Chapter 26

The usually calm Rin was swearing how shameless the other party was. He was the one who was attacked and now they even reported him for being the aggressor? He never felt so infuriated at someone in his life!

He took sometimes to explain the whole situation to Sylvia and she stayed rather silent after hearing the whole story.

"Don't return to your dorm, I will send a car to drive you to my estate. Let me handle the rest." Sylvia cut the call without giving him a chance to say anything else.

Sylvia's face was as dark as night.

From the story she was told, she knew who that so called young master was. He was Ron Gatesburg, a truly spoilt brat that her grandfather previously introduced him to her as a potential marriage candidate. Her grandfather himself did not hear good things about Ron but he owed the grandfather of Ron because the latter once saved his life. So he agreed to let his granddaughter meet his grandson and if they hit it off they would be betrothed.

Soon the big meeting came and they met at his house under her many protests one might add but her grandfather wouldn't hear of it. Favors were especially hard to repay when you had power and The Gatesburg just used his debt on just a single meeting so if they wanted to waste it, it was perfectly fine with him.

The house was extravagant and the workers dressed well even more extravagantly. It was a touch too much in Sylvia's opinion. Grandpa Syl on the other hand just sneered instead. It was too gaudy in his opinion.

"Hahaha! What a sight for sore eyes! How have you been my old friend!"

"It's been too long, you seem as chipper as ever Gatesburg."

"You too my old friend, still having that grumpy expression. You should smile more, after all you have such a cute granddaughter."

Grandpa Syl made a 'tch' internally, he never liked Gatesburg especially that fake smile of his but for formality sake he kept up the conversation. Syl just waited by her grandfather's side quietly, wanting to get this stupid meeting over and done with.

'Tap tap tap' a sound was coming from the staircase.

"Ah my dear daughter, where has that rascal Ron gotten to? Our guests have already arrived."

"He will be down shortly father, oh my you must be Sylvia! Indeed you will grow up to become a beauty, truly a doll!"

"Thank you." Sylvia responded without much emotion. She clearly did not care much about the compliments given.

Though the Gatesburgs had thick faces so they were still smiling and laughing like nothing was wrong.

Ron soon came down fully dressed, wearing a bowtie along with a small suit. You could call him relatively handsome but he had a haughty look which made people want to smack him.

"Oh you naughty rascal what took you so long. Come and greet our guests for tonight."

Ron initially was looking more at grandpa Syl especially since he was giving off a scary aura around him but when he turned he could have sworn his saw an angel. The moment he saw her he was instantly smitten!
