"My name is Dyosa and my friend here is Carissa" Carissa turned her face to the other side pretending as if she was not part of the discussion.
"Hi, Carissa nice to meet you" Ethan smiled and extended his hand towards Carissa. Dyosa brushed Carissa's arm slowly, "Carissa, Ethan is talking to you." Carissa smiled at Ethan and turned her face away again.
"Carissa is always like that. Don't mind her behavior" Dyosa smiled at Ethan
Ethan looked at Carissa in the face, "Isn't this the girl that beat Sam up the other day"
Jones said, "Yeah, she is"
Billy said, "I heard about her fighting skills"
Ethan smiled, "Can you teach me some of your skills? I want to learn from you"
"We want to learn from you our master" Billy said and bow to her politely.
"Will you guys stop embarrassing her" Dyosa said in a low voice but they were still able to hear her.
Ethan shouted, "Hey guys, let me introduce somebody to you" Everybody stopped dancing and look towards their direction. He stood up from his chair and walked towards Carissa, "Sam was beaten up by a girl, do you remember?"
Some nodded their head while some answered yes.
"She is the girl" he said and pointed his index finger at Carissa. "Her name is Carissa"
The news got the crowd roaring.
"She is the one. She looks like someone that can't even fight" a girl with a nose ring said
"Yeah, she has a calm face" another said
"She looks so innocent, one won't believe she can even kill an ant" another said.
It's true, Carissa does not look like someone who can fight. She has an innocent look but she does not back down when it comes to fighting her enemy.
"She is beautiful"
"She is also a skilled fighter"
"Did you learn it Carissa?"
"Can you please teach me some self defense"
"Yeah, teach us please"
"You are brave Carissa, were you not afraid of Sam's parent?"
"You are a bastard Carissa. Sam was suspended because of you"
"Bastard,bastard"
Some began to curse at her while some defended her. Ethan's group were enjoying the drama and they began to laugh.
Dyosa looked at Carissa face, she was expecting her to be angry but to her surprise she was smiling.
"Carissa I think we should leave. This people will not stop until you do something bad to them" Dyosa was worried. This was the first time Carissa will smile when people are saying bad things about her.
"I hate you Carissa. You are a bitch" a girl came out of the crowd and threw a honey cake at her. Carissa was fast, she caught it in her hand.
She took a bite and smiled, "Yummy, thanks for the cake" She stood up and took the wine glass from the table and walked towards the girl. "You are such a beautiful girl. Sam has never told you that, right? I bet he has never talked to you either. So why are you defending him? He is not even here to see you. I think it's just a waste of time defending sam" she sneered
Dyosa heart was beating too fast. She was scared that Carissa will beat the girl.
"You are not innocent. Stop pretending" she yelled
"And did I ever tell you that I am innocent" she smiled.
"Sam did nothing to you. You evil bitch"
Carissa immediately dropped the wine glass on the girls leg. She was wearing a wedge heels so the broken pieces pierced her skin.
"Ouch, my leg" she cried
"Oops sorry, I slipped from my hand" she said and turned. "Dyosa, let's go" she grabbed Dyosa's hand to leave but immediately stopped in her tracks and turned, "Thanks for the honey cake" she licked her fingers and smiled.
Dyosa gave her a questioning look but she smiled at her. With that, they left the party.
At south cotabato
They were four men sitting around a wooden table in the bigby's cafe and resturant. They were all in police uniform.
first man said, "How is your family company doing"
Second man said, "I don't know since I have not been there"
First man said, "Why don't you just go back to the company and we will help you with your mission"
Second man, "No, I don't want that. I want to complete my mission first and then go back to my family's company"
Third man, "Bro we are here for you. If you need anything just tell us" he patted his back
Fourth man, "Of course"
Second man, "Thanks to all of you" he smiled
They chit chatted and continued drinking.
Next morning at alvardo street.
Elvira and her family were eating breakfast when they heard a knock on the door. Elvira stood up and walked to the door. She was surprised by who she saw.
"What are you doing here"
"To say hello" Marco said with a smile.
"How did you know this is where I leave? Did you follow me here?"
"Yes" he smiled.
That day when Elvira declined his offer, he decided to wait for her in the car. After work, when he saw her coming out he wanted to go to her but stopped when he saw a girl with her. He waited for the girl to go so he could talk to Elvira but Elvira took a cab home with the girl. He decided to follow her home.
"Can I come in?"
