The moment we all finished taking our baths, we fell asleep so quickly we did not even realize we fell asleep.
"Hyla, wake up" said Grey as he shook me by my shoulder.
"What? I just managed to fall asleep" I said as I threw the pillow over my head in an attempt to block out the light and the noise.
"Can you not be stupid?" asked Grey annoyed.
"Dude!!!"
"It's way past nine already and you two fools are refusing to wake up" screamed Grey.
"What!!" I screamed as I was startled by the sudden revelation. "How's it way past nine?" I asked as I grabbed my phone hurriedly to check the time, staring at the time on my phone I was now fully awake because it was almost nine thirty.
Grey just looked at me and began shaking his heads like he felt sorry for me for some reason.
Getting up from bed, I moved to wake Enri because he said something about having somewhere important to be.
"Enri wake up" I shouted in his ears.
"I just said I want to sleep" cried Enri like a child.
"Sure, when you are dead and also didn't you say something about having somewhere to be or someone to meet?" I asked.
"Damn, I totally forgot" screamed Enri as he jumped off his bunk.
He did not bother saying anything again he just simply dashed to the bathroom mumbling a bunch of things.
"What's wrong with him?" asked Grey.
"How the hell am I supposed to know?" I replied.
"Don't be an ass" said Grey before he left.
…
"Hey guys, I will not attend class today can you guys help me with your notes" said Enri as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Sure, but you have to tell us what's going on" I said.
"I will tell you guys about it later" he said as he paced to his wardrobe to pick out which clothes to wear.
"Ok"
"Alright I'm gone" he said as walked out the room.
[The character view is now from Enri's point of view]
"I really hate today" I muttered as I headed down the building.
Ring ring,
"Hello who is this?" I said as I answered the call.
"Good morning Young master, it's Carl" came the reply from the other end of the call.
"I'm on my way" I hurriedly replied.
"The Master already sent a car to pick you up at school" said Carl just as quickly afraid I might hang up. "Please wait for the car to pick you up" pleaded Carl.
"Fine but I'll be at the school gate, I don't want to draw attention to myself" I said as I hung up.
It took me half an hour to get to the school gate where a beautiful BMW M5, with a starting price of about $104,495, a true luxurious vehicle waiting outside. A small crowd had slowly started to gather at the school gate.
Ducking I put on my face cap as made my way towards the waiting car. The before I even got to the halfway point the chauffeur had already exited the car to open the door for me.
"Good morning, Young Master Enri" greeted the Chauffeur.
Nodding I simply entered the car.
"I really hate this" I said as I sat down.
"Do you know what I'm supposed to do today?" I asked the Chauffeur.
"Not a clue Young master but Mr. Carl said to take you to the restaurant Terra Kulture" replied the chauffeur.
"Ok"
We drove off, it took almost an hour because the traffic was bad we arrived at the restaurant not too late.
At the entrance of the restaurant were delicately trimmed flowers which formed a small fence around the entrance, it was a luxurious building with African styled interior design using beautiful wood.
Walking to the end of the hallway, I entered a private room with guards outside it, obviously that was the room my father was eating inside the man knew nothing about keeping a low profile.
"Looks like my son is here" said Enri's father as he stepped into the room.
My father, Mr. Gregory Strong the owner of Raven Corporation, the most powerful man in the country sitting there laughing nobody would believe me if I told them that man was my father.
"Good morning dad" I greeted as I took my seat at the table.
"It's good you made it, let me introduce you to my old friend here Mr. Tony Reed owner of Reed Enterprise and his beautiful daughter Samantha" introduced my father with a smile on his face as if saying don't you dare mess this up, "This is my son Enri".
"Nice to meet you" I said as politely as I could while ignoring him. He has been trying to set me up with different people since I turned sixteen, now it was really annoying.
"It nice to finally meet you son, your father always talks about you" said Mr. Tony smiling. He was a well-built man for someone his age I estimate him being in his late forties but he looked like someone in his mid-thirties.
"Only good things I hope" asked Enri giving his father a suspicious glare.
"Yes, plus I always wanted to meet the man who will get married to my daughter" said Mr. Tony.
"What!!" I exclaimed before turning to look at my father who turned away.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Your father and I already arranged this marriage for you when you guys were little kids but because of the business we had to travel a lot so you guys did not have a chance to know each other" he said, "That's not a problem anymore since we just move back to the country and Samantha will be transferring to your school which will give you two a lot of time to know each other" he continued as if that explained everything.
