39 Witch Blood

"Beautiful isn't it. Happens every night here." She said to the two men who were admiring the view.

She sat down on the chair and they sat opposite to her. It was a quite and pleasant atmosphere unlike what happened before in the room.

Angelica was very bad with her words and most of the time when she does say them it comes out offensive.

"Princess, are they spirits?" Lance asked curiously. He gazed at the wisps of lights occasionally blinking.

"Ahh, yes so are spirits but some are also animals that were around during the beginning of the Witchdom. They tend to let out there magic at night so that other small creatures can find there way home. Thats why there are many glowing colours." She explained.

"Magic creatures?"

"Yes, there are harmful ones but they a warded away by Sva. Strictly speaking a few high level guardians that keep them at bay making sure none can harm the herbs planted around the area of where the forest animals can reach."

"Amazing. Why exactly are they called Sva?" Lances info side kicked out and even Angelica felt a bit glad for it.

"Sva, 'S' representing the Silver Family and 'Va' for guardian. The guardians are animals who pledged loyalty to the forest and not the witches. But they do have a bit of relationship with us since we are protecting them one way or another."

"Do you mean the barrier?"

"Yes. Indeed the barrier. As you know one a few can enter an leave."

"Of course. Only royalty or guest allowed can enter right?"

"Uh Huh. Makes me wonder, how did you get an entry? Not to make it sound bad but as I said only a few can enter." She squinted her eyes, "Much less know their way around the palace."

'She's sharp.' Lance he side glanced at Ivan who was drinking his tea while listening quitely.

"Princess do you want to hear a story?" Lance asked putting down his cup.

"I'm all ears." She smiled drinking from the cup.

"5 years ago a rare curse fell onto three of our closest men. One was turned blind. The second one can't feel his arms no longer. And the third one will always face the night of pain every full moon. A soldier. A Count. And a King."

Angelica felt her breath hitch hearing his words but patiently listened.

"During this time we were away trying to find a method for there cure. Doctor to healer to Wizards. But then we tried seeking out witches."

"We did meet Her Majesty 2 years ago but that was during the attack that happened."

'Ahh, this makes more sense now I know why there here. It for a favour.' She nodded.

"I may be be bold but, your here for medicine or some remedy to cure them right?"

"Yes, Princess." Lance didn't even hide it from her making her curious as to why he didn't.

"How far a long is the curse?"

"What?" Lance widened his eyes and she almost rolled hers.

"I'm talking about far has it spread?"

"'I don't understand princess."

"You said it was a curse. Let me cut this short. Have you found the cause?"

Lance didn't answer.

"Guess that means no."

"Princess we have tried but all efforts went into waste."

"You don't have to explain, I get it." She sighed.

It been five years and they haven't found the cause that mean the curse will be completely consumed the body making them turn in crazy creatures with out any soul.

"Your in big trouble. That many years and no sign of turning? They may as well be ticking bombs easy to explode.

"Princess..." Lance swallowed his words. She was right.

"Princess you now have an idea why we're here no right?" Ivan finally spoke.

"Of course, your here for witch blood. More specifically royal witch blood." She said.

"Yes, the mysterious rumour of where the blood of our family can cancel out curses. Well good luck." She said dryly.

The won't be able to get their blood no matter how much they tried. Only under rare circumstances could they get it and she was sure that her grandmother wouldn't allow it. Cancel curses no that wasn't it. There blood was practically a cure for even the most deadly poisons but as she said under special conditions can it happen.

She closed her eyes and remembered that changes in her eyes.

Silver Eyes

The eyes of madness to be more precise. They only thing she didn't want to use under any condition.

She silently watched the light of the forest and snapped her fingers. Soon a the lights came flying towards their direction and surrounded their table taking the two men by surprise.

"Come say hi, their our guests." She smiled and they changed in more visible forms. The shifted into white little spirits.

"Angelica your back!"

"I want more sweets!"

"Angelica's friends?"

Many spirits came out to play. It was mostly because they liked Angelica.

Lance looked at the cute little spirts dumbfounded. He couldn't believe he was seeing them. He took off his glasses and still saw them making him shock.

"P-Princess, how can I see them?"

"They allowed you too that's why." She said giving a treat to them.

Lance suddenly had his glasses pulled away and saw that 3 little white spirits looking at them curiously.

'They look eatable.' He became shocked with his thoughts.

Ivan looked at the table that was glowing with spirits and knew this was Angelica's way of distracting them. He payed no heed to the spirits and kept on drink his tea.

And it seems that even the spirits stayed away from him.

"Mr!! Mr!! What are theses?" Some sprints called out to Lance who had a strange expression.
