Second Meeting

Lillian was helping some of them in the kitchen, which she did not know was there in this place, as they prepared something to eat for the people there.

Some of the people were former slaves that Remus managed to rescue while others were normal workers in the daytime.

Lillian tried to keep an eye out of that cook guy she saw in the shop and was drooling over.

She could not be there as long as she wanted, so she helped wherever she could.

Most did not have proper food the entire day and this is their only chance of eating properly. Lillian couldn't help but remember her adoptive mother in this situation.

"I really do need to talk to her more." She sighed while she talked to herself.

"You were saying something, Saintess?" One of the men there asked as he chopped up the vegetables.

"I was only whispering to myself," Lillian said, smiling as she went back to stirring the large pot of soup. "I have a question."

"Yes?"
