Ivan also look at the sky and then back to the woman who was lying down in the sand. He frowned a bit.
"You'll get sand in your hair if you lay down on it." He said.
Angelica grinned at him, "I don't mind. Sand it just something you and take out anyway with a little magic."
He helplessly sighed and sat beside her but kept a distance. It was rude for a lady and man to be at such close proximity.
"And why are you out tonight? Just here for the stars?" Ivan asked.
"No, I'm here to look for a-" she saw a shooting star and her words paused for a moment.
"I'm looking for some peace..." she answered softly.
Ivan glanced at her and didn't say anything. A few minutes pasted until Angelica opened her mouth.
"And what about you Prince? What are you out tonight?"
Ivan grinned at her, "I'm looking for some company. Wanna join me tonight?"
Why did that whole sentence sound scandalous? She shook off thoughts, there was no way a man like him would say something that outlandish, right?
"No thanks. I don't want too." She bluntly said.
"Princess your very funny."
"I know I am." She closed her eyes and listened to the waves.
Ivan looked at her blankly. He really had no idea how to approach this woman, since most of the time it was women who approached him.
He sighed and looked at the loud waves hitting the shore. Well she was right about one thing. This place was great for its peacefulness. The stars, the water and the salty air of the sea. All in harmony.
"Princess can I ask you a question?" Ivan stared at the sea while talking to her.
"Hmm?" She opened her eyes and looked at him, "Go ahead."
"What are your thoughts on the curse that was placed on the three?"
'Oh?' Now that caught her attention. She stared at him and slowly sat up and the sand and looked at him.
"Do you want me to be honest?"
"Yes." Ivan looked at her. Straight into her blue eyes that held hidden mysteries.
Angelica sighed, "You guys told me that the curse had almost been on them for five years correct? And also that you haven't found the cause at all, right?"
"Yes" Ivan swallowed a lump in his throat seeing that her expression changed a bit.
"Well there are a few possibilities. One is that right now that curse is eating them alive till the point they lose control and become creatures like being that will rampage."
"The second possibility is that they are being held as immediate hostages. Meaning that both the crown and it's strong attends are being closely monitored in case they do something."
"Third possibility, this curse is used as a controller."
"Controller? Do you mean like puppet magic? Like following the will of others? But how would that explain their pain and conditions?" Ivan asked her.
"That's the problem here Prince. Until I see them I can't be certain. Here take a look at this." She pulled off something from her neck and threw it to him.
It was like an eye piece, with that green glass that clearly made it seem like an abnormal piece. Ivan looked at it carefully and then put his eye closer to look through it and to his surprise he was shocked.
"What a handy things you have." He could see the vast amount a power coming from Angelica that wasn't being displayed.
"That's green glass is the real treasure. The Sea Guardian Vienna gave it to me a few dozens years ago when I 'visited' her temple."
"Visited? Isn't Vienna strict with other beings entering her land?"
"I just beat her games and she gave me this as a gift." She shrugged. She was originally their to see if the sea guardian knew of a way to break her seals. Sadly Vienna couldn't.
Ivan looked at her speechless. She was even more unruly than him!! She even went head to head with a guardian.
"I see a new light in you every time you talk Princess."
"Your no different either Prince."
"Can you stop calling me that. It's Ivan! Ivan!! Okay!" He endured being called that but he couldn't take it anymore.
He hated being called Prince!! And more so that she made it sound taunting to him.
"Right Prince. Anyway that little thing in your hand is called- Stat. It could read poisons, antidotes and curses. It also used to trace magic as you can see." She lit her finger with a flame and threw it forward in various circles before it disappeared.
"Can you see it?"
Ivan looked through the eyes pieces and saw a familiar red, orange and white trail. It was the residents of fire magic and also wind magic!!
"Amazing indeed. I see both traces of for and wind magic." His statement made Angelica's eyes widen.
"Right it's super amazing but I'm more shocked that you were able to use it. Seems like your no ordinary magic knight. You might even be stronger than a few people I know."
'And even more stronger than me with my seals on.' She thought.
Ivan's eyes harden hearing her words. So this eye piece only lets strong people see through it. So she deliberately gave it to him. So she was trying to uncover his magic and strength.
What a cunning woman!!
"You seriously are a beautifully smart woman!" He gave a boyish grin."
"Your not to bad yourself. Only if you were a bit more gentlemanly." She got up and started walking away.
"I am a gentleman!" He got up and dusted the sand off him before following her.
They both soon arrived at the busy night market and he could see the full blown smiled she gave as she looked around curiously.
"Wanna look around?" He said closely to her ear.
Angelica once again covered her ears and glared at him. "Rogue!!" She walked away.
