The entire place immediately became quiet and the person that broke the silence was Lady Wendy herself and my oh my was she fuming mad.

"Engagement! There's no way I'm getting engaged to anybody!" she yelled.

"Relax my dear daughter, you know I love you too much to hurt you and I guaranty you that you will only receive the best" said Lord Harlo as he patted Wendy on her head.

"Father I don't want to get married with someone I don't know or love" she said as she held back tears.

"if that is why you're scared, then you shouldn't" replied Lord Harlo as he laughed, "Your fiancé is someone you know pretty well" he said.

"Who is that?" she asked as she stared down at the other tables in front of ours.

"There's no need to look down there or that far, can't you see that he's sitting right next to Kane?" he asked as he laughed.
