I Hope We Find Justice For Her Death

Horace and Cyrus came out of the police station and walked over, "You said someone was following you?" Horace asked.

"Yes, but I didn't get to see the person's face" Leonel answered.

Horace said, "Leonel, you should be careful from now on. That person might want revenge"

"Yes, I know. I killed the truck driver and the people he worked for will surely come after me"

Leonel knew that with the case he is handling right now, he will face a lot of challenges. Those criminals will come after him and he is ready for anything, but he needs to protect his family. If anything bad happens to his family because of him, he will never be able to forgive himself. He also needs to protect himself for his family.

Cyrus patted Leonel's back and said, "Bro, I think we should go back inside now" Leonel nodded and they went back to the police station.

The man following Leonel came out from the back of the car he was hiding. He wore a white shirt and a blue jean with a white sneakers. He wore a baseball cap and dragged it down to cover his face so no one will recognize him. He pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number.

Somewhere at Chicago.

"Yes, what did you get? the man was sitting lazily on the couch and he held a glass wine cup in his hand.

"He is not Nicolas, he is Leonel" the man at the other side said.

"What?" his eyes grew wide in shock. He put down the glass cup in his hand and sat up in his chair.

"Leonel is a police officer and he lives at alvardo street, Binondo with his real family"

"What? But I thought he died few years ago"

"No. he was adopted by the cabelas and was taken abroad for his treatment, then he came back and was given the name Alex. Carissa found her brother some weeks back at south cotabota and they later found out that he is Leonel"

"Idiot! I thought you said everything was fine" the man yelled, furiously.

"Sorry, I thought he was dead" he apologized.

"Why don't I come back and surprise them. That will be fun, right?" the man's lips curled into an evil smile as he picked up his drink and lean back into his chair. "I will book a flight. I am coming home" he stared into the glass and shook it.

"That will be better. See you soon" the called ended.

Later at night.

Leonel came in with a plastic bag. He placed them on the dining table.

"I am home" he called out.

Mrs belen came out of her room and walked over. Leonel took the back of her hand and placed it on his forehead. Carissa and Dyosa also came out of the room, laughing. When they saw Leonel, they stopped laughing and went to hug him.

Leonel looked around and noticed his mother was not there. "Where is nay?" he asked.

Mrs belen looked around and said, "She will be somewhere around the house" Carissa noticed the plastic bags on the dining table and opened them to check what was inside.

"What are all this, kuya?" she asked.

"I brought some food on my way home. I thought it will be good if nay don't cook tonight" Leonel answered.

"Wow! This is too much" Carissa exclaimed.

Lola belen said, "it's a good thing your mother has not started cooking"

Just then, Elvira and Isabelle came in. Leonel walked towards her and greeted them. They walked to the dinning room and sat down. Carissa quickly went to the kitchen to get them plates. They said their prayers and ate the food.

Next day at the airport.

A man dressed in a black suit and he wore a black glasses walked with his luggage in his hand. Behind him was a beautiful young lady of about nineteen year. She wore a black leather jacket, black T-shirt, a black jean and a black boots. Her sunglasses blot out her eyes.

They were followed by security guards dressed in black. A black Maybach car was already waiting for them outside the airport. They climbed into the car and it drove off.

In the car.

The girl lie her head on the man's shoulder and hooked her arm around his. The man lowered his head to look at her and smiled. He placed his big hand on her head and stroke her hair. The girl raised her head to look at the man and said, "Daddy, now that we are back to the Philippines, I hope we find justice for mother's death.

The man turned his head to look at the girl. Smiling, he said, "Definitely, we will"

The girl smiled back and placed her head back on his shoulder.

Soon, they got home.

The maid came out of the mansion and helped them carry their luggages from the trunk.

"Carry them to my room" the girl commanded. The maids nodded and carried her luggages to her room. The girl turned to look at her father and said, "Dad, I really miss our house. It's still the same after all the years we have left" she looked around the living room and smiled, "I wish mom was still alive. Our family will be complete"

Tears trickled down her cheeks. She looked up and saw her mother's photo hang up on the wall. The man(Her father) walked up to her and patted her back. "It's okay. Do not cry anymore, okay? Didn't I tell you to be a strong girl?

The girl quickly wiped the tears and smiled, "Yes daddy"

The man patted her head gently and said, "Now go to your room and rest, okay?"

The girl nodded and went to her room.

Watching his daughter's back disappear out of the living room, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and made a call.

"I am back, so how is the situation over there?"

"Elvira and her family are leaving the house right now" the man at the other side said.

"Where are they going to?" he asked and sat on the chair.

"I don't know"

"Follow them. Don't lose sight of them, okay?"

"Yes" then the call ended.

On the other side.

The man threw his phone on the seat and fixed his gaze on Elvira and her family. He put on a baseball cap and a dark glasses so he won't be recognized by anybody.

Leonel helped Lola belen climbed into the back seat. Carissa, Dyosa and Isabelle climbed into the car with her. Elvira sat in the passenger seat. Leonel turned on the ignition and the car drove off. The man turned on the ignition and followed them.

Soon, they got to a restaurant.

Leonel parked the car at the parking lot and the man parked his own car at the other side and watched them enter the resturant. He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"They went to the restaurant, that's all"

"Okay" the man said and removed his jacket and placed it on the bed. He sat on the bed, lowered his head and pulled his shoe.

"I have another information for you"

"Go on"

"Leonel's grandma is living with them. She also came here with them"

The man at the other side face's lit up. He stood up from the bed and smiled. "That's very good" then he hung up the phone.
