Ruthlessness

Makarov knew how powerful he was. He had always felt like it was a waste for Shun to not be an official S-Rank Mage. He was as powerful as Makarov. Makarov had observed him these 4 years, he mostly made logical decisions. He had a calm mindset who wouldn't bother anyone. He had the general qualities to be an S-Rank Mage all along.

The Armour on Erza's body changed because of her re-equip magic. In front of Shun stood Erza with her Flame Empress Armour. She said with a resolute tone, "Back away… You still aren't an S-Rank Mage."

Shun raised his brow after she wore that Flame Empress Armour, "You think that weak armour can block my Azure Flames?"

With an incredibly arrogant expression, she replied, "This armour reduces the destructive power of your Flames by 50%."

"I know about that. But how does that help you?" He asked in a genuinely interested tone.

"How does that help me? Only 50% of your Flame attack will hit me. The other 50% won't affect me."

Shun started laughing out loud as he pointed at her, "Do you all listen to this woman… She makes such a good joke."

"You have really entertained me with just a good joke. In return for entertaining me, I won't kill you. Clench your teeth… I don't want to listen to a screaming harlot."

A blue ball of Azure Flame was formed in Shun's hand. It looked incredibly puny and weak. Erza felt like she didn't even need her Flame Empress Armour to take it on.

"I am sure Master Makarov would throw me out of the guild because of attacking you with such an attack. So, I will request you in his presence, get out of my way before you feel like your body has been torn apart into pieces."

Makarov was just about to declare what Shun had mentioned. He was tight-lipped now… He never expected Shun to anticipate it and use it against Erza.

Erza… being the arrogant woman she was, she spoke out loud, "Master, please don't intervene. I will put him into place today. Let me show him that we have all gotten stronger since that time when he beat Laxus."

"Thanks for the confirmation Erza. Master Makarov, you can't throw me out of the Guild since Erza is pretty much willing to take on this attack. Not my fault when someone is volunteering to be beaten to a pulp."

Master Makarov could do nothing but stay at his position with a wide-eyed expression. He never imagined that this was the way the situation would develop.

Finally, Shun looked into Erza's eyes and spoke with a terrifyingly calm voice, "I have also had it enough with you. You seem to intervene in Natsu and Gray's sparring with the excuse that guild members shouldn't fight against each other while proceeding to have a fight with Mira. Even when you intervene in Natsu and Gray's fight, you just beat them to a pulp. Your false sense of following the rules has gone long enough. Pray to whatever god you believe in… ask him to take pity on you when you are near your death bed because I won't, you hypocritical woman…"

He threw the Azure Ball of Fire at Erza. The small ball's speed was so fast that Erza couldn't dodge it. She braced herself for the incoming attack and placed a lot of her magic in defending against it.

The Ball struck her armour, and nothing happened for a second. Just as she was about to breathe a sigh of relief, the Azure Ball of Fire started expanding.

It expanded just enough to cover Erza's whole body in the sphere.

It was then that Erza felt it. The heat was strong enough to melt her brains. Her Flame Empress Armour seemed to be working as it reduced the temperature by half, but it was still enough to make her feel like she would die.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..." Her loud scream shook the Guild Members. It was the first time they had heard her scream like that.

"I took that attack when I was 5 years old. Zagnivol hit me with this attack every day until I didn't feel anything… When you are capable of shrugging off such an attack, you can think about getting in my way."

Wendy closed her eyes as she didn't want to see Erza's screaming face. Soon enough, Erza felt her Flame Empress Armour was melting off. She screamed even louder as the molten metal touched her skin, "AAAAHHHHHHH…"

"Heh? That Flame Empress Armour even melted? Wasn't it supposed to reduce my Fire's destructive power by 50%? Make sure to sue whoever made that armour. It seems they lied to you."

His cheerful voice was a clear contrast to the situation. There was not one person in the guild who could stay calm about this situation.

Some even started shouting out loud, "Stop it! She is in pain! Stop this, you demon!"

Mirajane and Wendy were forced to be silent. Just what could they do about this situation? Mira decided to shout out loud, "Shun, stop this. I think she has had enough by now."

Shun acted as if he didn't hear their words.

Strangely enough, Gildarts never shouted at Shun to stop this. He continued to stare with a grim expression, though.

Erza's screams soon stopped. Not because Shun stopped dispersing his magic but because she was unconscious now.

"She has lost consciousness because of the pain? I guess now, this attack won't matter." In around a minute, he dispersed the attack.

The Fairy Tail members were staring at him with hatred in their eyes, "You bastard! Why did you do that!? Do you find it fun to torture other guild members!?"

Shun though smiled ferally, "Torture? No, this wasn't torment. That was just Erza being a nice Volunteer. Didn't you hear her words before those screams?"

"You monster!"

Many people in the Guild started to curse him. Elfman, Lisanna was also in the guild, but there was little they could do.

They both stayed silent, but they were visibly displeased by this action from Shun. Gray was dumbfounded at how ruthless he was, and he soon joined the other members in asking questions from him loudly.

Wilson didn't look like he cared at all about Erza. He still had that same expression as before. Carla was shocked at how ruthless he was. She had seen how much Shun cared for Wendy. This is an entirely new side from Shun.

Happy was together with Gray as they kept on shouting at Shun.

Only Natsu was the one who took one step towards Shun with fire in his eyes. He spoke out with an angry voice, "Shun… What you did just now. What excuse do you have for that?"
