Let's Go

"Isn't this fun, Michel?" Aurora asked, holding her hands out as the wind hit her like a very weak wall.

"I don't know." He said, gripping the cloth as he looked a little over the edge.

"What's wrong? Never been up in the air?" Aurora teased, laying down on the cloth as she took off her coat.

"No, not really." He said, "It's a strange feeling to be up here."

"You've never been in the air?" Aurora quickly shot up, right at his face.

"Yes." He answered, afraid to blink as she is only inches from his face. "Is there something wrong with that?"

"Not for you but for me," Aurora said tapping the cloth as the speed decreased suddenly. "I'm sorry. This would be too much for someone's first time. I should have been more considerate of your feelings."

Why does this conversation sound a little strange? She isn't saying anything to offend me but … there's something so strange about this conversation.
