though most of it is fluff. Characters talking and such. If the new style is good I may rewrite A Realm Beyond: Spiro in it. I wish I wasn't having to change like this but I noticed some very frustrating deficiencies in mine. The most glaring of which was that it read like a screenplay and was sudden and jarring after a character spoke. Mostly because I would have the character talk then say what they are thinking or have them do a complicated task while they are talking. If its thinking that should be its own part. And if they are doing a task then that should be stated before they talk. Switching styles like this is annoying but I want the story to read more like a professional book. Especially Spiro since that is my final shot at making writing into a career.

Arriving on the other side of the gate.
Harriet looks around and immediately notices, the very changed military base. With tanks driving around, Power armors sparring, and Faunus mingling with the soldiers of earth.
"Luna!" Harriet shouts.
In response Luna appears nearly instantly wrapping her arms around Harriet. The blonde much more excited than usual.
"So, how was the talk? Any luck?" Luna asks
Harriet sighs. "Unfortunately no, momma Kyra panicked and left rather quickly."
'She's disappointed.' Harriet thinks, looking at her girlfriend's pout.
Luna suddenly squints at Harriet, and suddenly asks. "At least you tried your best right?"
Harriet looking her girlfriend right in the eyes blushing for a second.
"Of course I did," Harriet responds.
Luna hums before suddenly smiling. "I believe you."
Harriet smiles back. "I will have you know, I will never knowingly lie to you."
The two look into each other's eyes seemingly lost. Suddenly they are interrupted by a cough.
Harriet is first to respond, although sheepishly "ah, sorry."
The man in a United States uniform gives the pair a once over. "Although I have nothing against you, the Military in the United States has a don't ask don't tell policy for a reason girls."
"Duly noted sir," Luna responds.
The man nods before walking.
"Do you maybe wanna go the the airfield?" Luna asks
Harriet nods and grabs Luna's hand letting the blonde girl drag her to the newly paved airfield.
"Luna! Harriet!" A girl yells.
Luna and Harriet recognize Kora's voice.
"Up here!" Kora shouts.
"Why are you on the roof?" Harriet asks
Kora current on top of the hangar ceiling looks back down at Harriet.
"Nia asked me how many people it would take to change a light bulb. Of course, my response was just one... I've been up here since." Kora says
Luna and Harriet look at each other speechless and dumbfounded.
"Kora... aren't you a pilot?" Harriet asks
Kora suddenly falls to the ground a few meters below her.
Getting up she stares at Luna and Harriet, "not a word of this to anyone capiche?"
The couple just end up laughing in response.
