Chapter 1. New School

Aaron's POV

My names is Aaron, well not really. When I was born I wasn't given a name so I just called myself Aaron. My parents couldn't decide so they just called me different names. Names that weren't very nice. They always said I was hard to handle. I didn't even know if I was related to them as I was different. I had powers and they didn't. The world I was born into isn't really nice to society. My world is different. It goes from being normal to having powers. They only difference was if you had powers you were considered a freak.

I was a child that had powers. Only a few people had these powers. They tend to stick together, I however tend to stay by myself. Now I'll stop monologuing and let the story begin.

"Brat, get down stairs now!" My mother called. There's a name, Brat. I don't know what I did. "Coming!" I yelled. The problem with me was I didn't just have powers, I had problems with my height and strength. And no strength wasn't one of my powers according to the doctors.

I got out of bed and got dressed. My house was only small. I had the smallest room in the house. It was smaller than the office. I could only fit a single bed and a shelf in the room. I walked out the door, forgetting how tall I was. My head went through the wall that the door was on. "Oh shoot." I said quietly.

My sister came out of the room that was next door to mine. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Look at the wall." I said pointing to it. "Oh, that's gonna lead you to a beating." She said. Beatings were for the weak. She walked away. Beatings was the least of my worries. I shook my head and went downstairs, making loud noises in the process. I tried to be quiet. I was about to sit on a chair. "Don't sit there!" my mother shouted. "And why not?" I asked.

"Because you'll break the chair. We are not rich people like the Stones." Mum scolded. I took her word and stood up to eat, eating the plate in the process. "Erica, here's $100 dollars to spend whenever you want." Mum said. Rich, was she lying to me. I guess it was fair, they spent money on me to get my clothes made and my shoes fitted. I had a feeling all that would stop since they didn't like me very much. I'd have to find a job or something to support myself. I couldn't just read supernatural books all day for the rest of my life.

The author of the books make it seem like supernatural is real. It's like a man can change into a wolf or grow fangs. It all seemed so real. They even used the term Lycan or Lycanthrope. I always had questions. If people had powers then could people change from human to wolf? I didn't know. What if I was a Lycan? It scared me. What if my strength and height came from Lycanthrope genes? Ugh nothing made sense. I had all the symptoms of what a Lycan would have. What about blood cravings? Lycans don't crave blood, only Vampires do.

The thought made my stomach churn. I decided that I was going to go to school early. I grabbed my bag and ran. I ran at a non human pace.

I made it to school within five minutes. The problem was I was feared in my old school. I didn't know what would happen. People always said I was too strong for my own good. It was my own natural strength. "Hey dude." Someone said, breaking me from my thoughts. "What do you want?" I asked angrily. "Why are you so angry?" He asked. "Because I am, it's none of your business!" I yelled. "Okay, all I wanted to talk about was Lycanthrope." He said. "Lycan's are not real!" I spat. "Fine, whatever, I'll just get out of your way." He said. I was telling the truth. I didn't know if Lycan's were real. I didn't even know if I was one.

It was my first day of school so I had no friends. I decided to go to the front office. "Hey can I get my schedule please?" I asked. The lady just stared at me like I was doing the wrong thing. "Uhhh hello?" I said, waving my hand in front of her face. It looked like she was afraid. She suddenly snapped out of her trance. "What did you ask?" She asked. "Can I have my schedule please?" I asked. "Um sure?" she said. It sounded more like a question. What is with everyone here. She handed me my schedule. "Thanks" I replied before leaving.

What is with everyone? Am I doing something wrong? Is something missing? I asked myself loads of questions in my head. I felt like everyone got a bad vibe from me. Was I that scary? I had my locker number and everything, including my dorm number. I heard with dorms you share with another person. I wonder who I was gonna share with.

"Hey, are you new here?" someone asked. I turned around. "Yeah, yeah I am." I said. "Well I'll help you out. First off what's your dorm and locker number?" The girl asked. "Um my locker number is 000a and my dorm is 000." I responded. "Wow, okay, that's a odd number. My dorm number is 789 the same with my locker number which is 789a. They match it up." she said. "So can I see my dorm?" I asked. "Sure, follow me." she said plainly. I followed her outside then down an alley. She then led me to the buildings which I assumed to be where the dorms are. We went down some stairs to a door. What a weird place to have a dorm room.

"Is this a dorm room?" I asked, unsure. "No silly, this is where I need to get your key." she said shaking her head. She got the key, shutting the door behind her. She led me up the stairs that were opposite the ones coming down. We walked pretty far. "So how far away is my dorm?" I asked. "Well the dorm your in is one of the best dorms in this school. In fact your dorm is the best. Here at this school your ranked on strength. Only the strongest come here. If your weak, you have a hard time finding your way. If your strong, you have it easy. Luckily I was put into the strong category." She explained.

"So how do you find out what category your in?" I asked. "Oh you just have to attend this thing. It happens every year at the beginning. Its a strength test. All newbies have to do it. I guess the people who are ranked weak have other smarts, like acedemic." She explained. "Oh okay." I said. "Also when we get to your dorm you have to wear the wrist band that is on the desk. It identifies you as whatever rank you are. It doesn't matter about where your dorm is." She explained. "Oh so when will my test be?" I asked. "Hmmm, yours should be in an hour." She said. We kept walking. Ugh it was so far.

How far do we have to walk? That's when I saw it. "We are here, the most fancy part if the school. Only highly ranked people can be in this part." She explained. "Wow. This building is fancy." I said. "Of course, my dorm is in this building as well." She said happily. "Well if my dorm is here, then lead the way." I said. "Of course, follow me." she said. We went into the building, into an elevator. I noticed a red button that said 000 which matched my dorm and locker numbers. She pressed the button that said 000 on it. The button was different from the others. The elevator started to go down.

Eventually we got there. The door opened and we walked out. There was a large foyer with a door at the end. "Who had this room before me?" I asked. It was logical to ask. "Shaivaz Woods had this room before you. Rumors have it that after his years here, he had a child and then he just disappeared." She said. "What about the woman he married?" I asked. "She disappeared as well." The girl said. "Before we continue, may I ask your name?" I asked. "Of course, my name is Stella, Stella Sweeney." she said. "Well I'm Aaron, Aaron... Uhh yeah, just Aaron." I said awkwardly. I didn't have a last name.
