I just came from Fei Huangjin's office

Zhang Zihan lifted both hands in the air in a display of surrender. He stood up, glancing at Ying Yue with a longing look. Her moist, pink lips and fair skin made her look like a little cherry blossom floating on the water. He suddenly thought that Fei Huangjin must have thought of her the same way.

The memory of his earlier attempt at asking out Secretary Ying made him shy away slightly in embarrassment. "I'm gonna go now before you start serving me dog food."

"You should stop playing around and get yourself a girlfriend." Fei Huangjin said pointedly.

The other man grinned. He was almost pushing thirty, but he had no plans of settling down anytime soon. His business was booming and beautiful chicks digged a bachelor in his prime. "No can do. Hey, secretary Ying, if this iceblock bores you, call me." He winked at her and hurriedly left the room.

The extinguished flame inside Fei Huangjin blazed again and he yelled at Zhang Zihan's back. "Who are you calling an iceblock? Hey!"

The large wooden door to his office closed with a click.

As Zhang Zihan was walking to the carpark, he dialed Xiao Yifeng's number. He couldn't wait to tell Yifeng about this juicy piece of news.

The man picked up after a few rings.

"Zihan?"

"I just came from Fei Huangjin's office."

Xiao Yifeng's brow furrowed. He had stepped out of a meeting just to take Zhang Zihan's call, thinking it was an emergency. Did he really have to call just to tell him this? "I'm in a middle of a meeting."

Zihan's laugh filtered through the phone. "Oh you're gonna love what I'm about to tell you. I was having a nice chat with Huangjin just now."

His brow sunk even lower. "Did you invite him out?"

"I did, and guess what," he grinned, glancing at the two girls who were passing by him on the way to his car. Damn, Huangjin's company had a lot of pretty women.

"What?"

"He has a girlfriend."

"What?" Xiao Yifeng blinked. He was joking, right? Fei Huangjin didn't do girlfriends. They all knew that.

When a girl claimed to be Fei Huangjin's girlfriend back in high school, they all found her expelled the next day with a public apology posted on the bulletin board. The man wasn't just scary, he was downright a devil who refused to be tied down.

Zhang Zihan laughed as he got in his car. "He hooked up with secretary Ying."

"Secretary Ying? His secretary? That woman outside his office?" He scratched his head. There was a long list of women who either wanted to date him, sleep with him, or marry him. So how in the world did he end up with Secretary Ying?

"Yep."

"I don't know what to say."

"I know." Zhang Zihan turned on his car with a press of a button. "I was asking her out and he just started making out with her like an angry beast."

"What?" Xiao Yifeng shook his head in disbelief.

The voice over the phone laughed louder. "I'm kidding! Haha let's just get Old Fei drunk this Saturday. In vino veritas![1] I'll bring over the whiskey, gin, and girls. You bring over the meat." His car exited the carpark and he started speeding off with his Lamborghini to catch the green light.

Xiao Yifeng sighed. Were the girls really necessary? If they were going to interrogate their good friend with his new relationship, there was no way to do it with Zhang Zihan's string of women crowding the room. "You bring the whiskey and gin. I'll get us some Wagyu beef. Your place or mine?"

"Mine. It's a meeting of bachelors. We might as well do it in a legitimate bachelor's pad."

The CEO of Xiao Enterprises caught himself rolling his eyes. He had a bachelor's pad, too, but he was looking after his niece these days so a portion of his upscale apartment was reduced to playground for a 6-year-old girl.

"Sure." He ended the call but Xiao Yifeng still wasn't sure if he heard things right. Fei Huangjin got himself a girlfriend? No way.

"CEO Xiao."

He turned to look at his assistant with his eyebrows raised.

"Your father just arrived. He's looking for you."

He nodded his head and rushed back to the meeting, cursing Zhang Zihan for calling him just to gossip.
