"Whether you want to get hurt by the words I say or not, that's your issue, not mine," Regan shrugged. "I can't account for your heart, you know."

Ryder pulled closer to her, his eyes lowering to her lips. "Such a tease," he muttered, his voice dropped to a whisper.

Regan's eyes followed his, dragged along for some reason. Her head shifted back a bit as he neared. Her eyes fluttered up to meet his, the emerald glow was dazed but right before contact, he pulled away, turning around completely and standing up.

"Not as much of a tease as me," he smirked. 

Regan rolled her eyes. "And that's supposed to be a good thing?"

Ryder chuckled, stretching, "Don't be mad now, you did it to me first."

He smiled when he watched the pout form on her face. His fingers brushed against his lips. It was tingling.
