Chapter 7

Bea POV

All I could think about is that I have to tell Zul all about the haunted beach.

"Well let's go to a haunted beach-" I could see her mouth opening up as I put my hand up to interrupt her.

" and before you say no just hear me out ok".

I could hear her groan before I could even start my story.

" So first, the story of this beach comes from the 1900s. When a young girl by the name of Beth stumbled upon this beach it was a secret hideaway for cults and demon worshipers but no one knew the dark history of this beach until it was too late and it claimed the lives of many. But beth had stumbled to this beach during a drunken night and she was walking dragging her feet as she sang a sad song for the woman she loved but lost that night she never came back and on full moons like tonight they say you can still hear her song and it's been pulling broken men and women to the ocean like a siren for years. But the next story is even worse a beautiful woman built a house on the cliff the overlooks the beach she loved to hold her son but one day she heard him talking to himself in the corner of the study she listened and what she heard was odd he kept repeating mother knows best mother knows best this went on for years and as the boy aged he grew more insane he began to draw things that made no sense and he wrote inconsistently his notebooks were filled with words of threats against himself and against others but after a while, he went missing and the mother grew lonely and started to hear voices it told her lies of where her son was it told her the bottom of the sea was where he would be the mother fought the voices but soon they consumed her but before she could end it all she heard one last voice it was her son he walked through the door his eyes black and dripping with blood as he held up a knife as if he was being controlled by something and he said a chilling thing before killing his mother that thing was beth is my mother now and you are the new spirit of the forbidden beach."

Azulia Pov

I sat down, staring in shock at Bea. Trying to calm myself down with each word that came out of her mouth to someone else only she could turn a campfire story into a whole movie with words. Only she, the little devil with the cute smile could turn something beautiful such as a beach and Mermaids into something sinister. I was slowly starting to regret coming on this trip as my heart fell to my stomach. I quickly became queazy as the red soup that had been placed in front of me started to resemble that of blood and guts. Disgust coated my face in a fright. The smile that Bea gave out only seemed like a challenge as I broke it down.

There was no way that she would be eating the soup if it was blood there's no way a creature that doesn't exist could do that to a person. Ghost, poltergeist, and the almighty Demon weren't real at least not in this time and world. I had slowly started to calm myself down as I continued on. Also, what is a mentally ill man and his mother doing living on the hill that doesn't mean anything? I mean who is mentally stable right now with the world going on the way it is. Plus, why does that make him crazy or BROKEN he could just be stressed or depressed?

I mean I work hard and have notebooks filled with words and( sum) thoughts that are a little too private to share. Maybe he was a sadist or it was just a way of relief. I mean it kinda likes the hit your boss song I mean is the creator of that game a mentally ill person. NO, he's a rich man. And BEth, Smeath I Mean who would be afraid of a person named Beth. The only thing, a woman named Beth would do is kill you with kindness. I chuckled a little before sighing and watching as Bea ate her soup and even ordered seconds. It was then that I finally took a bite, feeling confident as I smiled back at Bea who had obviously lost.