"There's no need to worry about anything, we will talk about this later" whispered Enri's father.
"uh…"
"Don't worry boy, we just wanted the both of you to meet each other for now but we still have business" said Mr. Tony, "So, how about you show her around the city" offered Mr. Tony.
"Yeah, that's a good idea you should take one of my cars outside" said my father.
"Sure" I replied smiling.
"Shall we?" I asked Samantha standing up.
"I would like that" she said in a sweet voice causing my mind to suddenly go blank. It was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard, she sounded like a celestial from the heavens.
"Okay, it's settled take any car" said my father.
"We'll see you guys later" I said.
We both walked out of the room, as I led her outside in silence mostly because I did not know what to say.
"Young master" greeted the chauffeur seeing me walk come outside.
"Give me the car keys" I said, "my father already gave his permission" I said seeing his hesitation.
"Yes, Young master" said the Chauffeur as he handed the keys over.
Turning to look at Samantha who put on very casual clothes and still looked stunning.
"Where do you want to go to?" I asked.
"Well I don't know anywhere good around here, so I think it's better if you handle that" she replied as she flashed me a resplendent smile.
"Alright let's go" I said.
Entering the car, I drove off giving her a short and quick tour in the car as we passed by places while she just looked out the window not saying anything. It was very boring doing all the talking.
She just occasionally chatted on her phone so I just kept quiet as I noticed that it was definitely going nowhere.
I drove in silence all the way to Lake Vincent, it was a place I liked going to whenever I needed to clear my head or just catch a breather.
"Where are we?" She asked as I parked.
"Lake Vincent" I simply replied.
"Oh… so we can finally talk" she said.
"Yeah, what do you want to say?" I asked.
"Look, you are a really nice guy" said Samantha "but I don't care about that, I don't know what you think about this so-called marriage and I also don't care, I only want you to stay out of my way" she said sounding as if I was her greatest enemy who she came face to face with.
"What?" I said stunned by the sudden transformation from beauty to the bitch.
"Listen to me carefully stupid, I don't care about this marriage or whatever" replied Samantha, "I only attended this lunch because of my dad" she said.
"Well excuse you, but who do you think you are?" asked Enri rhetorically "Look, I did not even know about you or this so called arranged marriage so you don't have to talk to me in such a manner" he said.
"Look at who's speaking? The son who left home because he wanted to try something different on his own but still has his father clean up after him" said Samantha spitefully.
"Why are you bringing that up? That's none of your business" said Enri who was getting angry at the beauty in front of him who had completely changed from a fairy into a devil.
"Did you really think I would not know about you and how you left home" she said, "oh, what a fool you are?" she said.
"Watch your words" warned Enri who was on the verge of exploding from rage.
"Get a hold on yourself do you think you would be who you were now if not for your father?" asked Samantha. "I don't care about what you were thinking when you first saw me, maybe you thought this arranged marriage could workout but it would be better if you figure out your shit and get over your rebellious phase and face the fact that no matter what you do you'll always be the son of a billionaire" she said before storming off.
I stood rooted to the floor unable to say anything and just watched her as she left, mostly because what she said might be right.
At the age of thirteen, I left home with nothing but my savings which was way more than that of other kids my age even a grown man who worked hard right after graduation would not even have that kind of money even after working for four years straight without spending a dime. I just upped and left trying to figure out who I was without the riches and my father's influence.
After doing all of that, I was still just the son of a billionaire who was given everything he could ever wanted and was still not satisfied with all of that, maybe I was just afraid of accepting who I was or even trying to deny who I was.
This was how I questioned myself every day I woke up after turning thirteen, my father had already arranged for my education even though I already left home the only thing he was not able to control were the jobs I worked to earn my money and the fact that I applied to another university and got a full scholarship.
Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath in as if afraid I would never be able to breathe again. Clearing my mind of all thoughts I opened my eyes and just stared at the lake.
…
"Blue, how is it going?" asked Hyla as he strolled.
"Honestly not great at all" replied, "It seems as if all trace of it does not exist but that should be impossible" he said as he took another puff from his pipe.
"Keep trying" urged Hyla, "How's my stat?" asked Hyla as he gazed into the distance.
"It's looking good, steady improvements everyday" said Blue.
"that's a relief"
