13 To Hunt

Placing the barrier down she distracted them by flying into the air sitting on her staff, while the little version of Helix ran away to find Harry.

The ogres has smelled a delicious scent in the air that's why they came out to hunt. To be more precise the smell of a human was enticing them to prepare for a feast.

Angelica's scent was more than enough to make them drool. It was her carelessness that got her into this problem, she might as well solve this with minimal use of magic. Flying was already an advantage but she couldn't possibly leave the wolves so stalling was her solution. She still had another plan in mind.

"Would you look here! A witch! And I must say a fine one as well!!" A menacing voice came from one of the ogre's.

"My brother! It seem we've found a great one as well! She also smells delicious and..." he smelled the air around him, "she smells like something I would love to eat, limb by limb!" Another said as he gave a wicked smile.

Angelica was already feeling the hebe jebes! Can you not talk about serving me in a silver plate! It's kinda disturbing!

She almost gagged, when she smelled something in the air. She almost forgot that ogres had a foul stench. She continued cursing at them and for polluting the air.

"My! My! What have we here! A group of ogres? Might you gentlemen let me pass tonight? Otherwise. We. Might. Need. To. Talk. It. Out!!" She said word by word to them. She was trying to be polite but her voice came out a bit stiff due to the air.

Take a shower!! I'll die if I breath in air like this!

Soon she heard the laughter from them. She could already tell it was ridiculing laughter towards her.

If there was one thing she hated the most, it was not being taken seriously. Many people around her always got the impression of her being a useless beauty. Even if she didn't want to be pissed off by such remarks she can't help it and when she gets

even a demon can't stop her fury!

"Miss witch! Looking for a way to hitch? Say witch, wanna play some games with us? Maybe you'll be able to leave in one piece!" A ogre said. Let just say he the third person who spoke in the group.

Angelica smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes. Although she was mad, she might as well entertain them for time.

'Helix please find Harry as soon as possible!!' She pleaded in her mind. Right now the stench was driving her crazy! She almost left impulsively.

"Sure I'll play! I hope you can keep your promise as I will keep mine!" She said in a suppressed voice.

The ogres eyes lit up and smirked at her. She had already seen the malicious thoughts. Oh boy! It gonna be awhile!

Helix was aimlessly running around. He had changed his form back to his original self and was hurrying to find his brother. And finally he caught of whiff of his scent.

He had ran in the direction of his brother's scent.

They were both twins but they had different magic, he specialized in wind magic and transformation while his brother was good at water and ice magic. They were a beast species found in the Lone Canyon.

But they were saved by Angelica before they were sold off to a beast collector. It had been 16 years since that and they both swore to protect her just like she did for them. In fact Angelica told them to stop following her. She had told them she was a dangerous person and that she couldn't promise to protect them.

But she once again protected them over and over again even though she was saying she can't.

Helix shook off his memories and continued his search.

And finally he found his brother, but the situation wasn't exactly great. His brother was currently defending himself from another ogre.

But the next scene stunned him.

Slash! The ogre had picked up his brother and threw him into the tree. He could even hear the whimper of pain from his brother.

Helix was enraged by the scene and he didn't hesitate to use his magic to push back the ogre before checking his brother. The ogre slammed into a tree due to the force.

Growling he nudged Harry using his nose, but all he got was the soft wimpier of pain from him. Rage and madness filled him.

Helix face the ogre who was 3 times bigger than him and growled. It has been a long time since he had been mad. And this seen reminded him of something in the past.

Something that haunted the both of them before they met Angelica.

Being thrown around and hurt since young left a scar on both wolves. Especially after seeing his younger brother being thrown around.

His dark grey eyes glinted and before the ogre knew it he was bit him on the hand. The scream the ogre was heard and it was quite ear pricking. Let go of the hand he circled the ogre, while the ogre grabbed his weapon on the side of his waist, it was a stone hammer. It's size was bigger and stronger than the hammer Angelica used to make her weapons.

And just like that the battle of the two of them started. The ogre wave his hammer towards him and he jump behind so it missed him, but what caught him off guard was the air pressure released the powerful swing and instantly he was pushed into a tree slamming against. He felt pain but he didn't take his eyes off his prey. Recovering quickly he ran full speed towards the ogre. The lateral had already prepared to swing again but this time He use his magic to move the hammer away. The hammer was pushed to the side and he bit down of the ogres shoulder.

The ogre wailed and tired his best to push him off in which he did and threw Helix far away. Helix who was in air managed to land on the ground without to much damage. Growling again he saw the ogre ready to back off but was hesitating and finally he made another move and bit down of the ogre's leg. The ogre screamed from the pain and shook him off his leg and decided to flee.

That ended the battle, but he felt that right now wasn't safe for the both of them.

Helix made his way back to the hurt Harry. He gently nudged his brother and finally carried him onto of his back. He used his huge form and carried him back to Angelica, hoping nothing bad had happened to his master.
