You know that only women gossip

At lot B-8 of Majestic Gardens, the Fei family chauffer dropped off the second young master at his villa.

Fei Haocheng had just gotten back on a business trip to A city and was lazing about in his living room with his luggage parked on one side of the couch. The maids assigned to his villa were always sent back to the main house after dinner, so his villa was eerily quiet in the dead of the night.

One arm was hooked behind his head as he scrolled through the messages on his phone. His darling Lina had not replied to him ever since his brother refused to grant him leave to be with his honey, and now he was losing his chance of finally getting a girlfriend.

He was the second young master of the Fei family. He was such a rich and excellent man; and he was even the Vice President of Fei International! Because of this, he still couldn't quite understand why he'd been rejected by countless women.

"This is all Huangjin's fault! Women always flock to him even if he doesn't want them. And when someone likes me, he holds me back. Now Lina's not talking to me. What a bother! What's so great about that frosty man anyway? He doesn't even know how to treat a woman right." Fei Haocheng felt so wronged tonight that he cursed his brother in his heart.

His phone suddenly rang, and he sat up startled thinking it was his darling Lina.

However, the name that registered was Qiu Chengtong, the COO of their company. "Aaaaarrrrgggh!" He had half the mind to throw out his phone. But business was business and he had responsibilities to do. Clearing his throat, he accepted the call and grimaced as the line went through. "Qiu Chengtong."

"Vice President Fei, I just have some concerns I wanted to discuss. I hope your business trip was fruitful."

The two discussed a couple of matters that required his attention: concerns for the A city project, upcoming negotiations with some suppliers, parties they had to attend, and many more. But in the middle of their conversation, COO Qiu said something that shocked him.

"Vice President Haocheng, have you heard about the gossip involving your brother?" The truth was, Qiu Chengtong could wait until the next day to talk business with Fei Haocheng, but the company was already buzzing with the news of Fei Huangjin's relationship with his secretary that he couldn't help calling the second young master about it.

"Gossip? You know that only women gossip, COO Qiu!" Haocheng admonished him.

"Ah. It seems you have not. I was going to ask you if it was true…"

This sparked Haocheng's curiosity, sitting up to cross his legs, one elbow perching on the armrest to support his head. He completely forgot that just a minute ago, he was acting detestedly towards company gossip. "Okay, okay, just tell me!"

"Well…" Qiu Chengtong could be heard scratching his head through the phone. "My secretary asked me about it this afternoon. It seems that some of the staff had seen CEO Fei and Secretary Ying arriving at the company together, and they were also seen out on a lunch date."

Haocheng did not reply. He thought it was perfectly normal for his brother and his secretary to head to work together. Haocheng sometimes even had working lunches with his own secretary. "Is that all?"

"There's a photo of them walking together with the CEO's arm around her waist."

"What?" Fei Haocheng's eyes widened in disbelief. "He actually touched a woman? Where's that photo? Send it to me. Send it now!"

"Okay. Okay." Qiu Chengtong was disappointed. It seemed that the Vice President didn't know anything about it.

Their call ended and Fei Haocheng's phone was immediately bombarded with pictures of Fei Huangjin and Secretary Ying, looking intimate as they walked side by side with his brother's hand on her waist. There were several shots taken, and at different angles, too. There was even a photo of the two walking back to the company from a nearby restaurant, their hands linked together.

"What the hell?" He browsed through the photos one by one. Disbelief marred his eyebrows until his eyes gleamed. "I can't believe he's actually dating a woman! And here I thought he was batting for the other team."

If his brother and secretary Ying were together, does that mean that the cold and emotionless Fei Huangjin won't be interfering with the affairs of his heart? His excitement was quickly washed away when he realized that his brother, who was indeed cold, emotionless, and did not interest himself with women, had already gotten a girlfriend before he could. Yet he, Fei Haocheng, who was generous and charming, was still single. He suddenly felt that life was unfair.
