CHAPTER ONE

"Hueeehhhhh!"

I woke up with a huge breath of fresh air. I looked around and saw I was in a small apartment on a couch. Well I say I'm on the couch, but it's more like I'm on the arm rest because I was hanging off the couch by a few feet on each side. The apartment was very average. On the side of the room to the left of the door was a counter with a small kitchen with a fridge, oven, sink, and a microwave. A few feet away from the counter was the couch I'm on. In front of the couch was a small TV on a small stand. Behind the TV is a wide window. I could see a seven eleven across the street. Off to my right was three doors. I went and opened all of them. The one on the left was just a small cupboard with pillows and blankets, and a small safe in it. On the right was a small bathroom with a bath and a quarts sink counter. The door in front had a queen sized bed with a TV in front of it. Although it's a queen size bed, it was very long. I suppose it'All the lights in the apartment were off, but there was plenty of light coming through the window.

[CONGRATULATIONS HOST FOR BONDING TO THE SYSTEM]

[THERE IS A MESSAGE FROM "JASON"]

[WOULD YOU LIKE TO READ IT?]

[~YES~/~YES~]

At first I was surprised by the sudden sound and words forming in front of me. I looked at it closely and saw silver letters that seemed to shimmer slightly. The moment I stopped concentrating on the words they seemed to shimmer away leaving the clear shapes of the words, allowing me to see past them. I selected the left yes, wondering why there where only yes options.

[Hey, Cupid! I decided to leave you a small last message in your system. Thanks for the name by the way! All my friends seem to like it. Anyway, I should explain the parts of your system. The first part is the "status" option. It includes your name, age, race, hero class, health, stamina, regeneration, strength, agility, durability, intelligence, and your system points. Next part is the "store" option. In it you can purchase items, weapons, abilities, bloodlines, etcetera from fiction in your previous world. You can buy all these things with system points, or SP. You can get this SP from two ways. First way is to exchange real money for SP. The system can convert any currency, and the exchange rate it 100 USD is equal to 1 SP. The second way is the next part of your system, the "quest" function. This can be various things from working out to killing beasts. Everything you come across has a certain amount of SP you get from killing it based off its strength. You can get half the amount for killing a creature by just defeating it, but every time you defeat it, it gives you half the amount from the time before. Now the final component of the system is the "inventory" function. This allows you to store and bring out anything that isn't bigger than your body. This is also where you will get any rewards you get from the system. It is also where your other four wishes currently are. Now, you should probably go receive your gifts. Oh, by the way, I left you some identification in the safe. You'll probably need it. Well, I suppose this is a farewell. You may not die for a long wile after all. I could see you before then, but that won't be anytime soon. I hope you die painlessly. Goodbye.]

[END OF MESSAGE]

After I read the message, I try to somehow open my status. After thinking 'status' it opened. I then thought 'close' and it closed. Pretty obvious stuff to start off with. Then I tried thinking of different words to try and they all worked. It seems that the system manly just interoperates the emphasis behind the words to take them as commands. I then said the words out loud and that also worked. Just needed to be sure. Ok, this time I didn't close the status screen and really took a look at it.

[STATUS:]

[Name: Cupid Styll]

[Age: 24]

[Race: Human (CHANGEABLE)]

[Hero Class: N/A]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Health: 100 (AH: 10)]
[Stamina: 80 (AH:10)]
[Regeneration: 1 every second (AH: 0.1)]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

[Strength: 100 (AH: 10)]

[Agility: 100 (AH: 10)]

[Durability: 150 (AH: 8)]

[Intelligence: 18 (AH: 15)]

[(AH= AVERAGE HUMAN)]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SP: 0
It seemed I had very increased stats compared to the average Joe. But why isn't my regen stupidly heigh from my wish? Oh right, I need to go receive it from my Inventory! That also explains why my intelligence is only a little higher than average. I suppose I should go get wishes two through five now then. I then thought 'inventory' and large rows of square boxes in a ten by ten grid appeared in front of me. There was also a scrolling bar off to the right. I imagined it moving down and the boxes started going up being replaced by a new set of ten by ten. I scrolled back up and saw that the first box had some sort of package icon on it. I concentrated on it and it expanded.
[BEGINNERS PACKAGE]
[Second Wish]
[Third Wish]
[Fourth Wish]
[Fifth Wish]
[SP x1,000]
[Random Bloodline x1]
[OPEN:]
[YES/NO]
I was expecting everything up till the last two. I mean, 1,000 SP is equivalent to 100,00$! Thats a whole lot of money! And I just got it in the beginning of my adventure. Then I saw that random bloodline. That could be extremely beneficial depending on my luck! I could get Uchiha, Hyuga, Saiyan, Kryptonian, god, demon, angel, Lots! I didn't even include the various races from one punch man! Although, I wouldn't want most of them. Maybe the lizard people, but not fully. Don't want to be stuck as a giant 100 foot lizard. Anyway, no need to worry about it until I get there, so I selected yes.
[Opening BEGINNERS PACKAGE]
Then the screen zoomed back out and I saw the boxes again. I saw that the package icon disappear and in its place appeared a drop of blood. Or I would have seen that if I could pay attention to that right now. At the moment, there where a few changes in my body taking place that where more important at the moment. The first thing I noticed was a kind of pleasant burning sensation going throughout my body, starting from my abdomen, then to my head, then my feet. The next thing I noticed was I started remembering thing that I shouldn't remember easily. I glanced over to the Seven Eleven across the street and all of a sudden remembered all 23 times I went to one back on my world. As I looked at the TV I remembered a video I watched in 7th grade about how TVs are made and how they work. At the moment, I would bet a thousand bucks I could take apart and reassemble that TV to be the exact same but play at half the speed in less than 10 minutes. I was broken by that train of thought by my breath slowing. All of a sudden, it stopped. I wasn't breathing! I started to get freaked out but remembered part of wish five when I said I don't want to have to breath. Then I started to stop feeling all the aches from me laying down on a tiny couch I couldn't even try to fit on. I could still feel everything like normal, but I didn't feel any pain that normally comes from, well, having a human body. The last thing that happens is some sort of hard, silver light appears around my body. Then some information on how to manipulate the light, summon it out from my body, etcetera. Then, of corse, there was no way to forget this with my new intelligence. After all this, my body started to get used to all these new sensations in my body. I decide that I should probably practice using my shields later, but for now I can move them fairly fast with precision. Until then, I should get the random bloodline. As I slightly concentrate on the screen it fades back as if it was always there. I focus on the random bloodline and it zooms in to show a lottery spin the wheel but the words are changing extremely rapidly. I see a few I recognize like Atlantan or Asgardian, but they move past too quickly to fully read them. Bellow the wheel was a button labeled "[SPIN]". I decide to press it and the wheel starts spinning so fast it just looks like a blur of colors. After half a minute I can finally separate the different sections. After another minute I can see the words again. They seem to be slowly stoping changing. After thirty more seconds the words stop changing and now I just need to wait on the wheel to stop. It finally stops and the wheel disappears entirely other than the segment it landed on. The segment goes closer to the screen until I can make out the word.
