"Huangjin, darling… What took you so long over here?" Ying Yue's voice sounded seductive, completely surprising Fei Huangjin.

Though he had wished his secretary would come over and pull him out of this sticky situation, he did not expect her to sidle up and rub herself against him, acting like the jealous girlfriend he didn't have. Her breasts were pushed against his arm, lush and soft. He could feel a certain part of him start to rise up and harden…

He looked down at her with his eyebrows raised, unsure what to say, willing his rod to relax.

Ying Yue told herself to stay calm. Her boss didn't seem to grasp her idea--either that or he wasn't on board with it. But to hell with what he thinks. She's already started the act; she wasn't going to let Fei Huangjin embarrass her here.

She pouted and widened her own eyes, acting like a wounded puppy. "I'm sorry darling, was I intruding?" She glanced warily at the woman in red, pouted, and looked back at Fei Huangjin.

Liu Meiqing looked her up and down. Who was this woman? Why was she calling CEO Fei "darling?" Her dress looked so ordinary and although she had a ring on her finger, it was so… small. Would a rich man like Fei Huangjin really propose with that kind of ring? Her face contorted to one of displeasure. She heard that Fei Huangjin never dated, so what was he doing with this kind of woman?

Fei Huangjin seemed to have recovered from his initial surprise, followed Ying Yue's line of sight to where Meiqing was standing, and glanced back at her on his arm. He noticed the tiny diamond ring on her finger and smirked. The diamond didn't even look real to him.

It was then that he fully understood what his secretary was trying to do. She was acting like his girlfriend. It was a good idea actually, since Liu Meiqing's brazenness made it quite unlikely that she would back down without a fight.

He put a hand over Ying Yue's grip on his arm. His normally expressionless eyes took some warmth, and he glanced at her apologetically, dropping his voice into a gentler tone. "Darling, forgive me, time seemed to fly while I was talking to Mayor Liu here." He gestured to the very surprised-looking mayor and smiled. "Mayor Liu, this is my girlfriend."

It took a moment of silence before he replied.

"CEO Fei's woman is very lovely." The mayor smiled slightly but his eyes betrayed his disappointment. This only made Ying Yue smile even brighter.

"Thank you, Mayor Liu. It's my honor to meet the man who made A city progress twice over in just four years. After the urban development project, what's your next plan?" She cocked her head at him, enjoying the role-playing.

The mayor seemed to brighten at the compliment and the turn of conversation. He realized that this woman seemed very educated. Quite a match with CEO Fei, after all. "Well, the council and I…" He rattled on passionately with Ying Yue acting like she was listening--when in reality, she was tuning him out and focusing instead on what the woman in red was trying to say to Huangjin.

"CEO Fei, I wasn't aware you were seeing anyone." Meiqing didn't sound too happy with the turn of events. She was here solely to catch CEO Fei's eye, but who knew he would choose today to bring a date? She laughed awkwardly, her hands clasped in front of her, making her look a bit more innocent than a while ago.

Fei Huangjin glanced at Ying Yue who was keeping the mayor occupied and put on a small smile. "We try to keep the relationship as quiet as we can. We both don't like being caught in the media."

Liu Meiqing's face faltered at his words.

Ying Yue chose that moment to glance at him briefly and was surprised by the look on her boss's face. It looked a lot like he was doting on her. It looked almost genuine. Was she just imagining this? She blinked a few times and shuddered involuntarily.

He frowned, pulling her closer to him. "Are you cold?"

"Just a little." Their close proximity suddenly made her conscious.

The other woman observed their exchange closely, her hands balling up into fists.

Fei Huangjin set his flute on the cocktail table and didn't hesitate to remove his jacket and place it over her shoulders. If it was a show his secretary wanted, then it was a show he would provide. It was certainly better than being subjected to Liu Meiqing's flirting and Mayor Liu's matchmaking.

She blushed at the attention she was receiving from Feo Huangjin. "Thank you, darling." She briefly gave Lu Meiqing the side-eye and gloated at the obvious hatred in the woman's eyes. Her boss was finally getting into character so she might as well soak that in.

Who knew CEO Fei was capable of acting like a tender loving boyfriend, after all?

"Mayor Liu, Attorney Liu, please excuse us. I'll let her breathe on fresh air for a bit." He put his arm around Ying Yue and led her away, not sparing the other woman another glance.

"Of course. Of course. Take your time, CEO Fei." The mayor set them off and pulled her daughter closer. When the pair was gone, he whispered conspiratorially, "It seems CEO Fei is taken by the woman. I saw her ring."
