The Start
Ging and Hicks fly out of the forest and meet up with everyone that's left.
(Hicks)
"Everyone alright?"
Hicks looks around and sees that Lang and Aer are injured and haven't been treated. Hicks points at the guard.
(Hicks)
"You, you will go back and inform the king that there is a titan class demon beast, we will camp out here so that you can return with some troops and medical supplies, I can supply some energy to keep them from dying"
(Guard)
"Yes sir, I'll come back as soon as possible, it should only take a few hours"
The guard quickly leaves flying back to the palace. Hicks puts down Xho and drags him into a bush. Ging puts Chu into a bush as well hopefully keeping them hidden
(Aer)
"Hicks, what are we gonna do?"
(Hicks)
"Stay hidden, he said it'll only be a few hours. Put put Lang in a bush, grab onto one of my shoulders. I can use my energy to hide our presence"
(Ging)
"How did you learn that?"
(Hicks)
"It's something I picked up from my Pavilion"
*Thanks man*
(Argent)
"No problem, you guys will be safe until the guard comes back. You were lucky enough to have such a person with amazing bow skills"
A few hours pass and horses can be heard in the distance, sounds of wheels rolling and thunderous foot steps. Hicks emerges from the bush and sees many heavenly soldiers along with catapults. There are at least 50 soldiers and 3 catapults. There are horsemen riding at the side of the army, at least 14, 7 at each side. At the front of the army is a man riding a horse he is wearing bright yellow armor , possibly made from gold, the man sees Hicks emerging from the bush and rushes over. He is most likely the leader of this group
(Hicks)
"Kuol!! It's you!!"
(Kuol)
"Young Master!! Where is your group?!?"
Hicks drags each of them out of the bushes, they are all passed out from exhaustion and their extreme injuries. Kuol puts a hand towards them and a green aura emits from it
(Kuol)
"Medicine God's Blessing!!"
The aura goes onto each member of the group and they all heal. Hicks looks at his once scratched up hands and notices they healed.
(Kuol)
"Now where is this titan"
(Hicks)
"Don't bother going into the forest I'll tell you where it's home is"
Hicks points into the forest
(Hicks)
"10 clicks that way"
(Kuol)
"So far!! How did you escape?"
(Hicks)
"No time for questions, you know what to do"
The 3 catapults go to the front of the forest and aim where Hicks pointed. The men manning the catapults start putting energy int the gears of the catapult. When they launch the catapults the boulders they shot go flying, farther than any normal catapult
(Argent)
"Humans have become so creative! Using their energy to speed up the gears and making it go faster!"
[thats probably not how that works but hey, I'm no engineer]
When the boulders land they crest a large crash sound. After a few seconds of silence there is a huge roar. Then loud stomping sounds that keep getting ever closer. Everyone retreats farther away from the forest preparing for battle. The soldiers prepare the catapults and as soon as the Huo tiger appears they launch the boulders at it knocking it to the floor
(Kuol)
"Now's the time!!"
Kuol's hand starts emitting a purple aura and starts running at the tiger, he then jumps and brings his hand down upon the tigers head to cut it off. Then the purple aura extends making it look like a large blade. Kuol cuts off the tigers head and the tiger is defeated. Kuol notices a fist mark in the Huo tiger's cheek.
(Kuol)
"Young Master Hicksbess, who punches the tiger?"
(Hicks)
"I did, so I could help get Ging and the twins out of its cave"
(Kuol)
"Did it not attack you when you tried to leave?"
(Hicks)
"I punched it and it's head slammed into a wall disorienting it"
(Kuol)
"You can have this Huo Tiger, do with it what you wish, we will help everyone that is injured and wait for you"
(Argent)
"Hey remember that absorbing technique I taught you!"
(Hicks)
*Yeah why?*
(Argent)
"Rip open that tiger's skull, there is a stone attached to its brain"
(Hicks)
*Why did you ask about that one technique?"
(Argent)
"I was just wondering"
Hicks walks up to the tiger's large head and sticks his arm into its eye socket. His arm goes right though the eye and as he is reaching inside he feels something hard, he grabs it and pulls it out, it is a hell stone. The stone is a bright red and is emitting a slight heat.
