Chapter One hundred seventy-eight: The Revelation

"So what do you want to tell me?" I asked her the moment I sat down across her seat inside the coffee shop. I've already ordered some drinks and pastries before walking to her chosen table.

She lowered her gaze and I frowned when she sighed.

"Sam..." Fidgeting her fingers, she then started opening her mouth but then stopped and sighed again.

"I won't eat you, I'm not a monster, Lucy," I tried to throw a joke to lighten her mood because I noticed how tense she was in her seat.

"I'm sorry for all the things I've done to you..."

I took a deep breath. I didn't expect to hear those words from her.

"If you're only here to apologize, then I forgive you. The damage has been done and there is nothing I can do about it anymore."

"No! You should fix your relationship!"
