Since when do you cook?

"I'll take that." Fei Huangjin swiped the marriage certificates off Ying Yue's hands and tucked them inside a folder. She eyed him with disdain.

"Why are you the one keeping it?"

He threw the folder onto the backseat and started the car. "If you get mad at me, I don't want you going on a rage and tearing them apart." He flashed her a grin to imply that he was kidding, but in all honesty, he was dead serious with what he said.

If his father really betrayed Ying Shen's last wishes, would she stay with him? Would she believe that he wanted to make sure to find the truth of the matter before telling her? The thought nagged at him at the back of his head.

"I'm not that unreasonable." She laughed.

The sound of her laughter brought him back to the present moment -- where a beautiful woman was sitting on his passenger seat, now legally the young madame of the Fei's. She began telling him about an argument she had with Big Boss a couple of months back, and he had called her the most unreasonable woman existent. She giggled and laughed uninhibitedly. And those sounds were beginning to be his favorite melody.

Fei Huangjin glanced at his watch. It was almost noon time. "I booked a table for us at… somewhere nice." He called up the Grand Oriental Hotel while she was still sleeping and booked the entire garden just for the two of them. He also paid handsomely to get them to set the place up for a romantic lunch.

He wasn't able to give her a proper wedding proposal. It was the least he could do to make up for that.

Ying Yue was silent. He glanced at her and saw that she didn't look that excited.

"What's wrong?"

She turned to him with a rueful smile. "Let's stay at home and cook something together. I don't feel a lot like being in public right now."

His lips turned up at the corners. He could still picture out the sight of all the instant noodles stocked up at her kitchen. "Since when do you cook?"

She made a face and laughed. "You cook, and I'll help."

Fei Huangjin nodded in agreement. "Let's head to the supermarket then." He was too busy admiring the fact that she called his house their "home" to realize that all his efforts to have a romantic outdoor lunch with her was going down the drain. He thought about asking her to move in as soon as possible.

Laughter filled Fei Huangjin's house at the Majestic Gardens as Ying Yue unsuccessfully tried to help out Fei Huangjin as he cooked dinner for them. The chives she was tasked to chop looked like a wet mess of tiny confetti, with some of them sprinkled on the floor. Unfortunately, there were no extras left to chop properly.

"You've never chopped chives before?" There was an incredulous look on Fei Huangjin's face as he eyed the mess she made.

She laughed at the expression on his face. "I'm sorry! But just so you know, just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I should be expected to know all domestic stuff like this!"

"Then why are you so defensive about it?" His lips thinned, and then he leaned on the kitchen counter and sighed. "I'll handle the rest of dinner. You go rest before you destroy all the vegetables and spices here."

"Then excuse me, the princess shall roam around the castle." She floated out of the kitchen, with a laugh that could be heard from a mile away.

Ying Yue had never explored Fei Huangjin's house fully. And she hummed a light tune as she touched the pale gray walls of the ground floor hall. The minimalist decor seemed a little detached, just like how she dressed up her apartment. However, she was going to be staying here for a long time. With a little sprucing up here and there, it would certainly feel a lot more homey.

She was heading to the outdoor patio when a door at the end caught here eye.
