Trouble on Earth pt.2

When I stepped through to Lord Death's office he was sitting patiently waiting for my return. "Arius sit, tell me all about this Beast." I did as I was told and told him about the events of the hunt. When I finished his fingers were drumming. "What will you do with Loralie and Commander Gorg?" He asked while handing a ghoul a scroll. "Loralie will stay in my chambers while I'm gone and ill have the twins keep watch of her, as for Commander Gorg, with your permission, I'd like to demote him and have his lieutenant take over for him. Then I'd like to break his teeth for putting a recruit in the situation he just put Loralie through." My eyes started to burn as my anger started to rise.

Lord Death focused on my eyes and his jaw went slack. "Auris, how did you do that?" My surprise at the question cause the sensation in my eyes to go away. "Do what?" I asked as Lord Death stood from his chair and walked in front of me. He leaned over till his face was half a foot from mine. "Your eyes just burst into flames. Like mine do, but this can't be happening the ceremony hasn't happened yet." He turned away and waved his hand. "Leave me Auris I have much to think about."

I stood and walked out of the doors and made my way to Coffin's headquarters. The way there was uneventful but when I reached the door plainly marked as Coffin and activated a small amount of energy and blew the doors apart sending splinters everywhere. "Commander Gorg front and center!" My voice echoed off the walls causing every reaper in the room to stand at attention. Gorg walked up to me and pounded his hand against his heart. "Lord Auris." He said plainly. I felt my eyes burn again as I grabbed him by the throat and forced him to his knees. "Would you care to explain why Loralie your new recruit was stationed alone in a highly populated area?" He gasped for breath as the bystanders started to leave the room.

"I asked you a question Commander." I leaned close enough to him that I could see my eyes on fire in the reflection of his eyes. "I dont know Lord Auris." I let go and took a few steps back. "Commander for your actions I am relieving you of your command, call in your lieutenant." His brows furrowed in anger as he stood up. "Yes my Lord, Perius!" A small man with a scar over his right eye walked in the room reading a scroll. His hair was long and pulled back, he had knives strapped to his arms and legs, he had multiple strapped to his chest and a few strapped to various parts of his back.

"Yo, what's up Commander." His eyes left the scroll in his hand and then he noticed me and dropped it while saluting. "Lord Auris what a suprise." I turned to face Perius and ripped the commander badge from Gorg's arm. "Perius you're the new Commander of Coffin, pick a lieutenant and let me know by tomorrow. Gorg you will be taken to Lodd Death, he will decide what to do with you, may he have mercy." With that I turned and walked to my chambers eager for this day to end.

When I stepped in my chambers Anagi was sitting on the end of my bed reading a scroll and Loralie was asleep under the covers, I sighed and walked to my bathroom and turned on the shower. Anagi stood and came in and closed the door behind her. "So what happened with Gorg?" She asked putting her hand on my back. I stared into the mirror and waited for the water to get hot. "Gorg is no longer the commander his lieutenant Perius is now, I sent Gorg to Lord Death. Something weird happened with him earlier, I got angry and he said my eyes burst into flames and I saw it happen when I was punishing Gorg. He mentioned something about it shouldn't be happening yet but I don't understand it. I am his Right Hand I've been closer to him than any other being aside from Lady Life."

I turned to face her and she dropped her hand. "I have to shower and get some rest, so you think Lady Life will let you stay till I go to the nineth circle? " I asked staring into her eyes. She smiled and put both hands on either side of my face, "Of course I will my love. shower up, you stink." She pinched her nose and waved her other hand infront of her face, I just smiled and wrapped her in a hug. "What do you mean I stink I smell like fresh roses." She squirmed to get out of my grip but gave up when she couldn't get free. "I give, let me go you smelly brute." I did as I was told and she left leaving me to my shower.

When I got out Anagi had changed back into her dress and Loralie was awake, I had changed into a simple black shirt and pants and was walking around barefoot. "Hey, Loralie if u need to wash up bathrooms free." I said while handing her a towel. "I'll send a ghoul to your quarters to get u some clothes." She smiled and thanked me before heading to the bathroom. I activated my energy and called out to the closest ghoul and ordered him yo grab Loralie's things to my room. Anagi walked behind me and wrapped her arms around me and whispered into my ear. "Are you okay, that Beast may have been different but you took out far stronger things while in the abyss."

She was right, about a century ago one of Lucifer's leviathan escaped its cage and the Right Hands were sent to either kill or recapture it. When we got there the leviathan went berserk and knocked all of us. I happened to be the first to come too and used the most energy I've ever used and wiped it from existence. "Yeah, Lord Death seems to think the Black Hand split my energy in two and I can't access the other half. while I'm in the Nineth Circle I'm going to pay the Demon King a visit and see if he knows a way to reverse it." She kissed the back of my head and laid down on my bed. "I'm gonna take a nap, who knows when you'll be going to the Nineth Circle, I'm gonna come as your body guard since the twins will be protecting Loralie." She smirked knowing that even if I tried I wouldn't be able to change her mind. "Fine but the second it gets too dangerous you're coming back here and sending the twins to me. Understood?" I asked holding her face on my hands to make her look into my eyes. I felt her pulse quicken the longer I held her that way. "I understand." I leaned forward and kissed her before pulling away and laying down next to her. The last thought before I fell asleep was of Anagi's lips on my own.
