90 I’m No Different From You

"You were the one who squeezed into this cold place without trying." He said.

"Ivan I-" Angelica was interrupted by him.

"Wait let me finish!" He said anxiously. Right now he was a mess and he wanted to at least confess and do his best with his words and emotions. He wanted to be out in the open and not hesitate anymore because if he does she might runaway.

"You said you didn't deserve it! But I think I was the one who didn't deserve it even more then you. You had everything out in the open and never hesitated in what you think. Yet I... I was the one who was constantly backing away."

"Angelica, how much do you really know about me?"

His question made her pause. Angelica looked up and saw the serious and worried face that he put. He was right? How much does she actually know about this man? It was question she should have asked herself from the beginning. No matter, how she looked at it.

Everything about him was a blank page.

Angelica face had a curious and conflicted look. Ivan knew that she was seriously thinking about him and his background. His heart skipped a beat.

It's not that he didn't want to share his past but it was hard for him to say anything due to some problems. Just thinking about them ruined his mood and suddenly a dark aura enveloped him. He couldn't help worry and think about what he should exactly say about this to Angelica. She was someone he wanted both heart and soul. He didn't want anyone but her. But these fears within him stopped him form saying somethings. What if she changes?

They weren't any different. Putting up walls so no one can truly touch their fragile parts. Yet somehow they did without even knowing and he kinda wanted to make him laugh.

But his worries we're nothing because he was stunned by her words that made his heart explode.

"Ivan.. I- I like you." She said with confidence even though she may have stutter. There was sincerity that couldn't be missed. She stared right into his golden eyes that slowly started to widen by her words.

Ivan found his brain shut down for a moments and suddenly under the pale moonlight his light tanned face blushed.

Angelica's mouth dropped opened but she closed it and stared at the cute man-

-Did she just say cute?

Okay! She'll accept that at this moment this man was very cute. Very very cute!!

"Ivan... I don't know a lot about you but we all have secrets right? I just hope that at some point you would tell me and likewise I will try to share my... secrets." She smiled.

Ivan still had his brain in the mud and couldn't hear anything at the moment. Seeing this Angelica raised her hand and flicked his forehead and the my finally snapped out of it and cover his head due to the pain.

He blinked and looked at her with a confused face but it soon changed to a face that had disbelief making her more amused.

Angelica giggle seeing the lost Ivan but soon enough she was brought into a huge hug making her laugh out loud. She could tell something was up with this man and she knew it was probably good thing.

Ivan in the other hand was so happy and sad. Quietly he hugged her tightly, hiding his face into her shoulder and breathing in her scent as she laughed and patted his back comforting him. She was indeed much braver than him who couldn't even talk about his past.

She almost had the same experience as him but the only difference was...

He was an unwanted person in this world.

His golden eyes felt a bit of stinging and he sudden felt amused. He never cried but for some reason they fell wetting her dress a bit.

'I will never accept a monster like you!!' Said a voice from his past.

But Angelica accepted him.

"Hey! Hey! Wait why are you crying!!?" Angelica panicked and tried to push him away to see his face but the man stubbornly held onto her. Angelica became worried and tried to calm him down like how she would do to the young witches in the forest when she stay.

"Your okay."

"...."

"Your okay."

"You will always be okay. I'm here aren't I? Your okay."

Ivan didn't know if he should laugh or cry. All though he was moved by her actions, she was completely treating him like a child! Not that he minded it, but if anything he was a bit jealous if she had ever comforted someone like this.

How lucky they must have been.

He squeezed her tighter making Angelica gasp out loud and lightheaded tap his back since his hold was to strong. But all of a sudden he looked at her and she blinked at him in question.

"Are you okay? Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked.

"So are you going to be my fiancée since you said yes?"

Angelica felt her jaw drop and she tried to explain, "E-engagement is a bit much!! How about a normal lover's relationship?" She said.

"What's a normal lover's relationship? Isn't it the same when we are engaged?" Ivan asked and saw her contemplating and her trying to think of a better way to reply.

There was no way he would allow that though.

"I think it's the same as being lovers. Your doing the same things and enjoying it right. And were in a relationship right? So why not be my fiancée?"

Angelica wasn't one to fall for his cunning words though, "Let's have a normal lover's relationship then."

Ivan: "....."

Okay, he'll give up this for today and think about a different way to persuade her later on. Today he had gotten to much and asking for more would be a bit to selfish even for him, who was used to getting everything he wanted.

Angelica looked at his golden eye and wipe the corner of his eye. There were a bit of wet at the side of his eyes but she didn't say anything. She only stare at his eyes and nothing else.

"Shall we go back home?" She said after awhile.

Ivan's eye strangely lit up and repeated her words in his head. He smiled and touched her face, he looked at her with a face that said he wanted to do more.

More to her.

Angelica coughed and pinched his cheeks hardly making the man frown, before she eased his face by giving him a quick peck on the cheek much to his surprise.

He looked at her with round shiny eyes which she found adorable, "You did well in convincing me." She then turned around and hid the blush that was creeping on her face.

Angelica snapped her finger and they both soon ended up in front of the his mansion. She looked at the brightly lit up mansion and then noticed a anxiously butler coming towards them.

"Duke!! Duke a urgent message!!" He fumbled with his words completely pale as he handed a letter.

Angelica looked at Ivan and watched him open the contents. His expression didn't change but his aura did. From anger and he glared at the paper effectively crumpling it.

"It didn't expect the church to make such a daring move." He let out and handed the letter to Angelica much to her surprise.

Angelica looked at the letter and started reading the short paragraph. She let out a laugh and even continued laughing since this was so ridiculous that even people would think she had gone mad!

"I didn't expect you humans to have a more shameless side than me. Such arrogance and crap in this letter just made my day. I didn't expect that they would have the audacity to blame our kind right off the bat." She said chillingly as her blue eyes read the lines.

"What this shit. Our evil or not will never pick on weaklings. There a waste of time." She said giving the paper back to Ivan.

"I won't get involved. But I'll take care of my mess. You take care of this before it gets worse or say goodbye to all the churches in the kingdom. I'm famous for destroying things I don't like Duke Constantine." She said formally and left the two to head back to her room.

"Angelica." He watched her paused and then turn around.

"Do you have time to spare a bit more this evening?" He asked politely since he could tell this was a matter that effected them both now that it appeared.

He cursed his luck for this news only to appear when he barely settled their relationship and now due to this mess created by the church he wondered how it would be mended.

"Ivan, I believe in you. Don't think to hard and I'm free after my bath. See ya." And she left like that.

Ivan smiled and then turned serious. He looked at his Butler and then asked him to set a meeting with his men tomorrow. It will be busy but first comes Angelica who might not be happen and he planned on coaxing her first.
