Different Tiers

Raiju was shocked. "You also practice the sword?! I made you out to be a master spearman. And about a technique….. I've been looking to practice the military sword form. It is rough and heavy. I think it would do well and suit my tyrannical power. What do you think?"

KJ walked out to the courtyard with his hands casually clasped behind his back. "To be completely honest... those military techniques are all pretty trash."

Raiju started to get a bit upset. "You know that's our military. You should be happy and proud of our power. You shouldn't insult our men!"

KJ: I'm not insulting the men…. I'm insulting the technique the men are using. Would you like me to explain the difference in the strength and power of techniques? There is a power ranking that is known across the entire planet. It is split up into different levels and certain techniques and weapons can fall within certain levels. Do you really want to know where this military technique falls?

Raiju scratched his head as he thought. "Is it really that bad?? What are the other rankings then?"

KJ: Sit down and I'll start to explain them. People use various techniques and weapons in order to gain power. These all can be graded based on the realm they allow you to reach and compete at. From the weakest to strongest is goes like this

KJ: The weakest tier is literally called Trash. It's really not even a tier of its own but some people still use it. When a weapon is called Trash, it is a weapon that has no spiritual energy within. The weapon was created normally without any external major powers. A trash weapon is made with trash or garbage materials. This means that after a couple of rough usages…. The weapon would be completely unusable. They are called trash because they eventually shatter. Only the poor or people in dire straits would use Trash weapons. You especially shouldn't be using a Trash item if you're an upper mortal or stronger. If you are in a realm higher than these then the weapon will surely shatter on its first usage…. It will be unable to handle the power output and crumble under its pressure. Cultivating with a Trash technique will only let you reach below the Upper Mortal Realm

KJ: The next tier after that is Common. These are weapons that also do not have any energy. They are a level above Trash weapons. Anyone who is under the Upper Mortal realm can use Common weapons as many times as they want without them degrading. It can be considered well made if it is Common. Also, remember this….. these rankings are used by peak level beings. A Common in some places may be very desirable. A Common technique will allow someone to reach the 1st realm but it is highly difficult… Remember, a technique isn't a free pass. You must have the skills necessary to learn and excel in the technique

KJ: The tier after common is Rare. If an item is rare then it could be said to reach the pinnacle of a weapon without energy. These weapons are incredibly strong and durable. They can be said to be perfect in their tier. They are without any impurities or imperfections. These weapons can be used by people in the 2nd realm and below without degrading... Remember, the Spirit Connection realm is the 1st realm... the mortal realm is considered as the 0th realm. The techniques that are taught to your weakest army men and the one you have been training in are all Rare tier. The highest you can go with a Rare technique is the 3rd realm

KJ: Now, the next tier is Special. From now on…. These weapons are made from poor or decent materials. These weapons are capable of wielding spiritual energy. These weapons are much more durable than Rare weapons. These weapons can be used by anyone up to the 3rd realm without degrading. Remember, all weapons can degrade in battle but if a weapon degrades due to the wielders own power... that type of degradation will determine its realm. The poor materials used in these weapons are still all much more valuable than the materials used in Rare weapons. The highest realm you can reach with a Special technique is the 4th realm

KJ: Next we're getting to the stronger weapons. Now, we're getting into the upper tier of all weapons on this planet. This tier can fall into 2 branches. It depends on if the technique or weapon is demonic or divine in origin. Demonic and Divine weapons can be used by anyone up to the 6th realm without degrading. These weapons differ from Special weapons because they can develop a spirit and even a spirit body. Demonic and Divine weapons are exceedingly valuable because a newly forged weapon is highly valuable. If a weapon already has a spirit than the spirit may be incompatible with various users. If you have a newly forged weapon….. you can slowly develop a spirit that is 100% compatible with you. Demonic and Divine techniques can bring you all the way to the 7th realm

KJ paused for a minute and took a breather. "Goddamn, that was a lot of talking. I almost got cottonmouth…. KJ took a swig of whisky and got right back into the explanation.

1st Tier: Trash

2nd Tier: Common

3rd Tier: Rare

4th Tier: Special

5th Tier: Divine or Demonic

6th Tier: ???