(Hicks)
"So what do I do with this?"
(Argent)
"Eat it"
(Hicks)
"Ew what the hell, it's covered in blood and brain bits I'm not going to eat it!!!"
(Argent)
"Fine, it will give you amazing pyro kinetic abilities but whatever"
(Hicks)
"Ew I can't believe I'm going to do this"
(Argent)
"You know what, I'm going to make things easier for you and change up your DNA!"
(Hicks)
"The hells a DNA"
(Argent)
"Oh don't worry about, future stuff"
(Hicks)
"Wait you know about the future!?"
Hicks suddenly feels a weird tingle throughout his body but mainly on his taste buds
(Hicks)
"Uuuaah what the hell did you do to me!"
(Argent)
"Oh I just made it so raw meat tastes good to you and when you eat rocks they taste like candy. I also made it so that you can eat and digest rocks"
(Hicks)
"What the fu-"
(Argent)
"You know, I'm not supposed to be meddling with your body but I'm bored so yeah. Now eat the damn rock"
Hicks puts the hell stone to his mouth and takes a bite, he chews it and then swallows.
(Hicks)
"Ugh it tastes like one of those hard candies but it's spicy!"
Hicks continues to eat it and when he is done he just sits down
(Hicks)
"Damnit why didn't I bring water"
(Ging)
"Hey I've noticed you were talking to yourself the whole time you were over here, and why is your arm so bloody?"
(Hicks)
"Don't worry about, let's go home. Today was a long day"
(Ging)
"The day isn't even over yet, anyway, Lang has a ton of infections from his wounds so he might not make it"
(Hicks)
"Honestly I don't care"
(Argent)
"That's very rude"
(Hicks)
*I actually do care but that hell stone just took away all my energy, I can't tell them that though. I should just say I'm exhausted from escaping the tiger that I can't do anything*
"I'm too exhausted can we just go back to the palace, the sooner we get back the higher chance Lang has to survive"
(Ging)
"Yeah, you're right"
When everyone was ready to leave Ging carried Lang and flew to the palace. Everyone else was with the soldiers and Kuol.
When they arrived at the palace Ging had told the group that Lang died from the infections in his wounds, he also had a severe burn on his back, it wasn't visible.
Everyone got patched up and Lang has a funeral, the group went to his funeral and the only person that went other than them was his father. Hicks, was the last to leave the funeral and when he did it was already late.
(Argent)
"You failed him, it happens"
(Hicks)
"I was the leader, it was my job to make sure we all came back. We lost Lang and a guard"
(Argent)
"Don't worry about that, just get ready for the challenge tomorrow"
(Hicks)
"Yeah, you're right"
Hicks went into his courtyard and went to sleep. As soon as he heard the servants roaming around the palace preparing everything he got out of bed and started stretching.
(Argent)
"Why are you up so early, even the servants just arrived"
(Hicks)
"I don't know, I just... need to let off some steam"
(Argent)
"Hmm, it's Lang isn't it. I guess I should show you what ability you got from that hell stone. Climb to the top of the palace, at the tippity top"
Without question Hicks runs out of his courtyard and starts flying to the top of the palace. He lands at the top
(Argent)
"Put both your hands in the air"
Hicks does and wonders what's going on
(Argent)
"This ability you have, allows you to summon fire at will"
(I've been watching a lot of Avatar: The last Airbender)
"Now just imagine fire shooting out of your hands"
(Hicks)
"This sounds stupid"
(Argent)
"Use your anger and summon fire out of your hands"
Hicks takes a deep breath and let's out a loud yell
(Hicks)
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Fire starts shooting out of Hicks' hand and the burst of fire just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Once the fire is as wide as the palace he stops. Smoke fills the air as all the servants look in the air shocked as to what happened. They didn't see Hicks but saw the huge amounts of fire. Even the people in the outer walls saw the huge blast.
(Argent)
"You had a lot to let out, didn't you"
(Hicks)
"Don't patronize me, the Challenge for Family Head is today"
