41 Exchanging Cups

The amazing Aurelius Kingdom hosted the return of the King health. It was a blessing to hear as many people both nobles and commoners were glad for his recovery. All and all this celebration was me at for one thing.
The return of the crown.
Salvatore Cathal who ascended the throne at the age of 20 who know as a wise king and had the reputation of a beast. But after the war it's said that the King had an illness or to be more accurate a curse was bestowed upon him by an enemy witch.
That king suffered 5 years or pain almost and had been locked away from the lights of the people leaving his throne to his trusted confidant.
Only a few people knew of his condition and so the responsibility fell onto his younger brother Prince Vander Salvatore and Prince Ivan De Knight Constantine from Danato Kingdom who took the time to help under the hidden name of Collin.
During this time Vander became busy with royal duties and papers that couldn't be taken care of while Ivan spent time in and out of the Kingdom taking care of external factors such a rebel and other countries that wanted to take part in the chaos and destroy Aurelius Kingdom.
Due to the suppression and overwhelming wins by 'Collin' the Kingdom stabilized and the looming dangers had been taken care of swiftly.
(Now back to the banquet)
Currently Cathal and Angelica stood out the banquet door. Angelica felt all sorts of injustice especially because of these people around her.
"Princess, do you mind?" Cathal kissed the back of her hand.
"Do I have a choice your Majesty?" She retorted.
Cathal smiled by her remarks and smirked a little deviously. "Nope. But I'll let you go afterwards."
Angelica sighed and looked at the sea blue ball gown and sighed again. It been so long since she wore this. But it really made her look like an elegant Princess. The makeup, the hair and the shoes.
All prepared by Ivan himself. And under his instructions she came here.
Including the inner wear that she didn't even know about.
"I seriously don't understand what you men are doing." She said to him and Cathal knowingly smiled.
"You find out soon." He whispered.
"I hope when I do, I make sure that person keeping me in suspense is dead." She said whispering back.
Cathal laughed at her dark humour.
The door of the ballroom opened showing the many and many people inside. Most of them are noble from the kingdom others from other countries that are here after being invited by them.
Cathal and Angelica walked hand and hand towards the middle of the ballroom. Elegant and beautiful. They had smiling emotions on their face but really it was Angelica rolling her eyes inwardly and Cathal trying not to laugh at her antics.
But the people around didn't have time to notice that.
"Princess, May I have the honour in being your first dance?" Cathal bowed and held out his hand.
"You do your Majesty." Angelica took his hand.
Soon the ballroom had filled up with music playing from the orchestra. And added fact that magical instruments giving off light and started surrounding the toe of them making them more enchanting them ever.
"Pff, by the end of this week everyone will send a marriage proposal to you." Cathal teased.
"Your Majesty I would be careful if I was you. Teasing a witch is not the best thing right now." Angelica smiled very threateningly.
The two were now have a whispering battle of words not giving out at all. Over all the scene between them looked intimate to the guest and they started thinking that finally Cathal picked out a Queen.
Many ladies were jealous of Angelica for taking this opportunity.
"Just what is going on with those two?" Vander asked Lance who looked like he knew something.
But clearly he was wrong, "I'm not sure but... are they fighting?" Lance asked.
If they were he will probably start coughing out blood because of the amount of times they all fought. He never thought that such a royalty would act like...
...mere children.
He almost got a headache ever time and scolded them to know end.
Vander who was beside him didn't know that Lance was currently blaming them all for his luck and misfortunes.
Instead he looked around for the main figure. He was curious as to where Ivan was. Since the start of the mingling the man only said he'll come later making him wonder what's was going on.
"It's probably something related to Angelica since he would only go crazy for her. Don't you think Lance?"
Lance recalled all the memories that happened and agreed, "Maybe your right." He didn't have any doubts about it.
They both looked back at busy party soon and started blending in with the many people. Sometimes chatting or drinking wine. They all were having a blast until...
"Your attention please!" Said one of the Kings attendants.
Everyone watch as Cathal got up from his throne and walked a little before stopping. He looked at the crowd with a smile.
"Today we have a special guest joining us. Without him I believe that this kingdom would have fallen in days. The many times he braved the frontlines and saved this kingdom was numerous..." he continued talking.
Angelica got bored of his talking and turned away to walk towards the open balcony. She stare at the moon and sighed. Swirling her glass she drank its contents and play with the cup in a daze.
Tink! The cup hit something and brought her attention back.
She looked at the side and saw a very handsome face that made her feel surprise. Her mouth fell open as she looked at him.
"Ivan? What the heck are you doing here?!" She gasped are him.
Ivan let out a chuckle and grabbed her hand that held the wine cup. And pulled her closer till their were no gaps.
Currently Angelica was trapped with the railing behind her and the man in front of her. She blushed by the proximity and tried pushing him away using her other hand.
"What are you doing?!" She yelled exasperated because this damn mountain man didn't move.
"Hmm? Nothing I'm just enjoying the scene." As he was clearly able to see the amazing body and face of Angelica. His golden eyes hardened glancing at the top of her chest.
Angelica looked to were he was looking at and blushed. She covered her chest and sneered at him, "Rogue!!"
"Angelica I have something to say. Will you listen for a moment?" He asked seriously.
Angelica blue eyes squinted a bit and nodded waiting for his question.
"But first of all promise me that you'll say yes to every question okay?" A cunning glint pasted his eyes but soon left.
Angelica nodded once a again missing the light in his eyes.
"Did you enjoy the stay at this kingdom?"
She thought about the memories and smiled, "Yes".
"Did you enjoy all the knew things you learned?"
Her eyes sparkled when she remembered all those rare books she read, "Yes!!"
"Did you enjoy the new friends you made?"
"Yes!!" She answers immediately since it was something she never thought she would experience again. She loved the dear memories they made.
The questions continued on and soon Ivan saw that she let her guard down and asked his smart question.
"Do you love me?" He grinned when he said it out loud.
"Yes!!!" She answered right away. But paused hearing his question. She instantly became apple red.
"Me too." He grinned. "I have loved you since long ago."
That instant the world stopped between the two of them.
