The next thing she knew, Fei Huangjin had dragged her to his house with one arm and their groceries in the other, and she was carried away by his efficiency and aloofness. She expected him to release her when they got inside. However, the moment she stepped in, Fei Huangjin dropped the groceries to the floor and turned to her, his eyes sweeping across her momentarily before he took a step closer.
Ying Yue took a step back but found herself trapped between him and the door.
"What are you doing?" She frowned as she noted that he was looking at her much like how a tiger was when it saw a stray sheep. "Stop looking at me like that."
Fei Huangjin took another step closer until there was barely any space between them, his hands tightly gripping both sides of her waist. She reflexively moved her hands up to his chest to push him away, but with how strong he was, she almost seemed like she was just patting him gently instead.
"What are you so worried about?" He sneered as his face was traced with a mild sense of hostility. "Didn't you say I was gay?"
His words were laced with scornful sarcasm, making Ying Yue annoyed by his tone. "Don't be so uptight. Can't you take a joke?"
"Saying it once makes it a joke, but saying it twice in one day -- to my understanding -- means that you must really think that way." Looking down at her from a condescending height with his body towering over her, worry flashed on Ying Yue's face.
"Don't make a big deal out of this." She snapped.
"A big deal?" A hoarse laugh escaped from Fei Huangjin's throat. It sounded a lot like the rumble of thunder right before the pouring rain. He was exuding quite a dangerous aura at that moment which for some reason made Ying Yue worry slightly. "Why don't I try to convince you just how much of a man I am?"
"Don't play games with me, Huangjin." His current state slightly frightened Ying Yue, which was a feeling that was unfamiliar to her for almost six years already. Fei Huangjin had always been cold and domineering in the office, but when it came to her, he treated her well, even before they started "dating."
"I'm not playing games with you, Ying Yue." Fei Huangjin said as one of his hands travelled up to the back of her neck to secure her head. "I'm just teaching you a lesson about what a real man is like."
Fei Huangjin's suave looks were suddenly amplified through Ying Yue's eyes, with his charming woody scent getting stronger, and she didn't quite understand what happened next.
A warm breath mingled with her own and soft lips were glued to hers. The sensation was overwhelming and almost too much for her to bear as her eyelids fluttered close.
It didn't last long, and when Fei Huangjin adjusted his lips against hers to kiss her more thoroughly, Ying Yue woke up from the trance and started pushing him away with as much strength as she could muster. No matter how much training she underwent in Juyan, however, she was still a bit skinny, and she was up against the Dragon Club's mountain master who had trained his whole life to be worthy of leading Asia's primary syndicate group. Her efforts to get away from him were in vain.
Instead of putting space between them, her body was brought even closer to his as Fei Huangjin pushed her further up against the door, anchoring his hips against her to prevent her from escaping.
"No…" She tried to dodge with her head, but his lips followed hers closely wherever she went. In the end, the hand on the back of her neck tightened and the unique flavor of Fei Huangjin invaded her mouth completely.
He tasted slightly of mint intermixed with his own male flavor that sent tingles down her spine. She shuddered.
Unconsciously, her lips started moving on their own.