"No you can't. Just go back home and never come back"
"Don't mind her. You can come inside" Mrs belen walked to Marco and pulled him inside. "Come join us"
Elvira later followed them to the dinning room. He sat beside Elvira and he was served Kare Kare with rice.
"My dear, what's your name?" Mrs belen asked politely.
"My name is Marco"
"Tell me, how did you meet my daughter?" Mrs belen was interested in Marco already
"We met in the resturant. She was the waiter that served me my food that day" he smiled.
"What! At the resturant!" Isabelle almost spat out her food.
"Yes we met at the resturant" Marco said.
She turned to Elvira, "But you never told me about him. Are you already dating?"
Carissa almost spat out her food, "What! mother are you already dating!"
"No, I don't even know him...and there is nothing between us, do you all understand?"
"Mother? Is she your daughter?" Marco asked.
"Yes, do you think my mom is not married or do you think she has not given birth?" Carissa laughed.
"Married? She is married?"
"Yes, she is but her husband died fourteen years ago" Isabelle said and looked at Elvira's face.
"Oh, sorry for the loss"
"So tell me more about youself" Mrs belen decided to change the topic.
"I have a company here in the Philippines and the headquarters at U.k."
"That means you are rich" Dyosa said
"I like Elvira so much and..."
"Am sorry Marco but I don't want to marry or love any man. I have my daughter and I am satisfied even if I am not rich, I love the life I am living" with that she stood up and left.
"I am sorry for that marco" Mrs belen immediately apologized
"It's okay lola. I think I should leave now" he immediately stood up and left without allowing anybody to talk.
"That daughter of mine is really stubborn" Mrs belen sighed.
"Lola, give her a little time" Carissa said and checked the time. "It's time to go, Dyosa" They stood up, took their bags and left the house.
At Britespark International School.
Carissa was reading in her class when Ethan came in. Ever since that fight happened between Carissa and Sam, no one dared to offend her. Ethan sat in front of her.
"Hi Carissa, how are you?" he smiled
"How does that concern you?" she asked coldly without looking at his face
"I am just asking"
"Don't ask because am not your friend"
He brought out a food thermos and placed it in front of her.
"Am sorry"
"Why?"
"For what happened yesterday's night. I shouldn't have mentioned your name to everyone there" he said with sadness on his face.
"Are you done?"
"..."
She stood up to leave but he stopped her
"I brought your favorite food; Kare kare"
Carissa was surprised.she has never told him anything about herself.
"How did you know?"
"Secret"
"Did Dyosa tell you?"
She knew it was only Dyosa that knows her best food is Kare Kare. She must have told him.
"I forced her to tell me. Don't get mad at her"
"So you are bribing me with Kare Kare?" she smiled
"Please forgive me"
"Who cooked the food" she looked at him.
"I did"
"What! Do your parents allow you to cook?"
"No, I cooked it when they were not around and I told the maids not to tell them" he laughed
Carissa could not say no so she walked to her seat and sat down. She opened the food thermos and began to eat. Ethan was happy when he saw her eating the food.
"How is it?, how is it?" he couldn't wait for the girl to tell him how delicious the food is.
"Delicious" she smiled
"So have you forgiven me?" he asked happy.
"Mhm" she nodded
"Thank you" he ran to hug her but he stopped immediately and smiled at her.
"Come and eat"
"No, it's all yours" he smiled
She looked down and continue eating her food.
Later at night.
Elvira got home late and she was already tired so she went to her room to rest but was surprised when she saw a beautiful ball gown on the bed. She could remember that she never kept gowns like this so how did it get to her room.
"Carissa!" she called from her room.
"Yes, nay" she walked into the room. "Do you need something?"
"I found this on my bed and I don't remember having this in my closet. Are you the owner?"
"Nope, it's for you"
"Huh?"
"Lola bought this for you. You are going out on a date"
"With who?"
"Sir Marco"
Elvira expression changed. But why did Mrs belen have to arrange a date for her and Marco.
"Huh? Why?"
Carissa sat her mother down, "Lola wants you to give him a chance"
"But..."
"And I support her so you have to go"
"You..."
"If you really love me you will do it"
Elvira had no other choice but to agree so she got dressed and had a little makeup on and her hair flowed down her waist.
At Harbor View resturant.
Harbor View resturant is known as the best romantic resturant in manila. With Marco wealth, he can buy the whole resturant. She entered the resturant and saw Marco at the edge of the resturant. The table was decorated with food and drinks. He wore a black suit and egoist Alvaro classic sunglasses.
"Elvira come here" he waved his hand. She walked to him. "Sit down"
