The shadow

The plan was to destroy everyone who was involved in her scemes. First,the maid who helped her sneak mysterious powders into Wan Wan's food was killed and her body fed to the royal lion.

Secondly,the spy who helped her seek information about the abandoned daughter was slain and was thrown away somewhere where no one could see him.

And finally,the unknown daughter of the Lou family who was thrown away because of the dark attribute she possessed unknowingly getting that from her father.

After bribing the innocent soul,Li xia was able to get spells which were forbidden to use and abandoned by all.

And atlast her witnesses were erased but the emperor's life wasn't in the plan at all.'Might've been someone else who seeked revenge' Li xia thought.

Li xia focused on the situation that was unfolding right in front of her with a slight doubt that someone else was snooping around.

"Tell the knights to inspect the place and bring the body here and inform me when you're done"Lou mon sighed as he dismissed the people and escorted Li xia to her chambers before going to wan wan's chamber to spend the night.

Li xia glanced behind as she whistled softly for only one to hear.A shadow appeared seconds after,waiting for his master to speak first.

"Tell me,what did you find?"Li xia sat down as she asked, waiting for the shadow to speak.

"Reporting to master,Li xiao was seen joining the crowd with some friends before running away to a place this shadow could not detect"Li xia glanced before smirking.

"Who are those friends you speak of?"In order to ruin one's life,you have to slay the people beside them first.

"A boy who looks to be the same age as her,another boy who's the same age as emperor mon and a woman who might be in her 20s or so"The shadow spoked,not missing a word as if he feared that his master might dislike it.

"Let's proceed to the side plan first,you however will have to follow them.Inform me where they live and so on"Li xia smiled as she opened a book,not bothered by the sound of pouring rain outside.

The shadow disappeared and a day passed on just like that.

The sun shone bright and the wind was perfectly fine.

"Wifey,we're going on a date right?"Su xi looked at Li xiao as he smiled.Li xiao nodded as she sighed.'well it was supposed to be this month's shopping but well we can mix the date in'.

"Well let's go then"Li xiao lifted her hand as if waiting for Su xi to grab hold of it.Su xi grabbed the hand and walked besides Li xiao.

Seeing the fact that he was still shorter than her even though they were the same age had him thought twice.

In the end,Su xi could only wait until the end of the date so that he could start his goal to be taller than Li xiao.

At the market where there were tons and tons of people due to the fact that they had more foreigner stuff,Su xi held on to Li xiao's hand for dear life in hopes to not be separated

Li xiao however,looked around as if searching for someone. To her,someone or something has been following them from the beginning when they entered the market to now.

"Su xi,this might be a more thriller date than i imagined but make sure to hold on tight,ok?"Li Xiao asked him as they sped up,avoiding the shoulders of the crowds.

"Ok?"Su xi was confused as to what she meant but if it means getting closer to his wife,he would totally hold on.

"Welp then here we go ''Li xiao pulled Su xi's hand and carried him in bridal style.Seeing as to what had happened,not only the shadow but Su xi was also shocked to the point his ears turned red.

"We...i...this.."Li xiao looked at the blushing boy as he tried to speak and whispered.

"Well this does count as a date right?"Li xiao teased the poor soul before dashing away with the shadow still on their tail.

The shadow zoomed behind and tried to use his magic to slow the other party down but failed because Li ciao managed to dodge all of them.

The chase didn't stop until Li xiao reached a dead end,a cliff far more deep than how it looked.

"Well this is awkward"Li xiao turned around to see the shadow stepping close.She smiled as she glanced below.

"Well we finally met"The shadow spoked as he stepped more closer,narrowing the gap between them.

"Li xia has been talking about you for quite a while now"Li xiao only glanced up to hear that name as she smirked.'the fact that the shadow exposed the mastermind behind this chase means that the shadow is sure to win'.

 "Well that's your first mistake"Li xiao summoned her sword while the Shadow immediately attacked after seeing the summoned sword appearing before Li xiao's hand.

Knowing that the shadow only had dark attributes,Li xiao took the advantage to fill her sword with light attributes to lessen the fighting time.

"Umm..can you put me down?"Su xi asked as he looked up only to see li xiao smile.

"Well I can't cause if you want the person you love to stay safe, you have to keep them close no matter what"Hearing those words,Su xi held on to her tighter than before.

The dark and light mana clashed as the shadow stepped back,only to see Li xiao in the same position.

"I assume that you are an immortal?"Li xiao only smirked as she heard that and charged forward.

"Well,you might be right or wrong"Seeing that the opponent answered with neither,The shadow only frowned.

"But i'm curious as to whether you are a human or a creature?"Before the shadow could blink,Li xiao was already beside him.Restraining him by absorbing some of his attributes and letting poiz bite him with venom.

"You!?"The venom will surely kill the shadow and similar to what Li xia had thought,Li xiao muttered.

"Someone who is close to the enemy must be killed so that the enemy will suffer more"Li xiao made sure that the shadow was dead before absorbing all of his attributes,leaving him nothing even if he had a slight chance of survival.

"Wifey,how the heck did you do all of those with me occupying your left arm?!"Su xi was in shock as the event before him was one to watch since he had a front row seat.

"Well it's called practise and since we shook the shadow off,might as well shop before the sun goes down"Li xiao smiled as Su xi was still in her embrace.

Poiz rested on her shoulders before disguising himself as a scarf and chilled there for the rest of the day.
