"The number you are calling is out of coverage area."
Ying Yue frowned. She sat in the quiet living room of Fei Huangjin's house at Majestic Gardens, eating a cracker and sipping on some wine. She had no appetite for a proper meal. The previous night, she had sat in that very position, albeit in a drastically different state of mind. That time, she had a smile on her face, and her nose was thrusted in the air as she inhaled the lingering scent of Fei Huangjin in the air.
But tonight, she didn't know what to feel.
"The number you are calling is out of coverage area."
Her lips thinned in displeasure and a flash of worry crossed her briefly. She hadn't heard from Fei Huangjin for the past two days, and now she couldn't get ahold of him.
Almost two thousand miles away, in a mountainous range of a certain province in the Philippines, Fei Huangjin was standing outside a mountain home rented out for him and Guan Ting. He was holding up his smartphone, waving it around, trying to find network signal to call his wife. "Guan Ting!"
The man peeked out from the hut, sporting only a plain white shirt and jeans. "Boss?"
"Give me the satellite phone." Fei Huangjin glanced at Guan Ting only to see him still standing there. "Give it to me or I'll make sure to leave you here."
When they arrived in the country and went straight to the address of the man they were looking for, they found his apartment in the city empty. After some investigation, they learned that he moved to the mountain areas to make it difficult for anyone to find him.
Indeed, they still weren't sure where he was. The old man was really grating on his nerves. The sooner it took to find him, the sooner he could get back to his wife.
"Uh, boss…" Guan Ting flexed his neck as he eyed Fei Huangjin hesitantly. "We didn't bring it."
"What do you mean we didn't bring it?"
"Well I thought we were just going to stay in the city, so I didn't pack it."
Fei Huangjin's eyes blazed in fury. Without a satellite phone, how in the world was he going to call his wife? "If something happens to Ying Yue back home without my knowledge, I swear I'll hang you to that tree over there and leave you here for good!" He stomped back to the house, leaving Guan Ting rolling his eyes.
That woman was like a tiger living inside a bunny rabbit. She even had the guts to beat him up. He was 100% sure nothing would happen to her.

"Hi, I'm Secretary Ying Yue from Fei International. I'm here to see COO Song Yinan." Ying Yue glanced briefly at the receptionist's nameplate.
The woman nodded with a small smile and asked, "Do you have an appointment?"
"No. But tell him Miss Ying Yue is looking for him."
The receptionist looked at her oddly. There were quite a number of women who came here to stalk the director and the COO, and she wouldn't be surprised if this woman was one of them. "Take a seat, Miss Ying. I'll just have to check in with the COO."
Ying Yue narrowed her eyes at her. She had a feeling the woman wasn't going to call Song Yinan's office at all. "I'll wait here while you call." She raised a perfectly-shaped eyebrow at the woman, daring her to say anything against it.
The woman opened her mouth to speak, but, as if deciding against it, she closed it instead, picking up the phone with an annoyed look. "Good morning, this is reception. A certain miss Ying Yue is looking for the COO. Is he available?" She glanced at Ying Yue, only to find her watching her like a hawk.
Song Yinan's secretary, who picked up the call, forwarded the question to Song Yinan, who froze in his seat when he heard the name. "Come again?" He asked.
"Reception says that a Miss Ying Yue is looking for you, sir. Should I tell them you're busy?"
Song Yinan unfroze himself and finished signing the documents on his desk, handing them over to his secretary. "Let her come up."
The receptionist's eyes grew wide as she listened to the COO's secretary from the other end. Let her come up? She glanced at Ying Yue again, who was now looking at her pointedly with a smug smile.
