The Skidding Car, Saved the Day.

Days passed as Lee got more familiar with his job. Adam helped him a lot to cope up with his job. They did patrol everyday and came across many situations.

Sometimes he had to pacify some angry people and mend things between them. He now knew that it was right to say this as a safe precinct.

But Lee gradually lost the feel he had, when he pursued to be a police officer. Not only that, he felt that he wouldn't be able to earn any rewards if days goes like this.

And all the skills he have are like cardboard skills, only to save it up but not use. Along with that he didn't even know for what the system is for. Cause after seeing a lockpicking skill he knew that it was not for him to be a police officer.

He was confused about many things like who was his fateful encounter and what help will Chief Han give him.

"Hey Lee, what are you thinking on. I feel that you are becoming disinterested more day by day."

Officer Adam was one who stayed with him almost everyday so he felt the gradual difference in Lee's mood.

Lee looked up and expressed, "I don't know, at first I was keen to be a police officer. But this was not what i wished. It feels a bit dull."

Adam chuckled and patted his shoulder, " hahah... You were thinking about life like criminal chase and catching thiefs. Well, I use to fantasize about it too but my time is over. All I want is now to feed my child and make them grow up into a responsible person."

"hmmm, yes kinda" Lee said but he thought, " But much more than that." Though he didn't say about it. Adam could guess.

Adam ould only sigh and walk around the streets. " Come lets go to one of my restaurant. They have good steaks there."

"Sure. Your treat, afterall you know my empty pocket.hahahh." Lee agreed. To which Adam felt that he shouldn't have asked.

Lee drove through till the central park and entered a small restaurant called Tuscany Steakhouse, which adam said served good food and called the waiter.

"New York Ribeye steak and a London Broil steak." Adam ordered the dishes. He felt like eating a a lot today and seeing Lee in a somewhat bad mood. So he order two good dish.

After some time, soon their order were brought.

"Help Yourself Lee. It taste really good. And my stomach expects from you a lot in future"

"Sure, mmmm it's surely good. So this was your original plan, to make me carve for this and empty my pockets.."

Adam chuckled, "Well I know you will earn a lot unlike me. After all I heard that you were in the top at the Training. It is a good remark in your file."

"Ok, lets eat fast and go for patrol. I have a meeting with my friend. So i plan to finish my work early today."

"Oh, is it boy or girl." Adam couldn't help but raised his head and asked Lee.

"You.. really... He is my roommate from the training academy."

Lee said and continued on eating. He found the steak to be good as he didn't have tasty meal for more than a year.

After Finishing up. They went to their car for the rounds.

As they reached the west 34th street. Suddenly voice came out from the police radio.

"Attention, a red Chev Malibu is speeding ahead on Times square 42nd street broadway heading towards the Hearald square."

Adam took the mic, "This is Officer Adam. I am on the 34th west street. How much time till they reach the square."

The voice over the radio said, "Approx 2 mins."

"Got, it." Adam then looked at Lee and nodded. " Lee speed up we won't be able to catch otherwise."

Lee looking at the new mission notification was excited, revved the car and headed towards the car.

As there were some cars so Adam turned on the siren. Lee after a min of driving neared the square, as he had to do a U - turn to get to the broadway. He cornered the car and pulled the handbrake. He then throttled the car making a wonderful long drift.

But as he was about to continue and turn to the broadway he saw that a lady with a baby on a stroller was crossing by the road.

"Lee ... brake brake. goddamit we are dead." Adam sweared.

Lee braked the car and turned the car a bit, but as he did and saved the lady by making past her. Lee lost the control of the car and the car fishtailed.

"Don't worry, almost in controll...."

Lee tried to bring it in control as the car skidded and did a spinout before finally bring it into control.

But before they could relax a red car was speeding up from the broadway and soon crashed with their car. The driver of the red car tried to stop but as the car was too fast they couldn't stop.

They felt an impact on the side as both car crashed though they were not harmed or in dangerous conditions, the car were dented

"We are gonna be fired. A police car doing a drift. Lee we have to give a serious explanation later on." Adam lamented as he shouldn't have told Lee too speed up.

But as Adam was continuing on. He heard Lee, " ummm what was the car and its colour."

"Why, forget about the car, we are in problem Lee... damn my shoulder is in pain." Adam groaned.

"Hey was it red chev malibu and isn't the car just beside us."

"What.. where." Adam turned to check the car and saw that it was the same car as described on the radio.

"Ahemm. Officer Adam there was no accident we just crashed with the pursuit car to stop it.. That's what happened. right.."

"Yaa sure it is." Adam was shocked too after that he saw that driver was unconscious but the front passenger was getting out of the car and trying to run.

"I will catch him you check on the driver." without needing Adam to say he got off the car and slided over the police car bonnet. He then did a quadrupedal jump over the red chevrolet.

Lee after jumping over the car chased the man and as Lee was fast he soon reached him. Lee then reached and grabbed the man's shoulder and kicked him in the leg causing the man to fall on his back to the ground.

Lee soon took out a handcuff and cuffed him in a stack over position to restrict his hand movement.

Adam too came out the car and checked on the driver, who turned to have fainted due to the collison. Adam brought the fainted person out off the car and laid him on the ground

Soon police siren were heard and two police car come and stop. The officers than took both person inside the car after waking up the fainted person.

"Good job officer Adam for catching them. You really did a huge favour to us." A police officer came up to them and thanked.

"*Ding*

[Tutorial Task III- Complete]"

Lee heard the mission completion sound and thought it was not the right place to get the reward.

Lee and Adam then looked at their wrecked car and kindly reminded the police officer to report their heroic deeds and how they did.

"Don't worry we know you had to crash to them otherwise they would have ran away. I will report it to your favour."

The police officer told them they would report it as they ask. Otherwise When they reach station and the chief hears about their car. They will surely be punished. And the worst might be salary deducted.

"Oh officer Williams, can get us a lift to the station." Adam said to one of the police officer as he knew him. The police officer looked not much older than Lee.

"Come and get in then. So, who is this, your new colleague. " Williams saw Lee and asked Adams as he never saw him.

"Oh. He is Lee just joined a week ago." Adam said to williams.

Lee and Adam got into the car and soon reached the station. Adam then went to report of the condition of the car.

"Thankfully we are saved as the criminals were important. Lee from next time please don't get me a heartattack.

Lee just laughed it off. As he finally felt good as he felt the excitement of speeding car and catching the criminals. He knew that he needed this kind of life not one of daily patrol.

But he is really helpless cause he would need atleast 2 years to be a detective or someone of important.
